Vehicle shut off while driving, just missed getting hit. Seeing recalls for the same issue with the fuel system and being rejected for them to admit and take accountability for the issue. As this is on recall for 2019 and up. Same issue cracked fuel system circulated through complete fuel system.

While driving 60 mph, in heavy rain, flat roadway the vehicle down shifted from 6th gear to 4th and from 6th gear to 3rd several times. The shift to 3rd from 6th was hard and accompanied by a temporary loss of forward momentum. No check engine light came on. All temperature gauges remained within normal range. The tachometer jumped and fell wildly during each of the events. I pulled off the highway at the next exit, turned off the ignition, and waited a few minutes. I restarted the truck and proceeded without additional problems.

On 7/23/23 I experienced the death wobble in my 2014 F350 for at least the fifth time since purchasing the truck 4 years ago. This time was the most violent, scary and dangerous time of all. I was on an interstate, in heavy traffic, traveling at 65 miles per hour. Previous incidents have resulted in repairs to the suspension. Everything from tie rod ends, stabilizers and shocks. This most recent incident required that the steering damper to be replaced. All total, I have spent at least $3,000 in repairs in the last 4 years for this problem alone. Not to mention that I fear for me and my wife’s safety.

I PURCHASED THIS PICKUP 3 MONTHS AGO, AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. THE FORD DEALER HAS BEEN WORKING ON IT WEEKLY, EVEN TALKING WITH ENGINEERS FROM FORD, BUT IT STILL COMES ON AFTER RESETTING. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE COMPUTER, WIRING AND SENSOR BUT IT STILL SHOWS THE SAME CODE. THE LIGHT COMES ON WHETHER I'M TOWING OR NOT GOING DOWN THE ROAD.

MY NEWER P/U JUST OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY IS LEAKING FROM THE RADIATOR. SEEMS TO BE ON ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE 6.7 L ENGINE. FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND ASSIST WITH THE LARGE COST OF FIXING. FORD DEALERSHIP TOOK A LOOK AT IT AND SAYS IT NEEDS A NEW RADIATOR. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING AROUND 40K MILES. JUST A FEW DROPS ON THE GROUND EACH DAY ON THE GARAGE FLOOR.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2014 Ford F-350 Super Crew verdict →
