ABS lights and warnings on dash No trailer control No speedometer due to abs controller

My vehicle has been displaying symptoms associated with this recall for the past 4,500 miles, (miles currently 98,000) and the condition continues to worsen, including abnormal feedback through the brake pedal. Along with the antilock brakes and traction control functions not working the front and rear park sensors as well as the cruise control do not work while these conditions exist. I have contacted multiple dealerships as well as the (FCA US LLC) a subsidiary of Stellantis N.V. seeking assistance, yet every response has been the same: there is no remedy and no parts available. This has escalated beyond an inconvenience and has become a serious and ongoing safety concern for both myself and my family. It is unacceptable that a federally recognized safety recall of this magnitude has remained unresolved for such an extended period without an available repair solution. As the situation currently stands, I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle. Furthermore, I do not believe it is reasonable or responsible to expect owners to sell or trade vehicles burdened with an unresolved safety defect of this nature.

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. There is an open safety recall for the replacement of the HCU for my model year truck. I have been in direct contact with a few different dealerships near me to try to get this part replaced since it disables ABS on my truck and I am told they do not have parts for this recall. I received the recall November of 2024. It has now been 18+ months waiting to get the truck repaired. At this point it is not acceptable.

The manufacturer STILL to this date does not have the parts to repair the recall C4B. What recourse do I have?
NHTSA ODI 11738288
24V-896 Recall open since November 2024. No known resolution. How is this considered a reasonable amount of time? The truck chimes the entire time I drive it and it is a safety issue because it spins tires and has no abs or traction control.

There has been an open recall on my vehicle for over 2 YEARS ! even the recall states "...may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning." This has negatively affected and is a safety issue which involves: 1) Electronic Stability Control - turns off and on - doesn't work 2) Cruise control - cannot use, turns off on on on it's own 3) Steering - affects the steering wheel when turning the wheel, the wheel vibrates and wobbles 4) Traction control - turns off and on 5) Anti lock braking - turns off on on It is my only vehicle which FCA/Ram knows is unsafe to drive but I must drive to work etc. I cannot resell or trade this vehicle in because of the enormous loss in value since it is not repaired by FCA or who ever owns Dodge Ram at this time. I have on multiple occasions contacted FCA/ Chrysler/ and the dealership about the issue, opened numerous cases about the unresolved issues and attempted to get a status with no remedy or timeline provided by the manufacturer. If my family is in the vehicle and we crash... who can I sue? Chrysler? the dealership? or the NHSTA for allowing an open SAFETY recall to continue for over 2 YEARS!!

Safety recall was issued on November 2024. As of May15, 2026, there is no fix or parts available. Having a vehicle disabled for an unresolved safety recall for this amount of time is unacceptable.

I traded my 2001 F250 for this yard art with intentions pf pulling our fifth wheel all over the country. It has sat un-usable for two years. I would happily pay for the parts if they were available. They are not at least that is what the dealer keeps telling me. Milton Ruben in Augusta. The recall is about two years old now and nothing is happening. I can't sell it, I can't trade it,, This is complete BS. And as I understand, there are around 36,000 affected by this??? You can't drive it because of the constant chiming and no cruise control on trips,,

I called FCA for recall information on May 6, 2026 - NHTSA Recall Number24V-896. FCA advised the part is not available yet. I checked [XXX] for a HCU/ABS part and it is available for purchase and explained to FCA it is available. Then FCA says you can go ahead and replace it and file for reimbursement with no timeline for reimbursement. Local RAM service deparment said not parts available. I then talked to same local RAM dealer parts department and they told me part is available. Why is NHTSA allowing for RAM/FCA misinformation. Please address this safety hazrd with the braking system. I have been waiting for three years. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The hydraulic brake control unit has been setting off warnings and noises constantly for several months. The recall came out in November, 2024 and Ram still has absolutely no answers for when or how to repair. How is it allowed for them to issue a recall that states my trucks brakes could fail at any time and not have a repair for it in over 18 months. I was recently in a minor car accident on 4/10/26 where I was standing on the brakes and there was a considerable lag in brake response. I have made several calls to Ram where they tell me I just have to wait until the new part is made. I cannot sell the truck with a massive safety recall and lights on all over the dash and the constant warning dinging. I cannot just not drive the truck because it is my only mode of transportation.

I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2018 Ram 2500 equipped with a Cummins 6.7 diesel engine. The vehicle is experiencing dangerous and intermittent brake failure. Symptoms include: * Brake pedal dropping to the floor during sudden braking * Temporary improvement when pumping the brakes * Vehicle pulling to one side under braking This condition creates a high risk of collision and makes the vehicle unsafe to operate. I have confirmed with the dealership that this issue is associated with an active safety recall involving the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). However, I have been informed that there is currently no available remedy and no timeline for repair. As a result: * The vehicle is unsafe and effectively unusable * I am without safe transportation * The manufacturer has not provided a solution I am requesting that NHTSA review this situation, as it appears vehicles with this recall are remaining on the road without a fix for a critical safety system. Given the nature of brake system failure, I believe this issue presents a serious risk to public safety and warrants immediate attention.

My vehicle has an open safety recall (24V896000) with no available remedy for over a year. I'm not sure why you guys aren't seeing it. The ABS warning light is illuminated, indicating a failure of a critical safety system. I reside in [XXX] where annual safety inspections are required and that date is now here. Despite the defect, the vehicle was passed by a Dodge dealership knowing the ABS system is not functioning properly as there isn't a fix. The manufacturer, Stellantis, has no repair available and no timeline and I've only gotten the run around from their recall department and corporate. I am being forced to operate a vehicle with a known safety defect or not use it at all. This situation leaves consumers without a remedy for a federally recognized safety issue.
