The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle rooftop was made of fiber glass that dropped on the vehicle occupants while driving. The contact stated that the fiber glass could cause health issues if inhaled. The contact stated that the dealer had replaced the rooftop once, and the freedom panels twice; however, the failure persisted as the replacement parts were made of the same materials. The contact stated that the dealer informed him that the top was made from trust and bonded fiber glass. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 40-60 MPH, the steering wheel was shuddering back and forth, causing the vehicle to vibrate and to sway. The contact also stated that while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle pulled to the left side. The contact turned the steering to the right in order to keep the vehicle in the lane. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the steering wheel was realigned twice; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 400.

We noticed on 6/24/2023 a small crack and few other minor cracks and a paint chip appeared out of nowhere on the fiber-glass/composite hard roof top at the driver side rear edge above the gas tank of my Jeep Wrangler 2023 that I bought from your dealership. My vehicle details are as follows: Make: Jeep Model Wrangler Sahara 4X4e Year: 2023 Color: White VIN #: [XXX] Purchase Date: 05-14-2023 Condition: Brand New I have consulted with AAA insurance and the “Classic Collision of Chatsworth” and Platinum Plus Warranty Plan and the insurance services and they all say that this particular crack and paint chip on the vehicle is not from any impact but mainly due to the manufacturing defect where the fiberglass is uneven (or air bubble in it) and defective, screws tightened too much and also clearly has tool marks and signs of excessive use of force that caused a big crack on the edge from inside and that is now propagating and spreading and showing paint chip and cracks on the outside of the removable rooftop/camper above the gas tank. This is the first time I opened the back trunk and saw this. Filed a manufacturer warranty claim at the dealership on 6/26/2023. Jeep denied the claim. I find this situation unacceptable as the fiberglass hard-top is cracking and falling apart and the crack is widening as we drive the vehicle. I need help as both the dealership and the manufacturer are not fixing the manufacturing defect and are using delaying tactics. systems that failed, my defroster only blows straight up about the width of the rear view mirror. causing my windshield to fog or ice and I not be able to see. dealer will not look at it until the 14th of dec. they are unwilling to provide a safe loaner in the meantime. no warning lamps my frame undercoating is already coming off making me very concerned about rust down the road the welds on my frame have porosity in a fair amount of welds. this worries me if I would ever be in a collision that the frame would not hold up. also, longterm I'm worried about the porous welds harboring salty water and rusting out the welds. causing the strength of the weld to be weakened. not to mention a porous weld in general is a weak weld
