2018 Ford F150 XLT twin turbo 4wd. Since the day I bought it. Nothing but problems with lurching jerking at stops. Clunking when truck is on AND OFF. We have video of it. Pushing gas pedal and truck hesitates before it jumps forward always the transmission been to every ford dealer in our area they refuse to help or say they DONT HEAR the knocking or feel lurching all lies we have had at least 3 close calls avoiding accidents and 2 days ago the truck would not stop the transmission skipped and I hit a deer. My bull bar absorbed most of the impact. The 10 speed transmission is the issue and no one wants to hear it but ford wants $10,000 for a new transmission after I paid $48000 for this truck and it’s been in the shop half the time.

Was making a left hand turn cutting across traffic at a stop light. Transmission gears slipped causing me to lose power halfway thru a high speed intersection. Other vehicles had to hit curbs to avoid me. This is a common and well known problem with Ford 10R80 transmissions. Someone will eventually end up dying from these issues

Vehicle also dose not always fully engage park when P is illuminated.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The transmission independently downshifted into first gear. The vehicle was uncontrollable and crashed into the median. The contact stated the failure was persistent and had occurred several times. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle sometimes jerked forward and hard-shifted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed transmission. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed of an unknown recall of the transmission, however, the contact did not receive updates regarding the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.

Transmission shifts very hard and sometimes does not stop when at stop signs. This is very dangerous. I have a two year old son and my truck almost got T-boned due to the transmission not shifting gears properly. I’ve had it to the ford dealership twice now with no solution. No lights on, no codes coming up. It has been doing this since I purchased the truck with 27,000 miles on it.

While driving vehicle was shifting rough (106,000 miles) took to dealership performed latest tSB now the truck slams into gear shutters All through the gears then when driving went from 10th gear to 1st gear at 70 miles an hour and almost blew up the whole truck. I went from having rough shifts to almost getting t-boned because the car lost all power when pulling out of a gas station I’ve still gotta pay for 3 more years on this truck and it’s gonna kill me first

Parked 2018 F-150 on slight incline facing downhill. 12' dump trailer attached with load of 2000 lbs. Put transmission in park and set park brake. While preparing to unload trailer, I think I heard a popping sound. Then the truck suddenly began to roll downhill. It traveled about 70 feet before crashing into two parked cars. I ran to the truck and confirmed the transmission was in park and the brake indicator light was on, confirming that I had set the park brake. The truck had rolled freely with no indication of resistance from the brakes or transmission. Considerable damage was done to my truck, the trailer, and the two parked cars. My truck was towed but repairs have not yet begun and no cause has been determined as to why both the park brake and the transmission failed at the same time.

As thousands of drivers have reported and as NHTSA is clearly already aware yet puzzlingly remains silent about - my F150’s transmission creates whiplash when shifting, causes the vehicle to lurch, and loses power unpredictably. Ford refuses to admit the problem but the problem is the same as the rest of their poorly designed vehicles’ problems - they knew the transmissions had design flaws that made the vehicle unsafe to drive. I almost died on I-295 in Jacksonville when the vehicle randomly lost power and took it to the dealer. Now, because Ford has lied and won’t issue a recall that they know is their fault (they are being sued in multiple states for this exact issue) I am going to have to pay almost $10,000 to repair their flaw, by replacing their unsafe transmission with a safe version.

F150 TRUCK WAS STARTED AND GEAR SHIFTER PUT IN REVERSE. VEHICLE MOVED BACKWARDS. AND WAS STOPPED BECAUSE OF VEHICLE BEHIND TRUCK. GEAR SHIFTER WAS PLACED IN DRIVE AND VEHICLE MOVED FORWARD, GEAR SHIFTER WAS THEN PUT IN PARK. ENGINE WHIRRED AND AND VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED BY BRAKES. GEAR SHIFTER WAS PUT IN REVERSE. VEHICLE DROVE BACKWARDS, GEAR SHIFTER WAS PLACED IN PARK. VEHICLE ENGINE ACCELERATED AND TRUCK STARTED TO JUMP AND ACCELERATE BACKWARDS AS THE DRIVER TRIED TO EXIT AND HIT PARKED VEHICLE BEHIND TRUCK. ONLY WAY TO STOP THE VIEHICLE WAS TO TURN ENGINE OFF AS IT WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK EVEN THOUGH GEARSHIFTER WAS IN PARK POSITION THE SUDDEN ACCELERATION WAS NOT A PEDAL CONFUSION. BRAKE SKID MARKS WERE EVIDENT ON THE CONCRETE IN THE DRIVEWAY.

