"I am reporting federal safety recall non-compliance and fraudulent remedy execution by an authorized manufacturer franchise, Bella Nissan of Union City ([XXX]), regarding NHTSA Campaign 26V-080 (Nissan Recall Code R25E2) on my 2023 Nissan Rogue SL FWD.I am the original owner of this vehicle, which has an exceptionally low odometer reading of 12,142 miles. The vehicle is used as primary medical transport for my [XXX] special needs son, who has a severe traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and partial paralysis. On July 1st, 2026, I brought the vehicle to the dealership explicitly to resolve the critical engine bearing seizure and fire-risk recall. The dealership quoted a 3-hour repair window. Instead, the dealer rushed the vehicle through in 43 minutes total (Start: 12:52, End: 13:35) and recorded an impossible 1-mile odometer difference (Mileage In: 12,142, Mileage Out: 12,143). A single-mile drive is physically incapable of heating the engine oil to the high operating temperatures required by Nissan’s official engineering service bulletin to diagnose defective engine bearings. The dealership falsely certified to federal databases that this fire-risk vehicle was legally remedied, cleared the active safety flag on my consumer app, and billed the manufacturer's warranty department for work never performed. They also billed for a multi-point inspection and complimentary detail that were completely falsified, returning the car with an untouched, dirty windshield. The service advisor then actively withheld the paperwork I physically initialed at pickup, forcing me to take an internal 'Pre-Invoice Audit Copy' to conceal the non-compliant metrics.By rubber-stamping this safety recall on paper without executing the mandatory high-temperature diagnostic drive loop, this dealership has left an unverified fire-risk asset on the road, actively endangering a medically fragile family. I am refusing any future repair loops i want a buyback INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The Contact owns a 2023 NISSAN Rogue. The contact stated while driving the vehicle at an undisclosed speed he stated he lost a motive of power, causing the vehicle to be towed due to not having power. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed to have an issue with the fuel system. The contact stated the vehicle had been to a dealer on multiple occasions. The contact referenced that the vehicle had a turbo failure that could've been covered under a warranty, but the dealer refused to acknowledge the failure until the last trip to the dealer where they stated that it was a turbo failure, and now the warranty has expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 107,806.

I was mailed a letter about a recall for engine bearings. When i called the dealership, they told me they did not have the parts and that Nissan would reach out. Then i received another letter so i called back and scheduled an appt. Before the appointment, the car started exhibiting stalling behavior which included causing me hit a pot hole. Then critical engine warning lights came on, so Nissan towed it to the dealership. The dealership wants $5,000 for a bad turbo and says it is not covered under the recall, only engine bearings and a turbo hose are covered. I believe the ongoing engine failures, bad manufacturing, negligence on behalf of Nissan is causing these issues and it should be covered. This can also cause the throttle body to go bad, which would be another couple thousand dollars. This car is 3 years old, and i still owe 4 years of payments for an unsafe vehicle that i can not drive. I am attempting to escalate this with Nissan, but so far, it has not been covered.

While driving 40-50 mph, my vehicle abruptly dropped to a speed of below 20 mph without warning, scaring me to the point of nearly driving off the side of the road, almost getting rear-ended, and catapulting me forcefully toward my windshield. Simultaneously, this warning light and exact message appeared with a very loud alarm/chime - ️ Warning Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service Engine Now The initial occurrence happened on 07/03/2024 with my vehicle having only 10,208 miles. The same issue has occurred several times since. My vehicle has been inspected by the dealership/manufacturer where they have been unable to reproduce or replicate the problem. I have reported this to Nissan Consumer Affairs as well. The current recall on my vehicle that was announced in July 2025 associated with an engine bearing recall and its safety warnings correlate very closely with what I have experienced. This vehicle is unpredictable and unsafe to drive due to being no warning of the vehicle speed possibly dropping from a 70 mph highway speed down to 20 mph in a split second without warning. This is not only a danger to me and my passengers, but to the other potential vehicles and pedestrians around my vehicle. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Dear Sir or Madam, I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue for $24,510.00 from a New Jersey Nissan dealership. Only 45 days after the purchase, Nissan issued two separate safety recalls involving a risk of crash. Nissan failed to provide the necessary parts for months and did not remedy the safety defects within a reasonable time, as required under the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act (49 U.S.C. Chapter 301). I repeatedly contacted Nissan asking for: 1.a buyback at fair market value, and 2.a rental/loaner vehicle until the recall repairs were completed. Nissan refused both requests, which violates the New Jersey Lemon Law, the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. Because the vehicle was unsafe to drive and Nissan offered no solution, I was forced to sell it for $16,600.00. My financial loss is $7,910.00. I respectfully request: 1.A formal investigation into Nissan North America’s handling of these safety recalls, and 2.Assistance in recovering my $7,910.00 economic loss. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was driving home at night when my car broke down on the highway. I had to leave the car there and take an Uber home. The next day, I had the car towed to the nearest Nissan Service Center to have it check/repair. They did the diagnostic and they didn't know what's going on with the car, a few days later they told me that the Engine was damaged and needed to be replaced but they were waiting for Nissan to approve it. It took 2 and a half weeks to get the car repair. After the repair, I still have the engine lights come up and the car jerks when accelerating; I reported these issues to Customer Affairs and they didn't do anything about it; they also told me that there is another recall pending and will be taken care of in January. This is not the first time the car broke down, I had all engine lights come up before and had to run the the Nissan Service center; they told me that the fuel gasket was leaking. I don't feel safe driving this car; I have to commute to work everyday and I'm afraid that is going to break down again. I bought a Nissan car because I had like 4 different Nissan models before and they always have been very reliable cars, but this time I think I got a lemon and Nissan don't feel like they need to replace it. I have all the recordings going back and forth with the Customer Affairs where they confirm that it was they fault the car broke down.

