I have been driving it and steady crossing my fingers hoping to God my tires don’t fly off and hurt somebody or kill somebody or me… I just can’t do it anymore, I have got to get the thing in the shop it’s got the death wobble and is just starting to scare me.. I love my truck I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but it’s definitely got a problem I honestly think it may be several different things but at any rate it needs to be fixed

After completing the tailgate recall, the vehicle tailgate opens while vehicle is in drive. There is no indicator on the dash for the tailgate being open, and also when you put the truck in reverse with tailgate open the camera defaults to the tailgate camera which stares at the bumper and is unsafe. I was towing a trailer during the last event and the tailgate was crushed between the trailer and truck causing around $5000 in damage. Also some items fell out of the bed on the highway.

Sunday, April 3, 2021, I was driving from Rte 95 to Rte 128 and the 2 lanes began to merge, but as I was driving the truck hit a bump and I got the death wobble. I had to come to, almost, a complete stop on the highway, with another car coming in behind me. I got through this one, but as I was beginning to accelerate onto Rte 128, the truck began once again to shake violently. It did happen again during this one trip. This also happened 2 other times, in March. Our mechanic replaced tie rod end-right lower outer and steering stabilizer on, Thursday, March 31, 2021.

Purchase the truck used from a Ford dealership February 15, 2022 w/39K miles that came with Blue Oval Certified Gold warranty that had an instant inspection. Took delivery February 25 was a online purchase. A week later March 5 driving thru a construction zone at 55MHP at high volume traffic and right front tire hit a high spot of the interstate in the right lane and the trucks steering wheel went into a valent movement/shaking left and right that it was so difficult for me to hold on the steering wheel. This death wobble didn't stop till I was able to exit the interstate at a 40MPH speed. Its obvious the previous owner didn't address this issue. Thank God I was driving because my wife wouldn't been able to hold on the steering wheel as it was purchase to tow our 5th wheel camper. It fears us now towing the camper safety. It's unbelievable Ford never issue a recall for this issue. Its obvious someone must lose a life before a recall is issued.

March 1st 2022 driving at highway speed on Rt 495 S in Massachusetts truck suddenly began to violently shake front end side to side. I was forced to brake, slow down till shaking stopped. Luckily cars behind me and to my right side were able to avoid hitting me. I pulled off highway and checked for something broken or loose. In forward and reverse I couldn’t find anything obvious. Will take my truck to shop today to have front end checked. During violent shaking it was all I could do to hang onto the steering wheel. If I’d only been using one hand who knows what would have happened.

I experienced a “Death Wobble” several times .Ford freelanced my ball joint on right side. When the issue began again Ford replaced my stabilizer bar. It happened again so I replaced both steer tires. Occasionally I still get a wobbly when I hit a rough spot in the road way.

While driving on a local 6 lane Hwy, I traveled across the seam in the pavement from asphalt to concrete at an overpass bridge. The transition from asphalt to concrete resulted in a terrible vibration in my steering wheel that caused the steering wheel to come loose from my hands. I grabbed the wheel and held on and slowed the truck down until the vibration stopped. This is the 5th time this has happened. The truck shakes so violently that it feels like a wheel was coming off the front axle.

Traveling on Interstate at 65mph and truck shook violently out of control after hitting small pothole. Felt like front wheels were wobbling with no ability to steer safely. After braking hard , problem went away around 35 or 40 mph. Super scary and extremely dangerous. Also charged $660 dollars for wheel alignment and placement of shims with a camber adjustment that “wheel wobble will never happen again “. Not happy I had to pay for their manufacturing design problem.

Death Wobble: Traveling at 65 mph, I hit a bump and the front end of the vehicle started shaking violently. I had to hit the brakes and slow down to about 35 before it stopped. This happened 3 times. This is a relatively new vehicle with 50,000 miles. The dealership claims no knowledge or responsibility. This is reported on line chat rooms and u tube extensively.

I am experiencing extremely horrible death wobble to the point that I cannot drive my vehicle. I have taken it to two different Ford dealers in the last five years as well as a repair on my own and it is still not fixed. Ford has not issued a recall as of this date. The death wobble started on my truck at 11,000 miles.

