My Nissan rogue is experiencing issues with the throttle body leading it to mal function lights warning see owner manual at 27k miles which also the air mass flow sensor code is coming on P101 at very low mileage. In which those parts are suppose to last for years more mileage I’m concerned for the safety of this vehicle as it’s being very costly and defective and the issues are appearing same symptoms as recalls but the car Vin is not listed this car feels unsafe as it has gone through a few recalls. This car has been inspected by dealership and I was aware of the situation because of them in a diagnostic report.

The shifter assembly/electronic transmission control in my 2023 Nissan Rogue failed after alleged liquid intrusion from a foreseeable spill near the cup holder. I turn on the car with the remote and it doesn't work; then when I try to start the car, it won't start, it gives an error and won't start; it all happens because of using the remote start; they updated the software because they didn't want to replace the engine due to a recall of defective bearings, and now they've made the starting problem worse, claiming it's an injector issue; they scanned it, reset it, and it's working again; so what injector problems does the software say it has??? It only happens when I plug a device into the USB port or when I start the car remotely; I'm frustrated because it's my work vehicle.

When starting the car, the park light flashes on the dashboard and the electronic parking brake will not disengage. The brake will also not disengage if you switch into gear and try to start driving like it would if the electronics were working properly. There is a start error message displayed on the dashboard as well when the car is started: I had to turn the car off and on dozens of times before it resolved. A google search revealed this is happening to a lot of owners of the ‘23 rogues. One person needed a chip replaced. Others said the only way they could get the car to move was turning the car on and off, sometimes taking hours. I was stranded without being able to drive away.

I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue from Bella Nissan in Union City in September 2025. The dealership failed to disclose to me that there was an open recall on my vehicle. Several weeks later, the car shut down on me while I was driving back to work from lunch, which was extremely dangerous as well as frightening. I missed half a day’s pay because I could not return to work. I had to return the car to the dealership where they blew off my concerns and initially did not want to give me a loaner car but I was adamant that they assess my car, fix it and give me a loaner car in the process. A pattern would emerge where they would tell me the engine damage had been fixed, and I would return the loaner only to have to bring the car right back the same day or several days later due to the car engine shutting down, every time while I was driving the car. The last time I had to return the car, I was able to look at the paperwork that was written regarding my car and it said the reason for me bringing back the car was a check engine check light that was on. When I spoke to my service technician to tell him that the writeup was inaccurate, he ignored me. I spoke with the general manager, Muhammad, and requested the dealership put me in another car and he told me he was unable to do that.He promised me that the dealership would fix the engine open recall and then I would not have any more issues. That was not the case because I have returned to the dealership multiple times to get the engine recall fixed; today 5-27-26 being the most recent time. Today my car was making loud noises and there was smoke – none of this has ever happened before and I don’t want the car to catch fire. I was not able to upload my videos of the car shutting down. I shouldn’t have had so many issues with a newly purchased car. I have video but was unable to upload it. I simply ask that Bella Nissan take back this damaged vehicle and put me in another comparable vehicle, which was my initial request.

Our front and backup camera do not work. We took it to a Nissan dealer on April 20, 2026, and was advised that the AVM control unit has to be replaced. They found and recommended: "All system scan found AVM missing from dtc sheet. Performed can diag found AVM offline. Rec replace AVM control unit." Research shows that there is a defect in the rear wiper grommet or seal allowing water to enter the liftgate, contributing to the overall failure of the rear hatch components - water corroded the rear backup camera unit.

The passenger compartment doors locking mechanism can fail to operate properly preventing access to the the car through the external handles and can cause hanging if inside the cabin requiring multiple pulls to get the door to unlock. When the lock toggles are not completely in the locked or unlocked position, the solenoid will still function but will not unlock/lock the problem door. If the door has the child lock is activated and the locking mechanism is bound up because of the toggle, this creates an entrapment issue if you don't know what is going on. The most recent incident the emergency brake locked on and the dash flashed system malfunction , maintenance needed, , emergency braking system shut down and several indicators were shut down . This continued for 90 minutes while I was on the phone with Nissan and was waiting for the tow truck when arriving at Nissan 72 miles away , they were not able to find any codes and the car was fine no issues . Luckily I have video to back my story . I have pictures and videos of other times it has done this , but no one will look into why it keeps doing this and it’s done it several time over 2 1/2 years . They changed the stop /start button and it helped but now it’s starting to flash the emergency braking system is off again which is a build up to a major episode again. My rogue has less than 40, 000 miles on it and has been one issue like this after another with them slapping band aides on it and not finding the source of the problem. They even claim it cleared the bearing failure test but the test was preformed while it was on route to Nissan on a tow truck .

