We were on the interstate and our truck had reduced power and then failed. The diesel particulate filter light came on as well as the service engine soon warning. We were hauling our 40 foot 5th on the way home from a trip. We were able to make it to the side of the road but it would not start. It would crank for a while then quit. We were stuck on a very busy/dangerous highway for over 2 hours waiting on a tow truck to get us. It cost $500 to be towed to the ford dealership 2 miles away. We were nearly 3 hours from home. Our truck and 5th wheel are both still at the dealership. We were told today that the fuel pump exploded leading to shards of metal throughout the system and that it would be $15000-18000 to repair. There isn’t a solution with the recall but it will be covered under our powertrain warranty. We are left without a truck and have no way to get our camper home until it’s repaired.

Engine loss of power - engine failure. My vehicle was serviced regularly with Ford dealership. Just weeks after an oil change at dealership I had sudden catastrophic engine failure. They found metal in my oil and stated my engine had failed due to faulty pump. I contacted ford dealership and customer service center, and they refused to repair as I was about 125864 miles (25k over warranty) on a truck they told me would last 400k with proper Maintenace. I have been making my monthly payments on this large paperweight and now there is a recall, and I still cannot get ford to repair the vehicle

Death Wobble Severe steering problems occur with this vehicle. Especially when hitting even a slight bump in the road. When pulling a trailer across a bridge, it became so severe that the truck and trailer changed lanes and I had NO control. This problem occurs regularly and is a very dangerous situation!

The truck has developed a significant knock coming from the intake manifold. It is loud enough to hear with the hood closed. The problem exists warm and cold. The knock was verified by Sunrise Ford in Fontana, CA in December of 2024. The Dealership had another F250 on the lot with the same 6.2 engine and that it also has a knock coming from the intake manifold, so they considered the situation "normal". There is a significant amount of information available that the knock is related to an impending failure of the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC). If the IRMC fails, the parts will go into the combustion area and could cause an immediate catastrophic failure of the engine. At best this problem creates a loss of power and a pulsing vibration at idle.

1st incident, weather conditions were rainy. Drove to store, shut off truck, started truck, service engine soon light came on #1-Ford pass message-powertrain control module lost communication or has detected incompatible software from the glow plug. service engine soon light #2-Powertrain control module lost communication with the glow plug, additional alerts along with a hard start or no start condition may accompany this fault. Service engine soon light #3-A communication fault over vehicle network has occurred between several modules. Service engine soon #4-The powertrain control module lost communication with the exhaust particulate matter sensor. Service engine soon #5-The transmission control module is sending invalid information over the internal vehicle communication network to one or more modules. Message #6-Pre-collision assist not available. I thought if I shut the truck off it would reset. When I tried to restart the truck it did nothing. Had it towed to Archie Cochrane Ford in Billings, MT. They replaced the DEF wiring harness. 2nd incident on [XXX], drove through rain on way to Provo, UT. Service engine soon light came on with all the same messages + five other messages. Had it towed to Larry H Miller Ford in Provo, UT. They replaced the Battery Junction Box. Drove to Yuma, AZ without incident but had them look it over and they could not reproduce the issue. Drove to Dickinson, TX, encountered fog on 1/3/2025. Incident #3, drove to the gas station on [XXX], started the truck up and the same messages came up. Roads were dry, although it had rained the night before. Drove straight to McRee Ford where the technician observed the issue firsthand. While the vehicle was in park it was constantly surging. We researched online for the same problem and have found others that have had this same type of issue. We have had to rent cars when the truck was in the shop. We believe this is an engineering issue and Ford should fix the issues without charging. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On or about [XXX], [XXX] I contacted Ford customer relations about the roof installed molding Rear mounting points had broken apart on my vehicle (both sides) and the molding is lifting up. Advised that if could become dislodged during operation. Received a Case # [XXX]. After several calls, I was told no action will be taken on their part because the vehicle over 3yrs old. I contacted the local Ford dealership (Lafayette Ford) and was told by one of the addon tech that it's a known issue and that Ford currently carries the newly designed replacement part. He spoke to manager in the service department . He then sttn that I would need to get a case number, I told him that I'd had one and provided it to him. More phone calls made and they will not change their position. On 11/1/2024 I was told that the case was closed almost immediately after it was opened. Ms Tara sttd that the supervisor was going to request that the case be reopened. 11/18/2024, I called back because of no response. Ms Jaclyn sttn, not covered, Ford not doing anything. I don't know how long or when they broke. The roof has never been used to carry anything. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I am the original owner of this 2021 F250, (by my notes, dates & miles may differ slightly by Ford/Dealer records) I first noticed Death-Wobble around [XXX] @ 3,040 miles & Ron Alpen Ford checked factory alignment & ordered an updated steering stabilizer. Updated steering stabilizer was on back order until around 8/8/23 @ 26,647 miles when it was installed on the F250. As you can see, over two thirds of this truck's three year bumper to bumper warranty was dissolved by back order. This is where I believe Ford Motor Company's engineering group got involved & recommended a custom alignment, I believe this was performed by Ron Alpen Ford around 4/8/24 @ 33,486 miles. As you can see, over half of this truck's remaining warranty was dissolved waiting on Ford Motor Company's assistance. Ford Motor Company fell silent after recommending I take the truck to a different Ford Dealer for a second opinion... I still do not believe a second opinion was the correct opinion of Ford... Ford should have supported Ron Alpen Ford further in this repair. I set up an appointment at Courtesy Ford, Courtesy had the truck for two full weeks straight... Ford claimed that the truck had conveniently made it outside of the warranty period... 12/3/24 @ 35,922 Courtesy replaced the drag link & the steering stabilizer a SECOND time as the continuing death-wobble had destroyed the first updated steering dampener at my expense because the truck was conveniently out of the 3 year warranty period... Courtesy also decided to return the truck to its original factory alignment even though they were asked not to. Death-wobble continued as of [XXX] @ 36,105 miles. I have contacted Ford Motor Company, Ron Alpen Ford & Courtesy Ford on 12/11/24 to inform them the truck still has Death-Wobble & as of 12/27/24 no reply from any one. I have called Courtesy Ford requesting my money back because they guaranteed the truck would be fixed & it clearly is not.
