I am reporting a safety-related concern involving the right front axle on my 2024 Honda Prologue. When making right-hand turns at low speeds, the vehicle produces a loud clicking noise coming from the right front axle/CV joint area. The noise is repeatable and occurs consistently during turning maneuvers. I reported this issue to my authorized Honda dealership. On 05/21/2026, I dropped the vehicle off for inspection and repair. During the service visit, the technician acknowledged the concern and its happening with other Honda Prologue vehicles. No definitive safety repair or corrective action was provided at that time. I am reporting this concern because it involves a potential drivetrain/axle issue that may impact vehicle reliability and safe operation during turning conditions.

I have had two safety issues with this vehicle where there were system failures that did not record DTC codes. And an additional failure that does not record codes and cannot be duplicated. After leasing the vehicle for seventeen months, and during repair for an unrelated non-safety issue, it was discovered that the steering wheel airbag had a loose connection. No warning appeared at any time on the instrument panels. As well the one pedal function would switch into regular drive mode, as in a gas powered vehicle, randomly. After multiple tries and incidents the dealer service department has been unable to duplicate. Then on March 6 of this year I bought in the vehicle yet again for this one pedal failure, and was notified there was an existing recall. This software update was performed. On March 17, just 11 days after the update, while backing into my garage with the garage door going up the windshield wiper was clipped by the door, destroying both the wiper and shattering the back window. I have backed into my garage thousands of times and never had an issue. Why this happened on this date I do not know. What I do know is that the vehicle gave no warnings and did not break for the object. At the time my dogs were clipped into their seat belt harnesses in the center well. By a miracle no glass shattered beyond the back storage area and I was able to safely remove them. I checked after and all of the collision warning systems were listed as active, including automatic braking for rear collisions. I had the dealership run scans twice and all scans showed no DTC codes and all systems active. I can only assume that all prior updates have failed, and there is a substantial defect to the vehicles ability to communicate. I have a copy of the scan performed. The second scan was run on April 9 because the dealership failed to provide a printed copy of the first. I have that second scan. My vehicle fails to communicate or activate essential information, a safety hazard.

The issue I'm experiencing with my 24 Prologue is the infotainment screen (which controls a lot of the vehicle) sometimes having issues showing the backup camera, or issues with the car not allowing me to utilize ACC (says temporarily unavailable), etc. I feel less safe in the vehicle as a result. The issue is an OPEN recall and the dealership I've contacted 5x [XXX] ) has refused to do the update to the vehicle for various reasons, the most recent being: Honda has not delivered the update needed to the dealership for them to do the work. Vehicle: 2024 Honda Prologue Touring AWD The vehicle has an ongoing clicking/noise issue coming from the driver-side front CV joint/axle area, especially during turns, acceleration, and low-speed maneuvering. The clicking noise appears to be progressively worsening and raises concerns about premature CV joint failure and potential drivetrain safety issues. The issue has persisted despite service visits and replacement attempts. Additionally, the vehicle intermittently displays a “Charge Port Door Open” warning message even when the charge port door is fully closed and secured. This false warning can prevent charging functions from operating normally and creates concerns about electrical system reliability and sensor malfunction. Both issues occur intermittently but repeatedly, affecting confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. The ongoing driver-side CV joint clicking noise has caused concerns about potential drivetrain failure while operating the vehicle. Due to the worsening nature of the issue and repeated occurrence, I no longer feel fully safe or confident driving the vehicle, especially during turns and normal road operation. The false charge port warning may also interfere with the vehicle’s charging capability and normal operation.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact received notice of Manufacturer Recall Number : 26056 6mh00. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, infotainment screen and instrument panel went black and did not work as intended. The vehicle was turned off for approximately five minutes and then turned on the infotainment screen and instrument panel began working. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that a software update was needed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred the next day. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was a 12,100.

Forward collision assist keeps turning off, saying the front camera needs to be cleaned. Loud cracking/clicking/popping noises from front suspension making low speed turns (left and right). Sounds like the wheels want to fall off. I got this Prologue with 4 miles on it, started making those noises at less than 3K. It sounds so bad! Honda seems to be waiting until someone is seriously injured to fix this issue.

The lane keep assist has never worked. It doesn't not keep you in the lane, it just chimes when you drift out of it. The bigger issue is the axles. I only owned the car for 1 month when the axles started loudly clicking with every turn. Honda is claiming this is just a cosmetic defect and it does not affect safety, but I don't believe that for a second. Clicking axles are NOT normal, and could only indicate signs of deterioration. Not only that, but myself and anyone else with this issue can feel that the drivability is affected. Turns and propulsion are slower as time goes on and the clicking gets louder. Honda knowingly continues to sell these cars for up to $60,000 and no longer offers a remedy for the faulty axles. They now plan to discontinue the vehicle and offer no further support for it, which is completely unnaceptable. This safety defect must be remedied as soon as possible. We should not wait until someone is dead.

The microphone for hands-free calling in the vehicle is not installed properly. It is well known that at the factory where they made these Prologues, they accidentally left the plastic on the microphone, and also did not click it into its place. The microphone is currently floating somewhere in my ceiling, sealed in a plastic wrapper. Whenever I try to use hands-free calling, nobody can ever hear me, so I have to take my hands off the wheel and eyes off the road, pick up my phone, switch it to speaker, and then I will be able to talk to people. This is a major safety concern caused by human error at the factory. It defeats the purpose of hands-free calling, increases the risk of a crash, and forces people to break the hands-free law in most states. Because it is not easy to remove panels and access the microphone floating in the ceiling, this should be recalled.

Cv axles on the car has been clicking when turning and driving forward and back, they have been replaced once on once side. I’ve taken the car to the dealer ship 4 times Monday may 4 2026 was the last time I took it. Shortly after purchase, I observed damaged/torn underhood insulation and reported the condition to the selling dealership, with concern that the vehicle should be inspected for related issues. Prior to a crash incident, I experienced concerns involving braking-related behavior and advanced driver assistance features, including lane assist and object/collision warning functions. During the crash, while reacting to a roadway hazard, the vehicle swerved and struck a pole, and I did not experience warning or intervention from driver assistance features as expected. Following the incident, a diagnostic pre-scan identified multiple faults involving brake control, radar sensors, image processing, and communication systems. Since the incident, similar concerns have continued, including recurring braking/driver assistance concerns, and the issues remain unresolved. I am submitting this complaint due to concern that braking and advanced driver assistance systems may not have functioned as intended and may present an ongoing safety risk.

I hear a sharp clicking noise when I make turns, indicating an issue with the CV joint. The car had this issue when I leased it brand new.
