On [XXX], I purchased a new Toyota Sienna 2025 from Toyota Pasadena. The car has had frequent “check rear seat” and “check 3rd row seat” alerts everyday I drive. I have contacted Toyota Motors a few times since May, 2025, and visited Toyota Pasadena countless times to solve this error since April, 2025. After their “alarm specialist” checked my vehicle, they started to intentionally ignore my repair request. It seems Toyota knows the problem but couldn’t fix it in an easy and cheap way. Toyota Pasadena always insisted on me seeing their alarm specialist OFF THE RECORD, rather than accepting my vehicle for repair, so they can avoid Lemon Law punishment. When I contacted Toyota Motor a few times, they always pushed me back to Toyota Pasadena and ignored my request to have other dealers’ or the engineers fix my Sienna. I have been trapped in this endless fraud loop wasting time for a year. I have a [XXX] daughter. With this error not being fixed, I can’t risk putting my daughter and her seat on the rear seat. I was forced to buy another SUV, which created significant financial stress along with the stress of being pushed away between Toyota Motor and Toyota Pasadena over and over again. The bottomline is I need to make sure the rear seat is safe because my family’s lives are on the line. They shouldn’t intentionally hide the safety issue and forced me to accept the risk. It’s a new car in the original condition that Toyota Pasadena handed me. Everything on this vehicle was installed by Toyota Motor and Toyota Pasadena before it was handed to me. I already requested that if it's alarm bugs they cannot fix, they can remove the faulty alarm with a refund. I only want a safe vehicle. But they rejected me. The vehicle still makes random alarms and shows the “check rear seat” today and everyday. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2025 Toyota Sienna verdict →
