The screens (odometer and center entertainment console) both went blank while driving on the highway today. I had brought the vehicle in for the previous recall to have the update installed to prevent this problem.

The infotainment screen during driving goes black and resets. While not necessary to perform vehicle function, I am concerned it is tied to other parts of the car that could cause a safety incident.

My infotainment screen randomly blacks out about once every two days, and my HuD fails to appear sometimes and then will be back the next day. This never happened before the recall with the software update, only since the recall was done

Vehicle: 2024 Honda Prologue Touring AWD The vehicle has an ongoing clicking/noise issue coming from the driver-side front CV joint/axle area, especially during turns, acceleration, and low-speed maneuvering. The clicking noise appears to be progressively worsening and raises concerns about premature CV joint failure and potential drivetrain safety issues. The issue has persisted despite service visits and replacement attempts. Additionally, the vehicle intermittently displays a “Charge Port Door Open” warning message even when the charge port door is fully closed and secured. This false warning can prevent charging functions from operating normally and creates concerns about electrical system reliability and sensor malfunction. Both issues occur intermittently but repeatedly, affecting confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. The ongoing driver-side CV joint clicking noise has caused concerns about potential drivetrain failure while operating the vehicle. Due to the worsening nature of the issue and repeated occurrence, I no longer feel fully safe or confident driving the vehicle, especially during turns and normal road operation. The false charge port warning may also interfere with the vehicle’s charging capability and normal operation.

Shortly after purchase, I observed damaged/torn underhood insulation and reported the condition to the selling dealership, with concern that the vehicle should be inspected for related issues. Prior to a crash incident, I experienced concerns involving braking-related behavior and advanced driver assistance features, including lane assist and object/collision warning functions. During the crash, while reacting to a roadway hazard, the vehicle swerved and struck a pole, and I did not experience warning or intervention from driver assistance features as expected. Following the incident, a diagnostic pre-scan identified multiple faults involving brake control, radar sensors, image processing, and communication systems. Since the incident, similar concerns have continued, including recurring braking/driver assistance concerns, and the issues remain unresolved. I am submitting this complaint due to concern that braking and advanced driver assistance systems may not have functioned as intended and may present an ongoing safety risk.

RE: Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN [XXX] Feb 26,2026 Manufacturer Recall NumberXNK NHTSA Recall Number26V-112 My name is [XXX] , I lease a 2024 Honda Prologue. I received a recall and took my car to Crown Honda in St Petersburg, Fl to have it done. I’ve been there 4 times to have it done and it failed 3 of the 4 times. The 4th time, they only did a partial update and told me it was complete and are telling me if I want more it’s going to cost me. I discovered they did not perform the Recall update. The paperwork they gave me shows it has to be a USB update. I know from my experience and my background of decades in the computer technology business, that they have minimal experience in that field. I called Honda corporate and they told me it was my problem and to go to another dealer. I’m hoping you may be able to help me out and contact them to get my updates performed. My recall shows it is a serious matter. As of this date and your records confirm, the recall is still incomplete. The onboard navigation and entertainment system, including both the primary dashboard/driver interface and the center console, went fully black for over 1 minute while driving on the highway. When the screen is blank, no input is available from the vehicle as to speeds, behavior of cruise control, warning systems such as lane control, front rear and side awareness, operator awareness of speed, other vehicle warnings. Bringing to dealer today. this is the 2nd time this has occurred. The first time was in December. Vehicle was brought to dealer for software update. Update “bricked” the car, and a new radio module needed to be ordered. This took about 6 weeks. Module installed, software was updated, and this was to have addressed the issue. While records may indicate that the update was not yet performed on the vehicle, it was fully updated and the vehicle (according to the dealer) is fully up to date and the recall for it has been addressed with the software update. However, the update did not address the issue. No other inspections have occurred to date. No other symptoms or warning lights.

High voltage system error has flagged and been fixed multiple times starting in early January of 2026. Car randomly warns and breaks in the middle of the road because it sensed something that wasn’t there. Luckily no wrecks have occurred. Both CV joints have a loud clicking noise that the Honda dealerships knows about but has no fix for. I currently have an appointment for the dealership to look at my brake and high voltage system again.

