The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, an emissions warning light illuminated. The contact stated that he drove to a dealer who diagnosed that the gas vaporizer cannister had been punctured by road debris. The cannister was made out plastic with no protection from road debris. The contact stated that the cannister was located on the driver’s side of the vehicle approximately 40 inches from the fuel tank. The contact stated that the plastic cannister could be subject to failure from road debris. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.
