What 92 owners told NHTSA about the 2019 Dodge Journey

The engine coil packs and spark plus were faulty. After we paid the dealership 700 to fix WHICH WAS NEVER FIXED then we fixed on our own paid a family friend to look at and fixed and then to another dealer to fix NEVER WERE fixed which cause faulty engine and engine collapsed. When told the dealer ship the problem they told us they couldn’t look at it until 2 weeks from that day and then we had to pay for it.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the ABS module was faulty and needed to be replaced; however, the parts needed were no longer available from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the ABS module was no longer available and no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 47,000.

The contact was informed that the brake sensor was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer two days later and the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,600.

Front cylinder head number two is misfiring. It is a known problem with this engine and older models have an extended warranty. My 2019 is not covered. It’s an expensive repair and seems like a problem.

THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP MORE THAN I HAVE DRIVEN IT SINCE PURCHASING IT ON JUNE 29TH.