I experienced a violent shaking that happened to the front end of my 2017 Ford F350 Super Duty truck (with 25600 miles on the odometer). It typically occurs at speeds over 50 miles per hour. It's also happened after going over bumps or grooves in the road. I brought my truck into a local repair shop because an appointment with my local dealer wasn't available until Mar 16th (60 days). The repair shop shared with me that they noticed abnormal wear and loosening of the track bar bushing, damper bracket, ball joints, control arms, shocks and struts. Additional they shared its not safe to drive the vehicle in it's current state. Ford has yet to issued a recall for this hazardous defect. Lastly because they haven't admitted to the underlying issue, OEM parts are my only option. This leads to me spending thousands of dollars with no resolution. I very well could be driving a ticking time bomb again.

More and more frequently I am experiencing what the internet calls the death wobble. At just the right speed and angle if I hit a bump or joint in the road my truck and steering wheel begin to violently shake and does not stop until I slow down. In some cases I have to come to a complete stop. I can only imagine the horror if I were towing my toy hauler and this happens.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The failure mostly occurred while driving up an incline. During the failure, the check engine, low fuel, and reduce engine power warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced fuel filters and low-pressure fuel pump however, the failure recurred. The contact was informed that the entire fuel system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 225,000.

On this 2017 F350 Super Duty the rear tail lamps fill with water and short out the CAN BUS communication system on the vehicle due to water in the connector for the blind spot sensor in the light housing. This causes the vehicle to become unresponsive to driver commands on the CAN BUS. This also shorts our the trailer 7 pin connector and trailer lighting is disabled preventing other drivers from seeing traffic signals from affected vehicle. Ford refuses to warranty or remedy the issue. This is a safety issues, especially when traveling with a loaded trailer with horses. This is a known issue with Ford, the only resolution on the road was to drill a small hole to drain water and allow the vehicle to respond to operator commands. With a loaded trailer with horses on the side of the road this is extremely dangerous to the driver, passengers, other drivers and animals.

On dual rear wheel setup. Galvanic corrosion between metal valve stem and aluminum wheel caused air to leak out resulting in an unsafe condition where unequal tire pressures between the inner tire and outer tire caused unpredictable situation under normal driving condition and would have multiplied under towing condition where added weight on tire would have decreased my response time in the event of a tire failure.

Hitting the smallest bump in the road at highway seed causes the steering wheel to shake violently. The vehicle is uncontrollable at this point. One has to slow down considerably to regain control. This situation is very dangerous. From what I understand this is a very common problem with this model. Milage does not seem to be a factor.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated while his son was driving 65 MPH and going over a bridge, the driver noticed that the steering wheel had started to shake abnormally causing the vehicle to also shake abnormally. The brake pedal was depressed, and the failure ceased when the vehicle was stopped. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer who diagnosed the failure as a dampening valve system for the power steering assist that was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

I have experienced multiple issues with my wheels valve stems leaking. I have gotten a couple stems replaced and the problem persists. I am adding air to my tires nearly everyday. I have read a lot of threads online with owners of the same year, make, and model are having the same problems. This is a safety concern because my family and I use this vehicle for travel and I cannot be having flat tires or be stranded because my tires won’t hold air. This truck has been to the dealer multiple times for this. Ron Tirapelli Ford Shorewood IL. The vehicle was also purchased there. I receive warning lights for low tire pressure regularly.

Released parking brake, placed vehicle in drive and began to move forward, after moving roughly 30ft, the rear tires locked up and the vehicle skid to a stop. Repeated attempts to move the vehicle forward or backwards were unsuccessful. Lifted the rear of the vehicle, removed the rear tires and rotors and found all the parking brake pads completely delaminated (separated) from the shoes (on both sides of the vehicle). 3 out of the 4 linings were also broke. Components are available for inspection. Luckily this occurred in my driveway at slow speeds. Not confirmed by dealer, could not move the vehicle out of my driveway, removed rotors myself. No other individuals have inspected the vehicle. There were no warnings from the vehicle systems.
