No one sits in the passenger seat 99% of the time. The passenger airbag warning light is illuminated, and I am uncertain about its proper deployment in a critical situation. The issue remains unverified by a dealership or any other individual. The component has not been subject to any inspection. I do not recall the specific warning message displayed on the dashboard.

I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN A RENTAL WHILE DRIVING THROUGH ILLINOIS. A DEER RAN OUT IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE WHILE GOING 70 MILES PER HOUR, THE SEATBELTS ENGAGED SO HARD THAT IT SNAPPED THE BACK OF MY DRIVER SEAT HOWEVER THE AIR BAGS DID NOT RELEASE. THE AIR BAG SIGNAL FOR THE PASSENGER AND THE DRIVER SIDES CAME ON BUT THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. PICTURES ATTACHED.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2019 Chevrolet Impala verdict →
