OIL HOUSING HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES. SINCE 64K MILES, NOW AT 112K. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. THERE ARE SO MANY SIMILAR OCCURANCES. THIS IS A HUGE FIRE HAZZARD.

The engine developed a ticking noise. From what I have found, there are defective rocker arms in the engine. Eventually, they will fail and cause complete engine failure which can occur at any time, even when driving at high speeds. This seems to be a serious safety concern. Went to garage for vehicle to pass routine inspection. However, the OIL FILTER HOUSING was leaking quite a bit. Due to the size of the leak, I had to pay to replace the oil filter housing and the related fluids. This was about a 3 hours repair. I could not drive the vehicle until the part was replaced. This part failing and leaking at about 85,800 miles seems to have been premature. The garage staff told me the vehicle could not pass inspection until the part was replaced. It seems as if the part has had issues and the newer components may be more durable.

Noticed the vehicle was leaking fluid. The vehicle temperature GAUGE was also running HOT. Went to a garage on 9 18 2024 and was told the 2 transmission hose lines were leaking and needed replacing. Was a significant leak. Was not able to use the vehicle due to HOT temperature gauge and only able to drive the vehicle a short distance and leaking fluids. Had to have both transmission hoses replaced at about 84500 miles. (SEE DIFFERENT complaint, that 1 - 2 months later, on 12 5 2024 had to go to a garage and have the OIL FILTER HOUSING replaced due to another leak and replace all related fluids).

Could not start it and had a towing company take to Meekhof Tire & Service where I have my work done. Safety was ok. No inspected other than Meekhof checking to see what was wrong. There were no warning lights on dash. Chrysler has known about this problem for a long time and never did a recall. So I had to get a used 3.6lV6 engine.

There were no warning lights illuminated or messages displayed. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and restarted. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 25 MPH. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that an unknown pump inside of the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the same diagnostic result was provided. The vehicle was then taken back to the independent mechanic and repaired; however, the failure reoccurred a month later. The manufacturer was noticed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

2015 Chrysler Town and Country. Black "Leather". Right Front Passenger Headrest. I was loading something into the Right Sliding door when my elbow bumped the headrest. It was slight enough that I thought nothing of it, but when my passenger got into the R/F seat, the headrest was thrust forward. We attempted to "reset" it but it would not latch in the back position. Upon assessment, we found the plastic "latches" broken. This is a design or quality problem with safety implications and Chrysler needs to replace this headrest in affected vehicles. There are several reports in the 2014-2015 model years with this issue. It should be a safety RECALL. Some complaints are that the parts are on backorder. This cannot be allowed. Chrysler should be held accountable.

The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the rear driver’s side and rear passenger’s side doors were inoperable while depressing the unlock button or attempting to exit the vehicle manually. The contact stated that the children seated in the rear of the vehicle had to go over to the front driver’s or front passenger’s side seats to exit the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the independent mechanic made the contact aware of TSB Number: D21-15; and informed the contact that the vehicle was under warranty. The contact was informed that the door lock actuators on the rear driver’s side and passenger’s side doors were faulty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the TSB. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.

Driving on a highway with my teenager sitting in the front passernger seat when all of a sudden we heard a loud pop and the headrest hit the back of my teenagers head. It was like an explosion. Fortunalty my teenager was looking down and said it didn't hurt them. Yes it is available for inspection. Someone could get a concussion given the force that headrest popped so forcefully. I have not taken it to a Chrysler dealer since it sounds like they dont do anything for it. No warnings.

The sliding passenger door locks when the other doors are unlocked. But when you lock the car that door is not locked so we have to keep the kiddie lock on and not use it and sometimes we have to open it manually. The kiddie locks automatically comes on when the door closes.

With normal use, no accident has occurred both front driver and passenger active headrest have deployed due to faulty plastic casing. One side, front passenger occured with occupant pulling on headrest to enter vehicle in the middle row. One , front driver side, occured when a shopping bag GENTLY bumped the headrest while being removed from the middle row behind the seat. They will not "click" back into place because of a broken piece. If this deployed while driving, rather than casual contact (not rough contact!) it would cause injury to the neck or confusion in a driver to no longer be alert.

Drove 20 miles to doctors appointment in vehicle. No signs of problem. Was at doctors office for about 2 hours. When I left doctors office vehicle was acting erratic. Making noise and revving even when not applying gas. Jolting forward unexpectedly. Hesitating when accelerating. There were no indicators and no check engine light coming on at that time. I got off highway and took back roads until I found a place to safely stop vehicle. Turned vehicle off and waited a bit. Started vehicle again and drove it around a cul de sac several times to try to see if it might be better. While driving in cul de sac check engine light finally came on. It was steady, not flashing. This was several miles after car first started exhibiting erratic behavior. I could not tell if car would be controllable. After parking car for quite a while and letting it cool I was able to drive it the rest of the way home, going slow and coasting when possible to avoid having to accelerate and brake more than absolutely necessary. Ran diagnostic which suggested transmission problem. Looked up recalls and although 2015 town and country has recalls for transmission pump my vin number was not covered under recall. Once transmission was taken apart and investigated by mechanic I learned my transmission pump was indeed bad and so was my torque converter. I had to pay for transmission rebuild and pump and converter out of my pocket. While I was driving the car the day this happened I had no warning of the problem. Drive to the appointment was normal- no noise or erratic behavior. Drive home was scary. Hard to judge what car would do. Had to leave lots of distance in case car jolted forward and go slow in case car would not accelerare when needed. Had to pull over and let car cool multiple times to get all the way home. If I was not able to exit the highway when I did I fear I may have had an accident trying to drive safely at highway speeds.
