The instrument cluster and the information center screen unexpectedly go out while driving! It is totally unacceptable and fatal to occupants because None of the informations available while driving, such as speed, navigation, any warnings, alerts, lightings, etc.

Backup camera is intermittent. This puts persons behind me in danger of accidental back-over. The vehicle has been reproduced and seen and confirmed by the dealer's Service Mgr. The vehicle has been turned in to the servicing Hyundai dealer on 4 occasions and they have failed each time to repair the issue. The system has been intermittent over for 5 repair attempts and a period of 5 months. It has been at an authorized Hyundai dealer for repairs for a total of over 60 days. On 5/13/2026, the left side instrument cluster went completely dark and was unresponsive. Multiple reboots failed to restore it. Infotainment (right side) rebooted; instrument cluster did not. Vehicle brought to Hyundai of Las Vegas on 5/15/2026. RECALL CONNECTION: This is consistent with Recall 26V047000 (Hyundai #293), issued 1/26/2026, for 2025 Tucson instrument panel failure violating FMVSS No. 101. My VIN is not in the database. I request VIN inclusion review as my experience is identical. The OTA/dealer software update was never applied prior to this failure. SAFETY RISK: Loss of instrument cluster eliminated ability to monitor speed, fuel, and warnings while driving. Unprompted AEB activation raises concern about FCA reliability — risks unexpected braking to cause potential crash or failure to engage. Consistent with FCA recall issued 5/16/2026 for my vehicle. DEALER: Hyundai of Las Vegas confirmed and repaired under warranty, described to me only as a hard reset. Diagnostic was not indicated on my report. Service advised me that recurrence is likely. The center infotainment display flickers then goes fully blank while driving, caused by a defective coaxial cable with undersized shield width (Hyundai TSB MC-11010978-0001). When the screen blanks, the backup camera also stops working, leaving no rear visibility when reversing. Audio and head-up display still function. The vehicle and component are available for inspection. Safety risk: the display and backup camera fail without warning during normal driving and while reversing, eliminating rear visibility and risking striking pedestrians, objects, or vehicles. Failures are triggered by heat, potholes, and braking—routine conditions—so the loss is unpredictable. The dealer reproduced and confirmed the problem, identified the TSB cable defect as root cause, and made multiple failed repairs: tightening clips, replacing the wiring harness, replacing the head unit, and performing the TSB repair. The identical symptom returned after the TSB fix. The vehicle has been inspected only by Hyundai's authorized dealer through these repeated visits—not by police, insurance, or a field engineer (field engineer involvement is being requested). No warning lamps or messages precede the failure. The first symptom is the screen flickering, immediately followed by the screen going blank and the backup camera failing. Symptoms first appeared at 10,717 miles on 07/23/25.

This is an ongoing issue. The panel lights and indicators associated with climate control setting module (in front of/below) the dash are very dim. In normal to bright daylight it can be impossible to see. As a result drivers have to take their eyes off the road and bend down a little to see what the climate control lettings are set on or whether a selection has been set properly. This has obvious potential safety issues. Hyundai tell customers the modules are performing normally, but there are many, many complaints on the web. These modules need to be recalled and replaced.

Intermittent flickering of the infotainment + backup camera screen. The screen displays glitching bands of static, loses touchscreen functionality, and reboots on its own. The flashing light presents a significant safety hazard when driving at night. Dealer has tried replacing the head unit and adjusting the coaxial cable with no success.

Vehicle propulsion system failed, as a result vehicle rolled down an inclined driveway in to the street and was stuck in the middle on the street in traffic. Vehicle had started normally, was able to shift into Drive, no obvious warning lights or error messages displayed. Vehicle would shift into Drive/Park/Reverse as required but would not move. Upon shutdown an restart two warning lights were display but Vehicle would still not move. Vehicle only had 168 miles on the odometer. Vehicle is a Hybrid, engine was running and Battery charged. Apparently the problem was a failed "Over the Air Software Update", this was corrected by Dealer (see attached file). Safety issue is that the Vehicle, 1 Failed to display any error regarding a Failed Update, 2 Failed to immobilize the Vehicle allowing to move in an unsafe state, 3 Failed to notify Owner that Updates had been done, 4 Proceeded with an over thew air Update that could potentially place the Vehicle in an unsafe state.

While driving, the digital cluster (unit that displays speed, fuel etc) goes blank many times and this is a major safety issues as critical info is unavailable and also very distracting while driving as the unit flickers and reboots during driving. My vehicle was purchased new and has less than 5100 miles on it. The screen and heads-up display randomly begin to glitch and then simply go dark. I can't see my speed, fuel or charge levels or any important data while driving. This has happened multiple times already. My vehicle is a 2025 model. Interestingly, Hyundai had the same type issue on 2024 models and issued a TSB to resolve this issue, but have not issued any repair for the 2025 models. This is a major safety issue.

