thank you for a response the issue is the vehicle is making a cluck noise when turning i took it to a ford dealer mind you i paid 2 thousand dollars for an extended warranty from ford they put the truck on a lift and said there was nothing wrong i instructed them to drive it and they did agree there was a clunck noise and dismissed it as an axle shift with a co worker moving the steering wheel i heard the clucling and noticed the joint at the pitman arm moving up and down what is the point and when does ford decide that it is bad as a commercial vehicle inspector for the state of ma. there should be no play in joints this truck steering could fail as with other ones out on the roads because ford and its dealers are dismissing complaint and its not fair or resonable that they should even question steering issues please for the safety of all look into ther ford steering center link failures and hold them accontable to take care of these issues thank you sincerly [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Bumps in the road caused steering wheel to shake violently (Death Wobble) until truck was stopped in the middle of a 4-lane expressway. Truck is now at the dealer for inspection of frontend steering components. If there was heavier traffic, there would have been an accident. no warning signs present, only bumps in the road which the truck was not able to dampen or control.

Death Wobble. Steering wheel shook violently twice in one 25 mile trip. Once at 73 MPH and once at 65 MPH. Almost caused a crash due to being on a curve in the road when it occurred.

Problem 1: The F250 has the Pro Trailer Backup option will electronic torque overlay steering. The truck wanders when going straight and the steering feels disconnected driving through curves. Both conditions occur at 45+ MPH. Truck alignment was checked three times. Each time alignment was in spec. No engine light or fault codes with electronic torque overlay steering. Truck is going in again to David McDavid in Fort Worth, TX on Aug. 21st for a deeper inspection. Problem 2: Pre collision warning appears randomly with no vehicles in front or sides. This happens at highway speeds. That said, the pre collision warning has worked at least twice when traffic abruptly stopped and I had to brake equally aggressive. Truck currently has 6,600 miles. Symptoms have been there since driven off the dealer lot new.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Ford F-250 Tremor Crew Cab verdict →
