The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that after her husband had arrived at his destination, upon returning to the vehicle and attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was eventually able to restart and returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The contact stated that the failure seemed to occur after driving the vehicle for longer than 45 minutes to one hour. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure Safety Recall J30. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 92,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, while depressing the accelerator pedal the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that it felt as if the transmission had seized. The contact stated that the RPM was revving however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that during a state inspection, the contact was informed that the passenger’s side rear axle shaft seal was leaking. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.

When driving approximately 45 mph and above the entire car starts to violently shake. I don't know what part causes this problem. I've heard it could be : steering damper, ball joints, tie rods, track bar, front suspension damper cause this. IDK. Until I can afford to take it to a service shop and get it checked and repaired, it sits parked because I'm afraid to drive it. This started about a month ago. Jeep (Stellantis) should be recalling and repairing ALL Wranglers with this problem not just newer models. My car has LOW miles but somehow got excluded from the lawsuit settlement apparently which is going by model years. This is a safety issue.

The oil cooling housing. There was sludge around it and the lines from below the jeep ruptured. causing oil to leak all over the transmission bell. This caused smoking and over all engine. My dad a certified ASE mechanic has looked at it multiple times and fixed various components related to the cooling/heating system.

ABS and check engine light. I am a rural mail carrier, because my ABS light is on it causes my jeep to not accelerate pulling away from mailboxes therefore putting myself and other drivers at risk. The problem has been reproduced at the dealer. Warning lights illuminated at 19687 miles and are still on to this day, no resolution from Jeep. Jeep engineer came to dealership and could not say what was wrong with vehicle.

WHENEVER THE VEHICLE GOES FASTER THAN 70 MPH...POWER IS LOST. IT CONTINUALLY THROWS OFF A CODE OF 0369. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE FOLLOWING TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM: REPLACED ABS SYSTEM; REPLACED STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM; REPLACED OIL FILTER HOUSING; REPLACED THE CAM TWICE; SWAPPED THE CAM; REPLACED THE CAM PHASER; REPLACED ALL 4 CAM PHASERS; RE-FLASHED THE PCM; REPLACED THE PCM. TODAY IT GOES IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE 10TH TIME TO TRY TO GET IT FIXED. IT IS A DEATH TRAP TO ALL THAT SHARE THE ROAD WITH IT, NOT TO MENTION EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE. I PULLED OVER RIGHT AWAY I SMELL A AWFUL SMELL. SO I SHUT MY TRUCK OFF. CALLED MY HUSBAND AND LEAVE MY TRUCK AND GET A RIDE TO DENTAL APPOINTMENT. WE CALLED A TOW TRUCK NEXT DAY TO HAVE IT TOWED TO AUTO REPAIR SHOP. I GET A CALL TWO DAYS LATER STATING MY EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM HAD FAULTED AND ENGAGED IT'S SELF SNAPPING MY AXEL, SPEED SENSOR AND BREAK ROTOR. ALL OF THESE THINGS WERE RIPPED AND EVERYTHING WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM FAILURE. IF I HAD BEEN GOING ON THE HIGH WAY AT HIGH WAY SPEEDS I COULD HAVE FLIPPED MY VEHICLE WITH ME AND MY CHILDREN. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BY THE MANUFACTURER DO TO IT BEING FAULTY EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FEENY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF MIDLAND (7400 EASTMAN AVE, MIDLAND, MI 48642) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THERE WAS CORROSION IN THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED A YEAR LATER. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE STARTER WAS REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEABLE FOR TWO DAYS; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THEY STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,521.

THIS HAS HAPPENED IN LOWER GEARS AS WELL AS HIGHER. THE DEALERSHIP STATES THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM AND ADVISED ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO MUCH SINCE NO DASH LIGHTS GO OFF. I HAVE BOUGHT A CODE READER AND NO CODES ARE THROWN. IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY DOING 65-70 MPH WHILE IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THE CAR LITERALLY JUST SHUTS OFF WITH NO NOTICE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN TRAFFIC. I AM AFRAID THIS WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THE REASON I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS IN TRAFFIC AT A STOPLIGHT AND IT STALLED ON ME 5 TIMES BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO KEEP RUNNING. THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHEN SITTING STILL AND IDOLING. HAD TO DO WITH CAMSHAFT SENSOR, AND TRANSMISSION TORQUE REQUEST BEING DENIED. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE PEOPLE ON ONLINE JEEP FORUMS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE OCCUR. THE DEALERSHIP JUST HAD ME GO AND PICK UP MY VEHICLE EXACTLY AS IT WAS WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. HOPING TO FIND OUT IF ANYBODY HAD THIS ISSUE AND ACTUALLY GOT IT FIXED. HAD THIS ISSUE OCCUR TWICE. ONE TIME WAS THE DAY THAT I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE 7/28/2018 AND THE SECOND WAS ON MY WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 7/31/2018.

HAD IT TOWED TO BELLE TIRE AND FOUND RIGHT REAR AXEL WENT OUT, AFFECTED CALIPERS AND BRAKES ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WAS LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OUT OF POWERTRAIN, CALLED THEY WONT REIMBURSE SINCE IT WAS NOT REPAIRED AT JEEP DEALER. THE CAR ABS/TRACKTION CONTROL LIGHTS WENT ON, HARDLY WENT FORWARD DUE TO BRAKES LOCKED UP AND SMELLED LIKE IT WAS BURNING, ACTUAL RIGHT REAR RIM TOO HOT TO TOUCH, WOULDN'T EVEN MOVE IN GEAR UNLESS GASSED IT. NEVER HAD A WARNING, REAR BRAKES HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED TWO MONTHS EARLIER.

OTHER TIMES, ENGINE STARTS AND TRANSMISSION CAN BE SHIFTED INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE, BUT GEARS DO NOT ENGAGE. NUMEROUS EVENTS, AS COMMON AS STALLING EVENTS, INVOLVING SUDDEN AND SOMETIMES VIOLENT SHOCKS TO THE DRIVETRAIN, WHICH HAPPEN AT ALL SPEEDS, USUALLY WHEN ACCELERATING. NOW, READILY FOUND INFORMATION SHOWS A LINK WITH TIPM AND FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILURES THAT ALLOW THE FUEL PUMP TO RUN AND DRAIN THE BATTERY AFTER TURNING OFF THE IGNITION. HOW MANY MORE REPORTS TO NHTSA WILL IT TAKE TO RESPONSIBLY ADDRESS THIS VERY SERIOUS POTENTIAL REAR COLLISION SAFETY ISSUE RELATED TO THE TIPM?

STALLS OUT WHEN DRIVING. TRANSMISSION JUMPS OUT OF GEAR. PRESS ON GAS DOESN'T MOVE. HAPPENS OUT OF NOW WHERE. VERY SCARY DRIVING THE VEHICLE. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY CAN'T "DUPLICATE" THE ISSUE. I HAVE DID MY OWN RESEARCH AND FOUND THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR OF WRANGLER. MANY HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT AND DEALER COULDN'T DUPLICATE. MY ISSUE HERE IS THAT WHEN YOU KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR CAR AND THE DEALER CAN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND SEND YOU ON YOUR WAY KNOWING THIS CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
