What 180 owners told NHTSA about the 2024 Ford F-150 Supercab

Almost all functions connected to the steering column quit working. I do not have working turn signals, high beams or wipers, unless the wipers are on high. None of the functions on the steering wheel work. It seems like a safety issue to not have functioning turn signals or properly finctioning wipers and high beams. No lamps or warnings.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the lights on the instrument panel were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed junction box. The contact was informed that water and mold had gotten into the junction box and caused the damage. In addition, the contact was informed that the water and mold had started from the windshield seal. The contact was informed that the wiring harness, the windshield, and the carpet needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that the windshield was not properly sealed by the factory. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V486000 (Visibility); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was the fleet manager and had several of the vehicles in inventory. The contact was concerned that the vehicles would experience the same failure and that the repair would not be covered under the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

The contact applied pressure with his hand to the window and the vibration stopped; however, as soon as the contact removed his hand the vibration restarted. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was constant while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the failure occurred with either of the rear windows was opened slightly. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the issue. The dealer decided to replace all the gaskets on the driver's side door, and parts of the window actuator motor. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer a total of four times. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure by the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 3,700.