Engine Malfunction Power Reduce Service Now Wed Aug 20. My 2023 Rogue was at the dealership debating that thye can fix the recall because there is no remedy for the inspection for the recall. My truck stayed at the shop until October. This passed Friday October 31 while driving and picking up donations I began to get on the freeway and the same message happened. I couldn't go over 25mph the dealership was 28 minutes away. My safety was a risk it was the on ramp of the freeway and it was all Freeway to get to the dealership. The food donations I picled up were at risk of not be able.to be served to shelter residents. I receibed and email stating that the fuel injectors and EGR Valve need to replace immediately totatling almost 5,000 after just paying $1700 last month. This is the second time since August with this message but the check engine light has been going on and off with alerts in my car amd nissan app for over 6 months

There is an odd engine 'rattling', 'guzzling', 'slurping', type noise coming from the engine and the engine has begun to idle very rough even after fresh oil change. This is directly the issue cited from Nissan as recall with no current solution - which is unacceptable. We are not interested in waiting until the car malfunctions worse and in a dangerous way in order to get this recall addressed.

So my engine failed at 70K. Nissan replaced it with a remanufactured engine the is failing faster than the original engine. Currently at 112K, I have replaced the catalytic converter, muffler, Egr sensor twice, mass airflow sensor and oil changes at 3K just to have the vehicle in the shop for 6-7 months in 2025 alone. Do not buy a 2023 Nissan Rogue with the 1.5L. The reman engine is under a safety recall for bearing degradation, but the dealership won't even look at it unless I pay upfront for a full diag fee of 4500 dollars for a wiring harness that is a secondary condition. Apparently the remedy won't be out until late in Q4 of 2025. No rental or loaner assistance was offered at all. The vehicle has a deep knocking and won't accelerate properly to use roads and interstate driving safely. The latest symptom is low oil pressure and stalling. Completly unsafe car and ridiculous amount of time getting repaired. All of this has been since October 31st of 2024.

When I first purchased the vehicle I started to smell gasoline inside the vehicle and then it became worse and now I smell it outside and inside the vehicle my garage smells of gasoline. The engine on echo mode gets 35mpg which I was told it should be less than that. The engine loses power, it makes noises, is very rough felling when driving, it seems that the vehicle is getting worse by the day. The gasoline smell is so bad I have to get out of the vehicle because it starts burning my eyes and then I get chest pain/burning.

The main issue involves the engine bearings (recall campaign KR15, NHTSA ID 25V-437). According to Nissan, certain engines equipped with the 1.5L VC-Turbo have a manufacturing defect in the main, A-, C-, and L-link bearings or related components. This defect can lead to engine damage and, in some cases, complete engine failure. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This situation puts my safety and the safety of others at risk, because if the engine fails while driving, it may cause a sudden loss of motive power, significantly increasing the risk of a crash. I am especially concerned because I frequently drive on highways and in traffic conditions where a sudden loss of power could result in an accident. The issue has been confirmed by Nissan through the recall notice, but as of now, the remedy is still pending, and there is no immediate fix or available parts for the engine bearing defect. My vehicle has not yet been inspected by Nissan for this recall, and I have not received a loaner vehicle or alternative solution to ensure safety while the remedy is pending. In addition, there are two other active recalls: Turbo hose defect (Nissan ID P4A47) – may cause fuel vapor smell inside or around the vehicle. EEM Logic (Nissan ID P3A28) – related to the Underhood Switching Module (USM/IPDM), which may lead to a vehicle no-start condition. Before the engine problem fully manifests, there are warning signs including unusual engine noises, rough engine performance, and warning messages appearing on the dashboard, such as the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). These symptoms appeared progressively and have increased my concern about the possibility of a total engine failure while driving.

My 2023 Nissan Rogue is currently at the Avondale Nissan Dealership in Avondale, AZ. I have been taking it between service appointments and the check engine and recall for the pass 4 Months then a week ago it stop while driving to my mailbox and acted like it was in an accident. Each time I have taken to the dealership they stated it unfortunate would have to wait until something worse happen because they couldn’t see it in the codes. Now that what was described has happened the dealership is stating I have to pay 3500 to determine if it is the engine. Before they can determine if it’s part of the recall after 4 months of me asking for the help and describing how the car was running.

I HAVE THE SMELL OF RAW FUEL COMING ENGINE AFTER ENGINE IS SHUT OFF . THE IS VERY NOTICEABLE INSIDE CABIN AREA, AND OUTSIDE OF CAR IF IT IS IN GARAGE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP TO MY NISSAN DEALER EACH TIME I BRING IT IN FOR SEVICE. I RECIEVE THE SAME ANSWER EACH TIME THERE NOTHING FROM NISSAN ON THIS ISSUE. THE SMELL OF GAS IS OVER BEARING AT TIMES , AND I'M AFRAID THAT IT MAY CATCH FIRE. THIS HAS BEEN A ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE I PURCHACED THE CAR NEW.
