Continually receiving "see manual" message while driving, will intermittently appear and disappear. At times, the plug-in battery will completely stop working while still charged (more frequent in colder weather). It always resets/removes the "see manual" warning upon next vehicle start. Engine shutters and pings when turning the car off and is rather intense and seems potentially damaging. When driving at low speeds and when changing speeds, engine will not shift correctly when accelerator is pressed, and then will suddenly engage and lurch forward. And when slowing down braking system is not consistent, often have to depress brake harder than normal. Hybrid battery will also stop working when "see manual" message is on. At times the check engine light will come on, code P0B24, checked by Ford Dealer (Norm Reeves, Cerritos, CA) on 12/21/23, 'Hybrid Battery A voltage unstable'. Known recall but they have no fix. Dealer says corporate office has to authorize any sort of loaner car or arrange for rental car, however website says "contact your local dealership directly" when I enter my info for the recall. Called Ford corporate on 1/15/24, their answer is "we have no fix for this" regarding both fixing the car and providing us with a working vehicle. They would not take down any of our contact information or give us any other outlet to contact.

While driving to work on I35 the a red message popped up on the dash saying "Stop Safely Now" and the engine/hybrid motor instantly completely died. Steering and breaking were almost impossible because I am not a strong person and I was nearly rear ended several times. I had no chance to get to the shoulder and was blocking the lane in the middle of traffic till I was able to get someone to tow it to a side street. Completely unacceptable and very dangerous for the car to die completely like this.

WHEN PLACING MY CAR IN TO PARK IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY GO IN TO PARK. IF YOU GET OUT AFTER IT DOES THIS THE CAR WILL ROLL. THIS IS TERRIFYING. IT STARTED TO ROLL OUT MY DRIVEWAY AFTER PUTTING IT IN PARK. I HAVE TO PUT MY EMERGENCY BRAKE ON SO IT DOESN'T ROLL. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE INCIDENT BUT I CAN NOT ATTACH IT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FORD FUSION. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SEIZED. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL RETURNED TO NORMAL. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES SEIZED WHILE IN TRAFFIC THIS WEEK, WHICH ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH AND THE CHECK MANUAL WARNING MESSAGE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FLAMMER FORD (3335 COMMERCIAL WAY, SPRING HILL, FL 34606, (352) 686-8255) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN AUTO STOP/START MODULE NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED, BUT AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 9, 2019. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WOULD NOT ALLOW THE DEALER TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE COULD NOT BE READ DURING THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,070.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2019 Ford Fusion Hev verdict →