1.) F150 SUPERCAB DRIFTS ERRATICALLY. FORD HAS ALIGNED VEHICLE TWICE, BUT ISSUE REMAINS. FEELS LIKE TRUCK IS IN A HIGH-WIND ENVIRONMENT, BUT IT IS A CALM DAY. TRUCK WILL VEER OFF ROAD UNLESS EXTREME CARE IS EXERCISED. 2.) TRANSMISSION LUGS ON ACCELERATION, PARTICULARLY @ 1100RPM AND 38MPH. 3.) HARD "CLUNK/THUMP" SENSATION AT LOW SPEEDS, CAUSING SEVERE "WHIP-LASH" ACTION TO OCCUPANTS OF VEHICLE. 4.)WHEN TAKING SLOW LEFT TURN UP A STEEP INCLINE THE TRUCK LUGS AND TRANSMISSION FEEL LIKE IT IS SLIPPING AND UNABLE TO DOWNSHIFT, CAUSING A SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER AND MOMENTUM. 5.) ENGINE STALLS WHEN LEAVING STOP LIGHT. DASH LIGHTS COME ON SAYING" AUTO STARTSTOP SHIFT TO P, THEN RESTART ENGINE."THIS IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION. I AM ATTACHING A PICTURE OF THE DASHBOARD ERROR. PLEASE NOTICE I AM STILL IN "D" DRIVE WHEN THIS MESSAGE CAME UP.

PARKED IN A GAS STATION PARKING SPOT. I PUT THE TRUCK INTO PARK AND LEFT THE VEHICLE ON FOR THE FAMILY. I TOOK ONE OF MY CHILDREN INTO THE STORE. MY WIFE OPENS HER PASSENGER DOOR AND STEPPED OUT TO PICK UP A LITTLE MESS. WHILE IN PARK THE TRUCK MOVED FORWARD A BIT AND STARTED TO ROLL BACK. SOMEHOW THE TRUCK WAS IN PARK OR SHOWED IT WAS IN PARK (IT DIDNT MOVE WHEN I LET OFF THE BRAKE PRIOR TO GETTING OUT OR AS I GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK). AFTER STRUGGLING FROM OUTSIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THE TRUCK ROLLING BACK ABOUT 50 FEET, MY WIFE MANAGED TO GET THE SHIFTER INTO PARK (AGAIN). THE PASSENGER DOOR HIT A CONCRETE POST AND OPENED THE DOOR BEYOND WHAT THE HINGES ALLOW

DANGER!! POTENTIAL EXTREME INJURY OR DEATH POSSIBLE. THESE ISSUES MUST BE ADDRESSED BY FORD. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ENGINE ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN WHEN IN REVERSE. BRAKING: WOULD SLOW DOWN BUT WILL ACCELERATE WHEN BRAKE WAS RELEASED UPON REVERSE. UPON REVERSING UP AN UPHILL LOCAL SIDE STREET DRIVEWAY, BRAKING, AND RELEASING THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED IN LESS THAN ONE SECOND AT A TREMENDOUS SPEED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PUT INTO DRIVE FROM REVERSE, THE ENGINE CREATED A HIGH-PITCHED WHINING SOUND. HAD THERE BEEN THE CHILDREN IN THE DRIVEWAY, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THERE IS ALSO A WHINING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE WHEN IT IS RUNNING. CHANGING GEAR FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE: ENGINE CREATES A HIGH-PITCHED WHINING SOUND REVERSE UP A SLIGHT HILL: REVERSING UP A SMALL HILL IMMENSELY ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN. WE NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP WHEN WE RECEIVED THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WAS NOT CORRECTED.
