The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-350 with a trailer hitched to the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver’s side rear wheel locked up, and the trailer started fishtailing. The contact stated that the vehicle was shifted manually into second gear but failed to accelerate above 15 MPH. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.

Since my vehicle has been in warranty I've had intermittent issues where my vehicle loses track of what gear its in and forces downshift to 1st gear. For the most part this only happened when I was going slower speeds. I told my Ford dealer about it but they said there were no recalls for it. On Wednesday while driving at highway speeds my dash lights indicating the transmission position began to flicker then my vehicle downshifted to first gear locking up the tires and screeching me to a near halt.

While driving 60 mph, in heavy rain, flat roadway the vehicle down shifted from 6th gear to 4th and from 6th gear to 3rd several times. The shift to 3rd from 6th was hard and accompanied by a temporary loss of forward momentum. No check engine light came on. All temperature gauges remained within normal range. The tachometer jumped and fell wildly during each of the events. I pulled off the highway at the next exit, turned off the ignition, and waited a few minutes. I restarted the truck and proceeded without additional problems.

WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY INTERSTATE 25 IN COLORADO. TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH. I EXPERIENCED SEVERE VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END OF THE TRUCK. VIBRATION WOULD NOT GO AWAY UNTIL I SLOWED TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP. THIS ONLY HAPPENED AFTER I HIT A BUMP ON THE HIGHWAY CAUSING THE FRONT END TO START VIBRATING AND IT PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE. I RECENTLY HAD TWO OF MY TIRE RODS CHANGED NEW BRAKES PUT ON THE TRUCK IN MY TIRES ROTATED AND PROPERLY INFLATED. THESE CANNOT BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM THERE MUST BE SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENING.

I ORDERED A NEW F-350 POWER STROKE DIESEL IN NOVEMBER. I WAITED UNTIL JAN 22 FOR IT TO BE DELIVERED TO ME. $65,000. WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP AT SUNRISE FORD IN FT PIERCE FLORIDA, IT LOOKED LIKE THE WHEEL HUBS WERE RUSTED SO I LOOKED UNDERNEATH. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I SAW. THE ENTIRE CARRIAGE TO THE DRIVE TRAIN WAS NOT ONLY CORRODED AND RUSTED, BUT HOLES WERE DEVELOPING IN THE DRIVE SHAFT, THE TIE RODS, THE CARRIAGE BOLTS, THE WHEEL SUPPORTS, THE U-JOINTS...NOT SURFACE RUST. IT WAS AS THOUGH THE TRUCK PARTS WERE TAKEN FROM A JUNK YARD. THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT. SURE ENOUGH, WHEN I LOOKED UNDER ALL THE TRUCKS THEY WERE ALL ROTTED OUT...BEAUTIFUL BOX PUT ON ROTTED CHASSES. THE THING IS THAT WHEN YOU TOW TENS OF THOUSANDS OF POUNDS WITH THESE "WORK HORSES", IT IS THE CHASSIS THAT NEEDS TO BE STRONG AND WHEN IT IS ALREADY OXIDIZING, IT IS GOOD FOR NOTHING. I TOOK BACK MY DEPOSIT AND BEGAN TRAVELING TO NORTH PALM AND OTHER DEALERS....SAME THING...RUSTED AND ROTTED OUT CHASIS, CHASIS PARTS, DRIVE TRAIN AND PARTS AND BOLTS AND OTHER COMPONENTS. WE MADE THEM LIFT THE TRUCK SO I COULD SEE IF IT WAS AN OLD VEHICLE THEY WERE PASSING OFF AS NEW....9 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, TRAVELED BY FREIGHT...NOT DRIVEN...AND THE YEAR ON THE STICKER IN THE DOOR WAS 2014/JAN. WHEN I ASKED WHAT OTHER PEOPLE DO...HE SAID, "NO ONE EVER THINKS TO LOOK UNDERNEATH....BY THE WAY...THE CHASIS IS ONLY WARRANTIED FOR THREE YEARS...THEN FORD WASHES THEIR HANDS OF IT! WHAT HAPPENED TO AMERICA?THIS NEEDS TO BE PUT ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA. I FILMED THE ENTIRE UNDER CARRIAGE AND WOULD LIKE TO SEND THEM TO YOU. *TR
