I was driving on a very busy road and the vehicle lost power. I consider that my life was in danger because of me the traffic piled up and other drivers were furious with me. No matter what I tried, the car simply would not stop. AAA came and was unable to make the car start. It was towed to a dealership. Prior to this I already had two service visits related to the Start Stop warning light coming on in my dashboard. The first time, the service department claimed that they could not figure out what caused it, but they replaced the auxiliary battery that powers the start stop feature. Basically one day later, the start stop warning light came on again. I had to take it back to the dealership and they kept the vehicle for two days and I don't think anything was done. After the vehicle was returned to me, within days the warning light came on and then would go off and come back on sporadically. On the date of the complete power loss, the warning light came on in my dashboard about one hour before the power loss. So far, Jeep has said that they won't even be able to look at my vehicle for a week and it will probably take at least two weeks because they are short-staffed. I think I have a lemon.

The vehicle suddenly has a check engine light appear on the dash with a display message “performance limited, service fuel system”. This issue effectively caused the vehicle to enter a “limp mode” while driving it and limited its speed while driving. This reduced the speed of the car while driving at highway speed. The dealer has stated the issue is a high pressure fuel pump issue and a control module issue.

Fire-Risk Recall – Unsafe to Operate – No Remedy Provided “My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has an active fire-risk safety recall that makes the vehicle unsafe to drive or park near my home. Jeep and Stellantis have not provided a remedy or a loaner vehicle, and the dealership told me it is still ‘drivable’ despite the fire hazard. I have a young child, and this puts our safety at risk. I am requesting immediate investigation and assistance because the manufacturer has not offered a safe solution.”

I am reporting concerns regarding the handling of NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (Stellantis 68C) on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. When I contacted the dealership (Jeep Only – 5255 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas) to address the recall, the service department refused to schedule a recall-related inspection, refused to open a required STAR case with Stellantis, and told me “nothing can be done,” despite the recall involving a high-voltage battery fire risk. I was also given misleading information about the vehicle’s safety and have been unable to obtain a copy of my signed lease agreement despite multiple requests. Their refusal to follow proper recall procedures leaves me without guidance on a fire-risk safety defect, and I am currently pregnant, making this situation especially concerning. I am requesting NHTSA review of the dealership’s handling of this safety recall and lack of assistance to consumers.

The Uconnect Emergency Vehicle Alert System (EVAS) nearly always causes the infotainment system's audio to cease unless the car or phone are turned off and back on. This glitch prevents other alerts and GPS from having any audio capabilities, increasing my exposure to risk and dangers (unless, of course, I only look at the infotainment screen instead of the road while driving). I have called Jeep customer care (per instructions found online) to disable this feature so that it does not create these unsafe situations. The settings I have access to do not include a way to manage the EVAS alerts, this must be done my the manufacturer (even the dealership, Lee Auto Jeep in Auburn, Maine, confirmed they do not have access/tools to do this from the manufacturer). The employee for Jeep on the phone denied knowing about this and said they confirmed there is no way to address the glitches/change settings. To force a communication alert feature, without the ability to edit settings to meet driver safety needs, and to deny any capability to address it, shows how the manufacturer is liable for any and all wrecks associated with how the EVAS disables audio and sometimes freezes the screen with the EVAS warning blocking everything--including the GPS map if someone is relying on that assistance to get to safety. I am calling on the manufacturer, through our Federal government, to rectify this risk. My dated request should not sit unaddressed until you have enough dead bodies/public pressure to act. My records (evidence of seeking a remedy through the proper channels) WILL dictate the narrative when this goes public. It is already a growing concern on online forums for not just the Jeep brand. Our map services (Google, Waze, Apple) already provide emergency alerts and give settings to empower the DRIVER BEHIND THE WHEEL to have these support, not distract and impede.

My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ) is included in NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (FCA 68C) for a high-voltage battery defect that can cause a fire while parked. Jeep instructed owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park outside, away from structures, because the defect may lead to thermal events even when the vehicle is off. As of today, the manufacturer states the remedy is “not yet available.” This means the vehicle cannot be charged, stored in a garage, or used normally. I am a lessee still making payments on a vehicle that cannot be safely used. The lack of a remedy puts property and personal safety at risk. I am requesting NHTSA oversight to ensure FCA/Stellantis provides immediate relief such as a loaner vehicle or repurchase for owners and lessees affected by this recall. The vehicle has an active fire-risk recall (68C / 25V-741). Manufacturer has instructed not to charge the vehicle and to park away from structures. The dealership refuses to provide a diagnostic report or loss-of-use support. The vehicle is not safe to operate or store. I am seeking manufacturer action and accommodation.

I was driving the Jeep on Route 35 in NJ when all of a sudden, the car lost power, jerked forward thrusting be towards the windshield. The "D" on the gear shift started blinking and the check engine light went on. The dashboard message indicated something along the lines that I had to put the car in parking "P". The car behind me beeped and almost rear ended me as it's a fast road and my car slowed dramatically and unexpectedly. Ultimately, I was able to glide into a parking lot on the side street and called the tow truck. The dealership said that a faulty OTA was sent out which caused the issue and that it has happened to many people. There were no symptoms or warning lights prior to the event. The dealership updated the vehicle and said it was safe to drive but I am not convinced based on the experience of others, which I have read in forums, who have had the same thing happen multiple times even after having the dealership update installed. Apparently, this OTA issue was widespread.

