I experienced a complete loss of hydraulic brake pressure while driving home from work, creating a serious safety hazard. The dealership later confirmed that the failure was caused by the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU), which is currently under an active recall (C4B). However, the dealership informed me that they are unable to complete the repair because there is no available remedy for this recall at this time. When I contacted Stellantis corporate, I spoke with Damon, who advised that the dealership could temporarily repair the vehicle using a stock part. Unfortunately, the dealership has stated they cannot source that part, and even if they could, it would not be a true resolution since it is the same component known to fail. As a result, my vehicle is completely inoperable, and I have not been provided with any viable solution. This recall was issued in 2024, and the fact that there is still no remedy available is extremely concerning and appears negligent given the safety risk involved. I am requesting that Stellantis take immediate action to provide a safe and permanent repair solution, as well as support for my current situation.

The ABS system light is on and off and dings all the time. The ABS system has been confirmed by my local dealer who told me at least a year ago that there was a remedy but they werent doing my year of truck yet. I recently called again and was told that I could not get it fixed under the recall but that I could pay 1000 out of my own pocket to get it fixed. I then called recall hotline for the truck and the lady told me that it was escalated and that I would be contacted the next week. That was 2 weeks ago and noone has contacted me. I do pull a trailer with heavy skidloader behind it and not having a functional ABS system is dangerous. In addition listening to the vehicle ding for hours on end while driving is also an extreme nusiance.

The brake hydraulic control unit recall has been going on for a long time. This renders the truck with no anti-lock brakes. The new replacement part is available on the market but dealers will not make the repair on the 2500 series trucks, only 3500.

In January of 2025 I received a letter for a recall with no remedy for the Hydrualic Brake Control Unit that is susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System ("ABS")/Electronic Stability Control ("ESC") /Traction Control performance. A failing HCU will initially result in the intermittent loss of ABS/Traction control progressing to permanent loss. I have reached out to FCA numerous times over the last year and a half with no information received. I have reached out to the local RAM dealer, they stated they have a repair for the vehicle but I would not be able to claim it under the recall as there is no remedy. I am told by FCA that brake failure is possible putting my safety and my family's safety at risk. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than myself. While operating vehicle, warning lamps will illuminate an audible sound will alarm, and then the system will clear. This will happen numerous times over and over and over while driving. These symptoms began February of 2025.

The HCU failed on my truck and the recall was issued over 18 months ago, still no repair in place, still no update. I have filed a complaint on here already once and no response or update on that either. I have no traction control, constant intermittent beeping on and off and no cruise control, for almost two years now and it's just unacceptable. The repairs were supposed to be started in early 2025 and they still have no update and no one from NHTSA is holding them accountable. MAKE THEM FIX THE PROBLEM!!!

Received letter for the HCU recall over a year ago. ABS/Traction Control warning lights and audible dinging started randomly going off & on shortly after receiving the letter. Went on Ram website & completed a form to be notified when the part was available. Never heard from Ram. Contacted Ram and local dealership again last last month and told part is still unavailable. Unfortunately, Ram doesn’t seem to care that this has been going on for years. And even more unfortunately NHTSA (or the agency that can hold Ram accountable) doesn’t seem to care, either, as this problem has been going on for years.

The recall for the HBC unit listed under NHTSA recall #24V-896 is a serious safety concern and causes daily issues driving the vehicle. Without a load in the bed the rear-end is very light so the tires spin easily with the loss of traction control associated with this recall. Also during the rain the truck is almost undriveable due to the frequent tire spins while barely using the throttle.

My 2018 Ram 2500 is under recall for the ABS. My ABS light comes on and dings all the time. Since this is a safety issue Ram should have a correction by now! I received my notification over a year ago!
