Transmission would not engage after stopping at stop sign. Initially accelerated to go thru intersection and truck would not engage any gears and was stuck in the middle of the intersection. Switched gear shift to several gears and drive modes and finally engaged in manual shift. Transmission continued to slip and switch to several gears and skip several gears until arriving at destinations regular drive gear selection. Did not see any issues under the vehicle after parking and fluids appear to be clean and filled up to normal levels. Made appointment immediately for service.

Was driving at highway speeds when transmission unexpectedly shifted from 10th gear into first gear. It lurched the truck back hard, almost losing control. Speed was decreased and then brought back to 70mph. This is then when the truck shifted back from first into 10th held at 10th for a little bit and then did it again shifting from 10th into 1st lurching the truck back. The service light from the transmission came on after this. I pulled over and looked under the truck and saw it leaking transmission fluid. I then turned the truck off and on and put it back into gear and tried reverse, it didn’t go into reverse so I tuned it off and on again and reverse came back. I had the truck towed to a dealership where they inspected the transmission and replaced parts in it. After being there for 2 months waiting on the parts I finally got it back. I know Ford has had investigations in the past for the 6 speeds transmissions unexpectedly shifting. And I now know they’re being investigated again for newer models in the 6 and 10 speed transmissions.

Truck was going down the highway at 75mph when the transmission went from 10th gear to 1st. I have videos of this happening several times and then eventually a gear symbol appeared on dash. From day 1 when I bought the truck new it would have a hard time shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. It would lung forward or not even shift and the truck would just roll forward trying to figure out what gear it is in. I've taken the truck in to multiple dealers and all they would ever do is reset the computer. Once I took the truck in for the 10th to 1st gear issue. The service advisor said his trcuk had the same issue and he was able to get it fixed under warranty but I was already out of the warranty so they couldn't do anything about the 3 and 4 issue. For the shifting from 10 to 1. They rebuilt the transmission and put some locking device to keep fluid flowing into the case. Since the repair that I had to pay out of pocket for. I still have the 3 and 4 shifting problem. Only happens on cold starts when I'm accelerating up or down a hill. The new issue I'm now having is a hard shifting into reverse. Ford keeps telling me I don't qualify for any reimbursement because I'm outside of the warranty limit, even though, the truck every time I took into a Ford dealership for oil changes, I would complain about the transmission and they would just say it's a known issue but nothing they can do about it. Also after the transmission rebuilt, about 2,000 miles after, driving on the freeway, smoke was billowing out of the bed and transmission fluid was leaking out of the case all underneath the truck. The truck was towed back to dealership and they just said it was filled with too much transmission fluid.

My 2019 F-150, which has less than 60,000 miles, has a bent valve in the 2.7L EcoBoost engine. Bent valves are a known issue for this model engine that has led to a recall for similar engines. Despite being outside the 5-year warranty period, my vehicle is within the mileage limit that Ford sets as a marker for major issues. After contacting Ford Care to request they cover the cost of this premature failure, I waited for over a month to receive their offer. It was for about $4400 of a $10,000+ cost. The partial coverage offered is not sufficient given the circumstances. It's important for Ford to stand by its products and support customers facing problems due to manufacturing defects. Especially with engine models, like mine, that have had so many issues that the company no longer makes or uses that engine model. A recap: • The service advisor at Rick Ridings (my Ford service dealership in Monticello, IL) acknowledges that a vehicle with such low mileage should not have a bent valve and require such extensive, premature repairs. • I’ve found years of reports from other Ford owners in online forums talking about valve issues with this model engine. Early failures of the 2.7L EcoBoost engines were traced to fractured intake valves that caused significant engine damage. • Ford had a massive recall on EcoBoost 2.7L engines from 2021 to 2022 where the issues were with intake valves made from a material not being up to spec. • Today, Ford no longer uses this engine – a decision I'd guess was driven in part by the engine’s history of failure. • Overall, it’s a clear pattern of defects with the valves in the 2.7L EcoBoost engine. I simply want Ford to stand by the customers that buy their products when there appears to be evidence of a manufacturing defect that caused the issue at hand. All I want is the cost of the repair or replacement covered.

When coasting from approximately 30 to 20 mph vehicle will hard downshift from gears 4,3, 2. On the highway, when I need to accelerate to avoid other vehicles that are driving unsafe I will step on the accelerator and transmission will hesitate. Has been more than one occasion when transmission has hestited, hard shifted to different level and has at one occasion randomly shifted to first gear before jumping back to 8th. When in drive at any speed the transmission slips and/or jerks as it's switching gears. It is "sluggish" gaining speed at this time especially when accelerating from a stopped position making it dangerous to enter traffic. You never know if when it's going to happen. We have taken this vehicle several times checking for a recall and told there isn't one and it'll cost us thousands to fix. This started occuring less than 1 year after purchasing.

My transmission experienced the same issue that has affected millions of trucks. The transmission started downshifting from 10th to 1st gear while driving. I had it inspected at my local dealer and they informed me that it was a common issue with the clutch drum sleeve. It just cost me $6200.00 dollars to have it fixed. I only had 86,000 miles on the truck. I dont know how thete is not a recall on this, it's dangerous , if I was on the highway this could have caused me to cause and accident either die or get severely injured myself or even other drivers. Please look into this, this issue is beyond ridiculous and dangerous.
