The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V354000 (Back Over Prevention, Electrical System) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB250. The contact stated that upon purchasing the vehicle, the rearview camera failed to activate while reversing. The contact stated that whenever the rearview camera was activated a black or blank screen would be displayed; and the screen remained activated while driving. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V232000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 16. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
