I parked my car in the driveway, turned off the engine and exited the vehicle. Before I closed the driver's side door, the front right headrest went off like the vehicle was in an accident. The corresponding air bag did not deploy. I inspected the headrest noticing pieces of plastic had broken off and others were bent. I attempted to reset the headset following the recommended procedure. Because of the broken/bent pieces of plastic, the headrest cannot be reset.

my vehicle was going up hill when it started smoking. I pulled over and found a leak under the van which was transmission fluid. I had to pay $2200.00 to have the vehicle towed home to my local mechanic and now it is costing an additional 1800.00 to fix the torque converter and transmission fluid pump. It dropped in speed from 50 to 30 to nothing within seconds of going up the hill.

The vehicle randomly loses all power, which means no power steering and no brakes. It happens randomly and after searching online it appears others have the same issue faced back to the wireless ignition node being faulty. However the previous recall doesn't cover the vehicle I have which is experiencing the exact same symptoms. My wife has already had a close call as she is unable to steer the vehicle without power steering and the brakes don't work at all.

I had to take my car to the dealership about 2 years ago for my headrest popping out and the said there was a recall then. I want to know if there still is a recall because my passenger headrest has done the same thing. Also my blindspot warning is not working. Also my video system does not work.

I was driving down the highway and there was a loud bang and something hit me in the back of my head. It felt like something was thrown and me with significant force from behind. The headrest exploded for no apparent reason while we were traveling 65 miles per hr and threw me forward as I was driving. This could have caused serious harm to me personally or could have caused an accident and harm to other vehicles or my daughter that was riding in the passenger seat.

I do not have a SiriusXM subscription, they sent an unsolicited offer for a 3 month trial and activated Satellite system on radio, model 430N, in vehicle. This happened sometime after March 4, 2024. I did not listen to SiriusXM on vehicle until sometime mid April. I noticed changes in the way some safety related systems worked and finally realized they started with the trial activation. What changed: the is no audible warning sound, just silence when the following are turned on our activated; turn signals when blinking, blind spot is activated when changing lanes and a vehicle is in blind spot, rear cross traffic warning when traffic present, rear parking collision warning when obstacle is present. Vehicle had audible warning sounds for all of this until satellite radio trial was activated. Why is a radio company able to disable required safety systems on a vehicle?

Sliding door actuators failed on both sliding doors. driver side sliding door is stuck shut. There is a TSB for this for the same model year, but only for vehicles built after May 2015. Mine was built in January 2015. Worried about my kids getting stuck in the van in an emergency.

Passenger rear sliding door on my 2015 Chrysler Town and Country will not unlock with the remote. This happens all the time and has become a great concern as it causes not only frustration for me but has caused stress for my grand children thinking they are stuck in the vehicle! This also causes my wife to have to open the passenger front door and reach between the seat and the "B" post to reach the lock and unlock the door. Then at this time the door must be opened manually or push the remote button again to try and open it. This happens in hot or cold weather. This could cause the door to fail to unlock in an panic causing injury or loss of life during an emergency. As a first responder this would cause us to have to figure out ways to cut the door open or use the jaws of life to open the door after a crash where the driver is unable to inform us of the issue in unlocking the door. Safety issue for sure that needs to be repaired by Chrysler at their expense since they know of the issue.

Car shakes and stalls when coming to a stop. No lights on the dash. Took it to a dealer and found it is the sensors in the transmission. These should not break on a van that has under 100,000 miles.

My van began to leak oil at a high rate spontaneously one day. I found antifreeze had mixed into the piston chamber as well. Upon further investigation, it appears that the OFA as Chrysler calls it, or the Oil Filter Assembly, has a fatal design flaw being made of plastic and through heat and time these units are prone to cracking. Upon investigating forums, this assembly is used on other vehicles across the FCA brands and exhibits the same failure. It is also prone to cracking during the replacement process of the filter as high torque of unscrewing or screwing the filter can crack a portion of the OFA. There is an aluminum version of the OFA that is being recommended for replacement of the OEM OFA which to me signals a confirmation of the design defect, however, if the vehicle is outside the warranty, the OEM is refusing to cover any of the replacement cost.

The middle row seats headrest will not latch the headrest just drops down and it could fall off and hurt someone if we were to get into a crash. We can not use that seat with a headrest that is faulty.

On my way home the transmission pump failed in my van which then caused the entire transmission to fail. I was at a stop sign and when I went to go the car to not move forward, it would just rev as if I was in neutral and then when it first happened, it would suddenly kick in to gear. Now the dealership tells me it will not go into gear at all, it just rev's. After some research we saw that there is a recall for this exact issue that exists for our van's year and model; however our VIN was not included in the recall. As it stands right now we are having the transmission replaced but this is obviously related to the existing recall and believe it should be added to it as well. Chryslers number for the recall is S44. I've included the invoice from the dealership for the repair stating that the pump failed.

Several times over the past few weeks the van has just shut off while driving. This has happened at low speeds and at city driving speeds. The engine just completely shuts off and the van loses power brakes/steering/acceleration with no warning, no rough running, no sounds, and no check engine light. The mechanic cannot find anything wrong with it but the problem continues at random intervals. This is potentially very dangerous and even worse is that there is no evident problem.

Check engine light came on and vehicle began to surge. Acceleration was unpredictable. It wouldn't accelerate properly and then would surge forward. I took it to a repair shop and after a accumulating a large diagnostic bill, they said that the lobes on camshaft wore down and are causing misfires. They said it was a well known manufacturing defect and a common issue with this engine.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2015 Chrysler Town And Country verdict →