The vehicle experienced multiple serious issues affecting safety and reliability. The 12V battery failed, leaving the vehicle unable to start. In addition, there is a persistent abnormal ratcheting or grinding noise when turning, indicating a possible drivetrain or steering-related defect. An interior component near the rearview mirror also detached while driving, creating a distraction and safety concern. The vehicle was taken to the dealership for repair on February 21, 2026 and has remained out of service for over 30 days with no confirmed repair completion date. There have been communication issues with the dealership, including lack of documentation and inconsistent updates regarding the status of the vehicle. Due to the extended downtime, unresolved defects, and safety concerns, the vehicle is unreliable and unusable for its intended purpose.

Broken/Clicking CV joints. This could lead to all loss of power transfer to the wheels, causing a sudden and unexpected stop to the vehicle while driving. Honda is aware of this defect, but has no permanent fix. This is confirmed by multiple Honda Service Centers. High Voltage Warning. Loss of heat, car will not charge, car shuts down/becomes undrivable, or enters "limp mode." This is an extreme safety issue. The car loses the ability to properly cool the main battery. This could result in thermal runaway (a rapid, uncontrollable, and self-sustaining increase in battery cell temperature), resulting in a fire that is difficult to extinguish, burns extremely hot, may reignite hours or days after the initial incident, and/or result in explosion. This is confirmed by multiple Honda Dealerships. The warning has occurred multiple times, even after multiple repair attempts.

This vehicle is experiencing constant malfunctions with the infotainment system. It constantly flickers, freezes, and blacks out completely during normal driving conditions. This is prohibiting use of features controlled by the unit including charge settings and rear camera use. This has been a constant issue with this car and has been checked by Honda Henderson multiple times and all attempts have failed to resolve.

High voltage warning light, service vehicle soon light, reduced speed limit, would not charge past 25%, forward looking camera issues warning light would show up randomly Called the local Honda dealer(01/26/26), talked with service manager, He told me to bring the vehicle in immediately. The Honda dealer refused to fix it under warranty since it was in an accident.(Right fender and driver door needed repaired.) The dealer wanted $300 dollars to perform a diagnostic test on vehicle. Dealer found that the HVAC system had failed which also includes the 12 volt charging system to also fail. Dealer wanted an additional $800 for further diagnostic testing. Informed me that the full warranty was void do to it being in a previous accident and I will be responsible for all repairs for this vehicle. Contacted Honda headquarters and filed a complaint thru them. The car was towed to another dealer where they are working on it currently. No new updates as of 02/02/26

At random times, usually when the battery is below 40% I will get warnings that say "reduced acceleration drive with car". I've own the car for a year (brand new) and this has happened at least half a dozen times or more.

When driving, frequent knocking sounds can be heard coming from the engine when at a stop to turn, and accelerate. The electrical system was faulty with the engine electrical system indicating problems- the heater shut off, so we had no heat during a 90-minute road trip. Tire pressure monitor indicates low tirepressure and seems unresponsive. I brought it in for service. The electrical system was fixed, but the tire pressure remained low, was noit addressed and return to me with all tires at 32psi. Maintenance person commented, " Sir, all I do is return the vehicle to you"... Please advise. Thank you 4900

Vehicle is unable to charge. Dealer inspection confirmed damage to the charging coupler/receptacle. Charging port shows burn marks and electrical damage. Dealer recommended replacement of the drive motor battery charger receptacle. Vehicle has no diagnostic trouble codes. No accidents, no misuse, no aftermarket equipment. Failure occurred during normal home charging. Honda dealer and Honda USA denied warranty coverage. This defect prevents vehicle operation and presents potential electrical and fire safety risk.

The digital instrument cluster (dashboard screen) and the infotainment screen went black while I was driving. This meant I was unable to see my MHP or any critical information on my car. I was listening to music and first it stopped, then a moment later both screens went black. This lasted for 30 seconds until one came on followed by the other.

Three major problems stand out: faulty CV joints/axles that produce loud clicking or knocking noises when turning, false activations of the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, which I had to turn off, and high-voltage system failures that can disable charging or limit performance. Other concerning issues include steering malfunctions, infotainment system blackouts, USB-C not connecting, battery not charging to 300mi range, forward collision sensor false activation, and braking anomalies.