While driving my 2023 Nissan Rogue (approximately 51,000 miles), the vehicle completely lost all electrical power twice. The first incident occurred on Wednesday while stopped at a traffic light, and the second occurred on Friday afternoon after parking the vehicle; in the second instance, it would not start and had to be towed to the dealership. Prior to the failures, the vehicle displayed CVT Malfunction and MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) warnings, which the dealership was made aware of. When the vehicle was brought to the dealership (Keating Nissan), they identified a fatigued negative battery terminal and cable assembly as the cause. They performed a temporary adjustment, but stated that the repair is not permanent and may require replacement. Only days before these incidents, the dealership performed a multi-point inspection where the battery was marked as passing inspection. Because the vehicle lost all power while driving, this was a serious safety concern, putting me, passengers, and others on the road at risk. The vehicle can be inspected by the dealership upon request. I do not feel confident that the root issue has been permanently resolved, and I am concerned given the age and mileage of the vehicle that such a failure occurred so early. I would appreciate assistance reviewing this situation, confirming the appropriate permanent repair, and advising on options for support given the safety concern.

On Friday my car wouldn’t start. I put in a request for AAA to come out and do a battery test. The technician comes out and hooks up my battery to the portable box and it still didn’t have the power to crank the car. The car turned on and was clicking it didn’t have enough power to actually start the car. My dad came and gave me a jump saturday morning, and said he thinks I needed a new battery. I drove to advanced auto by my house had them perform a battery test and the told me the battery was complete shot. I had to spend $300 on a new battery. After I left there and got onto rt 70, The thermostat in the corner of the dash, the needle started moving up more towards the hot once I accelerated to 50 mph. The way home was a night mare as the car started to lose power, check engine light came on then the check oil light. At this point my car is jerking across the intersection where I had to put on my hazards and barely made it home. It’s weird this all happened within a day and so sudden. I got notification about the recalls and was thinking this is all related. Monday morning 3/3 I get the car towed to Nissan on rt 37, where the told me I needed a engine but not due from the recall. the recall was for oil temp and the car has a coolant leak that leaked on the engine and I would have to pay out of pocket. I asked for the report they haven’t sent anything over yet. I bought that car from carvana last march on the 17th, so it hasn’t been a year and they told me i’m out of my warranty’s at 71 thousand miles. I feel so defeated as i’m paying 500 a month for this is car and haven’t had it for a year. I’m reaching out to file a complaint or to see if there’s anything I can do on my end. with the coolant leak, I’ve never had any issues with the car prior as it drove regularly and never saw any residue on the ground. Nissan representative said she’s working with her manager to see if they can do a good will.

The first time I was on the I expressway the car started to loose power I had the pedal to the floor and it wouldn't go. Took it to the dealer and they kept it for a week they changed the turbo and another recall part. Then it drove okay for maybe a month and started right back again loosing power idling I took it to the nissian they said its a recall on the engine bearings and there wasn't nothing that could be done. The transmission is constantly acting like its going out cause it takes a minute to go into the next gear. Im a traveling nurse I lost my contract due to not having a reliable vehicle it wouldnt start some days nissian checked the battery said it was good they couldnt figure out rhat issue. I bought a new battery still the same issue then I was driving down a busy street, I started smelling gas or a muffler smell the check engine light came on and then I took it to nissian. Nissian said the parts for the engine bearing is in but we cant fiix the recall until the check engine light is off. They did a diagnostics test and said its the EGR valve and control system. They want me to pay over 3000 dollars and refuse to fix it. Ive had the car for 9 months and even though the issue started before my warranty was up they refuse to fix it. Ive attached the first invoice and its at nissian right now I dont have the invoice yet.

The contact stated that after exiting the vehicle and walking away with the keys, the doors of the vehicle automatically locked as designed; however, the rear doors of the vehicle failed to unlock, preventing the contact's sister, who was occupying the rear seat, from exiting the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that upon returning to the vehicle, the contact became aware of the issue, and the contact also noticed that the front driver's side door failed to unlock as intended. The contact stated that the failure required the contact to enter the vehicle through the front passenger's side door to get the groceries out of the way for her sister to exit the vehicle through the front passenger's side door. The contact had briefly lost the keys and was able to unlock the doors after finding the keys. The contact stated that the rear doors' failure to unlock did not occur due to the child-lock system. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start on another occasion. A mobile technician from a service contractor was able to jumpstart the vehicle. The technician also recommended that the battery be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue from Galles Chevrolet, located at 2801 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, on May 17, 2025. According to the vehicle history report, the vehicle has an active stop-sale record issued by Nissan. I am unsure of the specific component or system affected. Still, cars under an active stop sale should not be sold until the underlying safety or performance issue has been addressed. Since purchase, we have already experienced several issues with the vehicle, including: Engine performance problems, such as stalling and unusual sounds during startup. Electrical and digital system malfunctions, including warning lights, dashboard errors, and intermittent failures of the infotainment system. Other mechanical concerns include inconsistent braking responses and occasional unusual vibrations from the suspension, as well as numerous other issues. The stop-sale record indicates a potentially serious defect that could put the driver or others at risk. I have not been able to confirm the exact nature of the defect or whether it has been repaired. However, there are still two campaigns/recalls associated with my VIN. I am submitting this report to NHTSA to request an investigation and ensure that the vehicle is safe for operation. All payments are current, and there have been no crashes, fires, or injuries associated with this vehicle to date.