The electronic dashboard and heads up display go blank for as little as a few seconds to over 30 seconds. This happens over and over again. Sometimes in doesn't happen at all but more often than not it does. I have no data when this does this, no idea what speed I'm going at, no data about the blind spot safety controls. Nothing. If it unsafe to drive without knowing what speed you are going and other information. The dealer said they could not reproduce the condition even though there is a Hyundia Technical Service Bulletin out for the same problem on a similar Hyundai and many, similar reports on the Hyundai forum. The dealer said they could do nothing even though I had to drive off in an unsafe vehicle.

To be honest, this could have been happening for months and I just didn’t pick up on it. I typically look out the front window and use my heads-up display. I’m very rarely looking at the gauges while I’m driving down the street so this just happens to be when I began to notice it. 9-4-25 near 4 PM Left side screen where gauges are located blackout -it didn’t last long, but it did frighten me and then it did it again and the second time it did like a restart because it came up with the ready to drive message 9-6-25 10:40AM left side of screen black out 9–16–25 7:13 AM. Left side screen where gauges are located blackout a second time at 7:12 PM 9-18/25 4:45 PM left side of screen black out 9-20 -15 10:45 AM left side screen where gauges are located blacked out 11:24 AM all gauges lit up on dashboard I don’t even know all these signs. These are the ones I recognize battery, brake, auto hold, ready, number of caution signs, airbag sign, AFS, ABS EPB (image uploaded showing the car in drive) I turned off the vehicle. The lights remained on restarting the car made no difference. The next day car started normal no access dash lights Took the car to the dealership on Sept. 23, when I made the appointment, they acted like they had never heard of this happening ...however when they called to discuss my car they said they have had several come in with the same issue. They stated they needed to replace a wiring harness, but it is on indefinite backorder according to the service person. I think his name was [XXX] . They were unable to tell me when they will be able to address this concern. I am concerned this sounds very similar to the Toyota's that are being recalled and if both companies need the same part how safe are these cars from Hyundai to drive. I have had two incidents with this vehicle (that I have owned for less than 90 days) that have raised safety concerns. Both involved the loss of all information on the "instrument panel" AKA dashboard. In the first (August 18, 2025), all of the warning lights came on, then the screen went dark - there was no information on the two screens and no head's up display. This happened while I was on the highway doing about 65 mph. After I was able to pull over safely, it took several attempts to get the vehicle started again and in gear. I took it to the dealer the next day and they were unable to replicate the issue and saw no codes. The second episode occurred yesterday (9/6/25). This time the screen went dark except for a large red warning "NO SIGNAL". The screen came back after a few moments; I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Both of these involved losing all information as to the speed of the vehicle - which I believe is a safety issue. Both of these issues have also been reported by others on Facebook ("Hyundai Owners") since late last year and it appears to be some sort of electrical issue but there has been no TSB or recall by Hyundai yet.

The contact owned a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and turned off, the rear of the passenger seat caught fire. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The fire was extinguished twice by the Fire Department since the fire reignited after the first time the fire was extinguished. A fire report was filed, and a report number was provided. The cause of the failure was determined to be a lithium battery failure. A police report was also filed. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 800.

These failures are intermittent and can last for seconds or minutes while operating the vehicle. Onset seems to be related to ambient temperatures, routine ride disturbances, acceleration and deceleration activities in the normal course of vehicle operation. The issue has been a topic of discussion on several online owners forums. Owners report that Hyundai dealers have attempted to resolve this issue unsuccessfully with harness replacement, pin and connector retensioning efforts, and display replacement.

I was driving my new 2025 Tucson on a 2400 mile trip. On the way back the entire dashboard went black and I got a big red notice. No signal. Could not see anything. No speedometer no nothing after while a black screen went away and I got the regular screen back but it had all of the fault lights lit up. This happened periodically through the whole trip. In addition, the heads up display worked periodically only. And I could not use the cruise control as it kept telling me that it couldn't see my eyes. Although I did not have any glasses on at the time. I feel very unsafe with this car. It is at the dealership waiting for new wiring harness but as I see in social media this has happened to many other people. I think this is something you should know about.

At least once, when the HUD went out, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree (all the warning lights came on), and a couple times it went totally black. I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed a bad head unit, and am awaiting parts.

Came back on after extended power off, but is flickering in and out when I go over a bump. All warning lights will light up, or the screen will go blank with "No Signal" or restart as if I had just turned on the car. HUD comes in and out. Infotainment is working fine.