Oct 10, 2025, I received an OTA update on my Jeep Wrangler. After the installation, I left my child's school on the way to dinner. Maybe a half mile into the drive, I received numerous warnings on the display screen and quickly after that, the vehicle lost all power. Hybrid system unavailable as well as the gas motor. Power steering, brakes and stability control also gone. Was able to get to the side of the road but it nearly stranded me on an elevated 2 lane road over a dam near Cherry Creek Reservoir in Greenwood Village, CO. Was able to reset the system after some troubleshooting and limp the vehicle home. Made an appointment and took it in for service the following Tuesday. The dealer has tried to remedy the situation but ran into the same loss of power after another update. I do not trust this vehicle with the safety of my family in mind. Jeep/Stellantis has yet to notify it's customers of this potential safety hazard nor have they communicated/acknowledged it publicly to raise awareness. It could save lives and something needs to be done. There are hundreds if not thousands of impacted owners and some might not even know yet. Unacceptable for Jeep, Stellantis and quite frankly... the NHTSA.... for not taking the appropriate steps to prevent potential accidents. Your entire mission is safety and not a peep from any party.

On 10/10/25, my 2025 Jeep received an over-the-air (OTA) software update intended for the Uconnect infotainment system. Following the update, the vehicle experienced a complete powertrain failure. It became undrivable, shut off entirely, and refused to shift out of park. This occurred without warning and posed a serious safety risk, especially had it happened while driving. The issue appears to be related to the hybrid control module, which was affected by the software update. The vehicle displayed multiple warning lights and fault codes (including Service Hybrid Drive System). I had to contact roadside assistance and have the vehicle towed to a dealership. Jeep has since acknowledged the issue and pulled the update, but I am concerned about the potential for permanent damage to the powertrain and the safety implications of such a failure. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to ensure proper accountability and prevent similar incidents for other owners.

After jeep released an OTA update on Friday, I started my vehicle on Saturday and started to drive and in about 2-3 minutes all lights on dash started flashing and lost all power to vehicle and was luck enough to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle message said place car in park. Had to turn vehicle off then could shift into park. Then restarted now CEL is on but vehicle started and again 2 min later same problem no power had to coast to side of road, shut vehicle down and restart. This happen a several times one time I also lost power steering. I was just lucky enough to be on side roads and not the highway. The vehicle totally loses all propulsion and you have zero power to the vehicle and also lost power steering

Jeep pushed a software update out to our Jeep resulting in repeated loss of power and systems without warning. Multiple events occurred while exiting and returning to our neighborhood. Researching issue over the weekend - many owners of the same year and model experienced this same issue after this software update pushed on Friday. Issue occurred during first drive on10/11/2025 Vehicle trigger check engine light - loss engine, brake and steering power - displayed shift into park to restart - then would last a few minutes are lose power and require park and restart. lucky our family was on minimal traffic city streets or this event could have been dangerous as we were a few hundred feet from being a freeway journey.

After receiving a notification about a "uconnect update" on my infotainment and next start of my vehicle I experienced 3 loss of acceleration events within relatively short time intervals. When the event occurs, the dash flashes "P" and states the vehicle needs to be shifted into park, and restarted. First incident, I felt a hard thud when I shifted to drive. Upon the second incident (roughly 200 feet/10 seconds from the first incident), the check engine light came on, and the same message appeared. Forcing me to shift to park, and then restart the vehicle. The issue occurred for the 3rd time roughly 400 feet from where the second incident occurred. I have a tow scheduled to bring it to the dealership tomorrow.

Had an issue with a service charging system, and service hybrid system on my 2025 jeep wrangler 4xe that I’ve had for 7 mos. Under 10k miles. When checked, I was told it was a connector for the ac compressor, had a bent pin. On back order. 2 weeks + later, called to bring it in. The repair was a 16 hr repair, which I wasn’t notified of, service agent said tech completed it in 9 as I waited a total of 12 hours at the dealership. Was not told the eac and hv cable needed to be replaced. A few days later, check engine light came on. Phoned dealer, told to bring it in. Did so and service agent mentioned code about evap. Then, told me it required an update. Drove for 2 hours, check engine light came back on. Took jeep back and got a loaner. Told it was a purge valve solenoid that had to be ordered. Issue with the evap that they didn’t address the first time. The dealer phoned days later to say it was fixed, and when I arrived, I didn’t even make it out of the service lane before the check engine light came on again.

There was an over the air updated to something in the vehicle and now hybrid battery range is much lower. Also, have seen multiple complaints that the vehicle will not turn on or stalls while driving creating dangerous conditions on the road while driving. I have not attempted to drive on the road after seeing other complaints concerning this update. Vehicle was perfectly fine before update. This is completely unacceptable, essentially using drivers as test dummys for untested and unproven software updates.

Vehicle shut down without warning while driving 6 times within an hour time period trying to get to nearest repair facility. No throttle response and loss of power steering upon occurrence. After pulling over and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle functioned normally for 5 to 10 more minutes but a check engine light stayed illuminated. Vehicle was operating on battery power, not gas engine, each time. Dealership has possession of the vehicle currently.

My vehicle did a software update Friday, October 10 10th after the update the vehicle went into a limp mode. I had to put the vehicle in park. Turn the vehicle off. Turn the vehicle back on immediately a check engine light came on. After the incident, the vehicle would only operate for about 10 minutes and I would have to repeat the same steps in order to get me safely home. Basically left me stranded with no power steering no warning that the vehicle even turned off just simply stopped in traffic in some cases and I was losing control.
