Melted High Volt Junction Box after DC Fast Charging. Car became compromised while 3 hours from home. Limiting speed and ability to recharge. This vehicle had the High Voltage Junction Box melt back in the summer of 2022. The original was replaced under Warranty. The replacement part they installed is also faulty. I do not DC Fast charge very often. Maybe 12 times in the lifespan of this car. The original recall for this issue was a Software upgrade in the summer of 2022. There appears to have been a recall for hardware in fall of 2023 but for some reason this car was not part of that recall. The part that Ford installed in July of 2022 has since been redesigned several times, but I was left with the old version and that Melted down. Please recall the faulty HVJB part installed in these cars that were impacted when the originals melted. This costs $3,000 to have them repair and is not covered by warranty any longer.

There is a repeated front camera fault that prevents the "Pre-Collision Assist" from working, which could lead to a car accident and possible injury/fatality. It has been to the dealership many times over more than 2 years, and the issue still has not been resolved. The Ford dealer had been able to confirm and reproduce the issue. There is no consistency for when the alert appears on the car that the "Pre-Collision Assist" is not working, but it happens often.

The car was parked and will not move. The car turns on, an alert displays that to stop the car and pull over and the car is in park and will not allow you to move the dial out of park. Had to have the car towed to dealership. The 12v battery was replaced, this did not help, the car still will not allow you to put it in drive.

While driving, the service parking brake system alert displayed. The parking brake when I entered a parking lot no longer functioned and displayed an error on the dash. The vehicle had to be repaired before the parking brake became functional again.

Ever since we bought the car in mid-2023, we have been getting "Front camera fault" and "Pre-Collision Assist not available" error messages, at first intermittent and now constant. The errors pop up every time we turn on the car, and sometimes while driving as well, which is distracting and annoying. In addition, the cruise control doesn't work at all, and these front camera and pre-collision assist functions (which are safety features of the car) do not work. We brought the vehicle to two dealers for this same problem well within the warranty period and neither was able to fix it. We have tried to get these errors fixed on multiple occasions with no luck so far. Hansel Ford of Petaluma has our car and is now telling us it will cost $2806.21 to replace the IPMA module to fix the problem, and that it is not covered under warranty. Ford has a TSB addressing the issue: TSB 23-2155. I have spoken with Ford Customer Care on multiple occasions asking for assistance and they have failed to provide any help. This issue is widely reported on Mach-E forums as a known and frequent safety issue.

The electrical system failed. Issue was it disengaged the 12 volt system as well. Vehicle seized and stopped in the middle of a high usage road with no ability to put into neutral. After speaking with Ford, they concede that there must be 12 volt battery power in order to put car in neutral. After 2 hours of blocking traffic The tow truck arrived ( was a rainy day) and within a minute hooked up a 12 volt battery and drove the vehicle off the road way. This is not acceptable and needs to be addressed. My claim number with Ford is: case [XXX]. Thank you. Feel free to contact me in any further information is needed. My vehicle is not a part of the Recall #23S56, however, my High Voltage Battery Junction Box has gone back and in need of replacement. The warranty light appeared on 2/2/25 after acceleration. I was able to make an appointment with my local Ford Dealership for today 2/4/25 and was informed of the issue.

My cameras will not work and the screen will be black. Anytime I reverse or come too close to an object the cameras will show, but since there is a problem with the camera wire the image is just a black screen. This is a serious safety issue that Ford has yet to address and I have notified them about it, with an image and video of the problem.

The forward collision detection system failed first. Then the car suddenly would not move and gave a pull over immediately warning on the dash and also flashed a battery light. It was 15 degrees outside and my wife and son were stuck in the cold. Not a safe environment. This is inexcusable for a car to be driving fine on minute and to be completely inoperative the next.

