The back up camera on my F350 froze the image on the screen as I was backing up, and I didn’t realize that I had backed into my daughter’s car. I ripped my fender off and wedged my tires up underneath her CRV there was no warning and I didn’t realize there was a recall on it because I hadn’t gotten anything in the mail. I did it my own driveway so I didn’t call the police and I haven’t turned on insurance yet. I wanted to see what I needed to do

TRUCK IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AND RECENTLY SERVICED AT FORD DEALERSHIP. AFTER RECENT SERVICE THE TRUCK WOULDN'T START. WHEN THE TRUCK WAS CHECKED BOTH LARGE FACTORY INSTALLED BATTERIES HAD CATASTROPHIC FAILURE LEADING TO BATTERY ACID CORROSION DESTROYING WIRING, POTENTIAL THE THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND OTHER ELECTRONICS THAT WERE EXPOSED TO BATTERY ACID AND CORROSION. THERE IS TREMENDOUS DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK AND A LARGE CHEMICAL SPILL FROM THE ACID. DEALERSHIP QUOTED OVER $1800 IN DAMAGES. TRUCK WAS A FIRE AND CHEMICAL HAZARD BECAUSE THE FAILURE WAS HIDDEN BY A FACTORY COVER, A HUGE COPPER CABLE WAS FREE TO ARC AND COULD HAVE IGNITED THE BATTERY OR CAUSED A DANGEROUS ELECTICAL FIRE.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2015 Ford F-350 Super Crew verdict →
