This particular truck has heated front seats. While I was driving today 2/18/2022 at about 2:35pm the passenger heated seat was on and the seat caught on fire. The seat was empty and nothing was on the seat. I looked over and there were flames coming from the seat. A hole about a quarter in size was burned in my seat.

THE AC LINE FITTING OVERHEATED CAUSING IT TO EXPLODE AND ARC WHICH IN TURN MELTED THE PRIMARY WIRING HARNESS FOR THE ENGINE. THIS ALSO RESULTED IN THE WIRE CATCHING FIRE AND CAUSING BURN DAMAGE TO THE FIREWALL. THE VEHICLE WAS GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT THE WATER FROM THE CAR WASH PREVENTED FURTHER FIRE DAMAGE.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your
