The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving with cruise control engaged, the cruise control system accelerated and failed to recognize objects or vehicles ahead. The contact was forced to manually override the cruise control system to regain control of the vehicle and prevent an accident. The contact stated that a "Driver Override" warning message appeared on the instrument panel as the vehicle accelerated without the contact depressing the accelerator pedal. A dealer was notified of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled to have the vehicle inspected. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

The contact leased a 2025 RAM 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed to park the vehicle inside the residence's garage, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated, crashed through the rear wall of the garage, and into a snowbank, where the vehicle came to a stop. No warning light was illuminated. The garage rear wall and lawn care equipment were damaged. No injury was sustained. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was repaired. The contact stated that while the technician was conducting a post-repair test-drive, the failure reoccurred when there was a sudden acceleration. The technician was able to stop the vehicle. The contact was advised to tow the vehicle to the dealer for further inspection. The dealer was made aware of the failure and requested a manufacturer engineer inspection. The engineer inspected the vehicle at the same independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the vehicle had passed the inspection, and there was no electrical issue. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.

The Throttle response is very slow when slowing down and then trying to take back off you are half throttle or more before anything happens, i have had to pull off the road to keep other vehicles from hitting me because the vehicle would not go. There has been a few times on the interstate that the throttle would not accept throttle at all and i would have to keep mashing it to finally get it to respond. I have had the truck at two dealerships and they tell me it is normal and the throttle is acting as it should. This is going to get me or someone Killed!!!! My friend bought a new 2026 ram truck and he says the same thing so this is a newer model ram problem.

Gear shift cluster lights up and flashes dash states service gear shift will not start or go in gear. No codes found. Happened multiple times but never while at dealership. Now the dash cluster keeps randomly going black but never longer than 2 mins so I can't take it to the dealership while it happens. And now the backup camera is randomly flashing blue sometimes instead of showing an image. I have videos of different instances

First I would get a check engine light and infotainment screen would go black and odometer started blinking. Restart required. Occasionally the key fob is not detected. Reset the check engine light twice. Once at Huntington Beach RAM and once at Sunnyvale Chrysler. Both times the technician was unable to determine cause of fault. Slowly the failures became worse. The vehicle infotainment system and safety features that controls propulsion and ADAS intermittently started to fail and ultimately the truck started to stall. This stalling occurred 15 minutes after a service oil change and tire rotation at Sunnyvale Chrysler / RAM. Had to tow vehicle back to Sunnyvale. Batteries changed. Tech stalled on test drive after about 5 miles. RAM app still oddly indicates low battery, even though Sunnyvale replaced both batteries. Additionally, the trailer tow module (under recall) information / status on the infotainment screen menu started flashing. The trailer tow module recall was not installed as scheduled, even though parts were checked and available, however due to parts shortage, dealer indicated sales vehicle get priorities for the modules at this time. The screen started changing status without touching the screen or menu buttons. This is a serious condition I feel warrants complete check out and repair to avoid safety concerns due to failures / hazards in the operational effectiveness of the vehicle systems / controls, that could increase risk of an accident ,that might lead to vehicle or property damage, injuries or other catastrophic events. Vehicle has experienced multiple incidents of sudden loss of propulsion, including at highway speeds. Engine revs when accelerator is applied but vehicle does not accelerate, as if in neutral. Multiple warning lights illuminate, including “Service Transmission.” I narrowly avoided a rear-end collision. Diagnostic codes recorded include U0402 (invalid data from transmission control module) and U1003 (CAN communication fault). Vehicle has required towing for one incident and multiple service visits with no permanent fix. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing intermittent electrical and driver assistance system malfunctions. These issues included warning messages, unexpected system behavior, and periods where multiple advanced driver assistance features were unavailable or disabled. The problem first occurred around April 4, 2025, at approximately 665 miles. Since then, the issue has occurred intermittently and has been difficult to predict or reliably reproduce. I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealer multiple times for warranty repair. On at least one visit, the dealer was unable to duplicate the concern. On subsequent visits, the dealer performed warranty-related diagnostics and repairs; however, the original issues have not been clearly confirmed as resolved. At times, the vehicle was deemed drivable but not confirmed to be fully repaired. Manufacturer technical assistance (STAR/engineering) has been involved in reviewing data and test results. As of the most recent service visit, the vehicle remains under review, and I do not have confirmation that the root cause has been identified or corrected. The intermittent nature of the malfunction and loss of driver assistance features creates concern for vehicle reliability and safety, especially when the systems fail without warning.

Unable to smoothly and safely accelerate from a stop. If you apply the lightest possible touch to the throttle the vehicle will surge and have a shuttering feeling, not smooth or linear, once pressed slightly further the truck accelerates in an unsafe fashion both forward and reverse . Hooking up a trailer is very dangerous as are all maneuvers when pulling away from a stop.

My speedometer is off by 9mph while traveling 70mph. When I purchased my vehicle new from the dealer, they had already installed bigger tires. I noticed that my speedometer showed 70mph and my gps showed 79mph. I took it to the dealer and they showed me where they had programed the new tire size in the computer but it did not adjust my speedometer. The service manager said its withing normal limits. I have been pulled over twice for "speeding" when my speedometer said 58mph and the cop said he clocked me at 65mph. I feel like this could be a saftey issue for potentially speeding in unsafe zones such as construction or school zones without knowing it.

Driving on the highway with cruise control set, heard a beep and looked at my instrument cluster. Cluster went blank, cruise control turned off, lane management turned off. Then another beep turned on instrument panel and now was frozen at 0 as I was driving at highway speed. Next I was stopped at the off ramp and instrument panel said I was doing 57. I have videos of it happening. And it is in a constant frozen to reboot stage

The instrument cluster panel went blank for over 40 miles, despite us stopping, shutting off and restarting, etc. We had no idea what speed we were going or any of the metrics monitored by the instrument cluster like turn signals, fuel level, engine temperature, etc. No cruise control. We took it to an auto parts store that captured the error code U0155. The RAM app on my Iphone also sent a warning that the blind spot monitoring failed. I will be bringing it to Champion Chrysler Dodge Ram in Lansing, MI, on 7/7/2025 and do not intend to take it back until this problem is resolved. While the instrument cluster panel went back to normal since then, how can I be assured it will not fault again and what safety protocols can I rely upon?

Adaptive cruise control does not work, Forward collision warning does not work, pedestrian emergency braking does not work, auto emergency braking does not work among other non safety issues. Dealer is aware and has ordered a new infotainment system which controls all these safety features but is unable to get it from the manufacturer for the last 6 months. This system did not work from the day I picked up the vehicle

On 4/22/25 I was driving home from store and my truck down shifted to low and wouldn't come out of gear .the screen went blue as well. The truck has been in shop for 5 weeks and was told the truck had several codes that they couldn't figure out and the code are scrambled. I asked the service manager if the truck is safe and he said he thinks it should be. I was told by Stellantis Representative that they are trying g to get a regional engineer to find out what ls going on . I was also told by the Service Manager at Greenville Chrysler if they can't duplicate the issue they are going to release the vehicle. I told them several times that I have to be guaranteed that the truck is safe for my family and my self.