The engine failed while driving on the interstate at 65+ mph. The malfunction indicator lights came on and beeped loudly, including Engine Malfunction and AWD Malfunction (which I don't have). The vehicle lost power, and the engine began making a frightening noise. I had to get over several lanes with no working gas pedal, and I'm lucky nobody was hurt. I had to be towed thirty miles to the nearest dealership. The dealership, who didn't answer when I called ahead to let them know I was coming, was unhelpful, and employees made jokes about just trading it in instead of fixing it. They said it could be months, and that there's no remedy for the recall. I have to wait until they re-open on Monday to speak with anybody. The only symptom prior was that sometimes the vehicle wouldn't recognize my key fob being near/in the vehicle, but I thought it was a battery problem. I thankfully knew about the recall and mentioned it to the dealership, but they don't seem to be agreeable to loaning me a vehicle in the meantime, so this will be a difficult repair process.

Engine Malfunction Power Reduce Service Now Wed Aug 20. My 2023 Rogue was at the dealership debating that thye can fix the recall because there is no remedy for the inspection for the recall. My truck stayed at the shop until October. This passed Friday October 31 while driving and picking up donations I began to get on the freeway and the same message happened. I couldn't go over 25mph the dealership was 28 minutes away. My safety was a risk it was the on ramp of the freeway and it was all Freeway to get to the dealership. The food donations I picled up were at risk of not be able.to be served to shelter residents. I receibed and email stating that the fuel injectors and EGR Valve need to replace immediately totatling almost 5,000 after just paying $1700 last month. This is the second time since August with this message but the check engine light has been going on and off with alerts in my car amd nissan app for over 6 months

I was in a school line to pick up my child, once picked up my child and the auto start reactivated, that's when the problems be can. Once I exceeded 40 mph the car began to jerk violently, and as I tried to move over to the side of the road I couldn't fast enough the speed of the vehicle was locked at 5mph with the check engine light coming on and the "auto-start/off" indicator flashing, the violent jerking seemed to al so effect the vehicles air conditioning.

The main issue involves the engine bearings (recall campaign KR15, NHTSA ID 25V-437). According to Nissan, certain engines equipped with the 1.5L VC-Turbo have a manufacturing defect in the main, A-, C-, and L-link bearings or related components. This defect can lead to engine damage and, in some cases, complete engine failure. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This situation puts my safety and the safety of others at risk, because if the engine fails while driving, it may cause a sudden loss of motive power, significantly increasing the risk of a crash. I am especially concerned because I frequently drive on highways and in traffic conditions where a sudden loss of power could result in an accident. The issue has been confirmed by Nissan through the recall notice, but as of now, the remedy is still pending, and there is no immediate fix or available parts for the engine bearing defect. My vehicle has not yet been inspected by Nissan for this recall, and I have not received a loaner vehicle or alternative solution to ensure safety while the remedy is pending. In addition, there are two other active recalls: Turbo hose defect (Nissan ID P4A47) – may cause fuel vapor smell inside or around the vehicle. EEM Logic (Nissan ID P3A28) – related to the Underhood Switching Module (USM/IPDM), which may lead to a vehicle no-start condition. Before the engine problem fully manifests, there are warning signs including unusual engine noises, rough engine performance, and warning messages appearing on the dashboard, such as the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). These symptoms appeared progressively and have increased my concern about the possibility of a total engine failure while driving.

The screen turns off suddenly while the vehicle is in use. Additionally, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system is either deactivated or displays as “off” when the car is started. The sudden deactivation of the AEB system compromises the vehicle’s ability to automatically brake in critical situations, increasing the risk of a collision. The screen turning off could also limit access to important vehicle information or controls, further impacting safety. No warning lamps appeared prior to the failure. The issue with the screen and AEB deactivation happens when the vehicle is started, but there were no prior warnings before this started occurring. After so many recalls, I no longer feel safe with this vehicle.