Front camera fault. Pre collision systems don’t work without it. Large online community with the same issues but ford refuses to acknowledge it’s an issue. They won’t help even if errors start happening before warranty is over. And once warranty is over they charge large amounts to fix. There is a TSB out for the issue and it seems like a pinched coaxial cable. Our safety is at stake and the number of occurrences can’t not be random.

The car had an issue with the 12V battery which caused it to be completely disabled and unresponsive to the key fob and phone as a key. My wife had gotten out of the car without knowing this had happened and went to the rear door to let out our infant son, but the door would not open. We called emergency services and roadside assistance. AAA arrived first and tried to open the lock but were unsuccessful. I had to smash the window to open the door and rescue my son. Emergency services arrived after I had already done this. The only reason I know it was an issue with the 12V battery is because the Ford dealership told me after I had the car towed there for inspection. The only way to open the car in this situation is to use a portable jumper to jump two wires hidden in the bumper which open the Frunk. Then you need to jump the actual battery that is located in the frunk. It does not have a mechanical release for the doors. This supposed fix is highly dangerous as it requires one to have a readily available jumper and the 12V battery needs to be completely drained in this scenario. In my case, this didn’t work even when the Ford technician arrived. The only possible way to get in was to break through a laminated glass window which was incredibly difficult to break even with the correct tool to do it.

It has several error messages including "Stop safely now". This seems to be the same issue as recall 23S56 (TSB 22-2178). The vehicle is not drivable as it will not start or go into gear. Seems to be known issue with the HVBJB.

I frequently get front camera fault warnings from my car and then it disables the adaptive cruise control and the collision warning and assistance features. I have attempted to fix this and the Ford dealer held my car for about 14 days (also damaging it twice). They attempted to replace the module but could not get the new one to work and then opted to put the old module back in and apply a software update. There is a TSB for this issue to replace the coaxial cable that goes between the camera and the IPMA module. For some reason the dealer did not opt to replace this cable after attempting to replace the module. There are a large number of reports of this problem on Mach-E forums and Reddit and clearly a recall is necessary because dealers are not adhering to the TSB (perhaps to wait out warranties). They're also not providing loaner or rental cars as required as a way to discourage consumers from having their vehicles repaired (while keeping vehicles for a long period of time). A recall would resolve the fact that that this is a serious safety and quality issue and protect consumers who are out of warranty. The fact that I'm continuing to get these errors after two weeks of service is disturbing. I'm including a copy of the TSB and the detailed error message from the FordPass app.

The rear camera has malfunctioned. When the vehicle is put into reverse the area usually covered by the rear cameras is blue with white tire tracks indicating the direction the vehicle will travel. Obstructions such as people or other vehicles are covered in blue and not visible on the screen. The dealer has confirmed the problem and ordered replacements in May. In the meantime I am hesitant to drive this vehicle since there have been a couple of near misses in crowded parking lots. This vehicle is available for inspection. I have not received any communication from the dealer. With safety at risk something needs to be done

The backup camera has failed numerous times. The camera will work and then suddenly stop creating a safety risk of hitting a pedestrian walking behind the vehicle when relying on the camera. The dealer has attempted to fix the problem by installing a new camera, new wiring harness, and a new module. The new module installed, under warranty, in February 2024 now requires a software update that only the dealer can perform at a cost of $1200. The vehicle warranty expired in July and Ford is not covering the cost of the update despite the module being new and requiring the update to work properly. It seems that if a part on a vehicle requires a software update to function properly that the part was defective and should be recalled. The dealer has inspected and advises to update the software on the module to regain proper function of the backup camera.

The vehicle suddenly had a front windshield camera error light up on my dashboard from just driving regularly on the road. I currently have a crack windshield which I am having difficulty to replace because the front camera sensor error codes wouldn't allow the windshield camera to be recalibrated. My vehicle is currently experiencing this exact service bulletin but since is is not a recall, my dealership charged me to diagnosis this issue for $300 and claimed to fix this issue but is currently not solved. Occasionally the front camera being faulty lights up and disappears, however I am still unable to replace my windshield due to this error.
