Vehicle continues to slip with the transmission and also lose power. I took it to FORD to get it checked out, and they provided the code of p07f7. From what I've read online, this isn't the first time this has happened and their transmission are very faulty. The vehicle will downshift from whichever gear to 1st, and nearly causing multiple wrecks. The wrench light is the only thing that will come on to notify of the problem.

Pinion bearing failure at 42000 miles. Lucky that I am a former Ford tech and currently a parts manager at a different manufacture, I knew what the noise was and was able to fix it before there was a bad accident. If that bearing had seized it could have locked up the rear wheels or had the driveshaft come loose. This has happen with extremely low miles for this model of differential and I am reporting in the event it is becoming a concern with other individuals.

Taking the truck to a shop to confirm the issue but out of the blue the transmission isn't shifting or jumps into wrong gear and get stuck. Truck only has 79k miles on it and has been well taken care off. Just has to place wheel bearings last Saturday just strange after that now there's another issue.

A CAM Phaser in the timing chain area is failing. Apparently the oil is not able to stay on that area and drains out. The symptom is a severe rattle on start up. Since it's part of the power train a failure in this part could result in an engine failure. It is a safety issue if this happens and causes a sudden loss of power at freeway speeds. Ford has repaired many of these as part of some program I do not know its name. However Ford has stopped repairing them.

The 10-speed transmission in my 2018 ford f150 shifts erratically causing a huge safety concern for myself and passengers. Pulling out onto highways and crossing intersections have become increasing dangerous when my truck doesn’t shift and essentially stalls in the middle of oncoming and crossing traffic. This is a known concern with these transmissions and the service bulletins issued by ford to “fix” these problems have not done so. This truck and its faulty transmission is a danger to my family and others on the roadway and needs to be fixed.

On several occasions the truck engine started to sound noisy, metal clicking when running. l checked the oil and found it was down several quarts of oil. This has happened several times despite my checking. No leak. Usually down one quart but sometimes down 5 or 6 quarts. The engine doesn't start sometimes and has no power on other times. I brought it to a Ford dealer and told him that it was burning a lot of oil and he changed oil and filter, he replaced the air filter and spark plugs and checked the top of cylinders, he did an "induction service" and said to have it done again in 1,000 miles. Total cost $1,265.50. He also mentioned (not on the bill) that I may need a new engine. No sign of leaking and it looses oil faster than I can check.

Vehicle has 10 speed transmission with shifting problems. Erratic shifting (1st to 10th), shifts in between to neutral with very high rpms. Clunking in between shifts. Dangerous to drive as it shifts to neutral while driving. Dash warning lights appear and several codes regarding transmission failure noted. At ford dealer now. They are recommending replacement. This appears to be a common problem with ford 10 speed transmission

The Transmission in my 2018 F150 has failed. I recently returned from deployment and begin to start driving my truck again from being in storage with minimal driving done to it while I was away to find out that the transmission had begin to slip gears, loose power, make sudden stalls while driving and shift erratically while traveling. While commuting to work pulling out from a dead stop the vehicle has stalled a number of times living me in the cross of oncoming traffic of speeds of 50+ MPH. The truck is currently in the shop and Ford diagnosed it as a bad transmission that needs to be replace. There were no warning lights until the transmission failed completely.

Transmission causing harsh shifts, random shifting and complete failure in the middle of the road. It is available for inspection at any given time. These transmission issues have left me stranded at red lights, in the middle of intersections, and on interstate highways and have become a major safety hazard for myself and those around me on the road. Two men from Bob Ruth Ford in Dillsburg, PA diagnosed that there was an error code for a bad solenoid. Another local independent garage mechanic said that likely meant I need a new valve body. The only warnings I’ve gotten until recent when failure occurs was a “see manual” notification on occasion. Twice within the last week I’ve also received a check engine light immediately after failure. This vehicle only has 61,000 miles on it.

Engine makes awful rattling and consumption of oil is ridiculous even after I had them supposedly fix problem which was change the dipstick and reprogram the PCM I believe that's it and now the rear end is being changed for the 2nd time in a year. All the oil is still being consumed somewhere no leaks and my engine shakes and bogs and makes noises like driving a standard. Transmission is lacking on shifting and hard shifting for sure. It needs to be on a recall to fix transmission and engine issues. I barely got 87k and I got it at 56k and I have had all this crap. Done with it.

Transmission. It slips and jumps gears, lags, doesn't engage from a stop for a few seconds, downshifts itself while driving down the highway, at parking lot speeds the engine will rev up and lurch forward. It has been inspected by a local dealership and confirmed that there is an internal problem and recommended new transmission for $7500. They have been in contact with Ford Co, as have I, making a formal complaint which Ford is not owning the problem completely. The truck has 53,000 miles on it with perfect maintenance records. Safety issue is that the truck downshifts at highway speed. Rev's and jumps in parking lots which could cause an accident or worse...strike a pedestrian. The truck lags from a stop which could be dangerous when pulling into traffic. This is a documented issue with Ford vehicles, mostly in the 3.5 eco-boost 10 speed trucks but I believe in possibly some of their others. From day 1 of ownership I noticed something odd which I made it known to the dealership when it went in for service on several occasions. The dealer could never duplicate the issue. In November 2023 the issue got very bad with all that was mentioned in the opening sentence. The dealership had confirmed that there are issues with this truck/transmission and they have a service bulletin on the issues. There are multiple Ford forums online with people who all have the same issue with this truck/transmission. There haven't been any warning lamps to indicate but as mentioned this has been a problem since the purchase and now although it's marginally drivable, the issue has become significant and dangerous. The date below was from the time I have an email documenting the issue to the dealership. As mentioned, it was an ongoing issue to lesser degree but the larger failure started in Mid November 2023. That puts me about 4-5 months outside of my 5 year warranty but inside my 60K. Regarding Documentation below: Anything of value has been on the phone.

1) My 2017/2018 Ford F-150 has had numerous mechanical issues since I purchased it in May of 2018. The issues were initially repaired by the "dealer" as it was under either factory or extended warranty. The most note worthy issues, which is the purpose of my correspondence as it potentially could lead to a vehicle fire, is the leakage of oil from the oil pan (second time being repaired) and the driver's side valve cover (first time). The issues are reportedly caused, says Ford, due to faulty material used in the gasket of the oil pan and poor material used in the manufacturing of the valve cover (leading to cracking and subsequent oil leakage). These issues, if not repaired at great cost, can result in a vehicle fire. 2) No fire has been experienced nor has the vehicle been examined by an independent mechanic. 3) The only warning I had of a mechanical problem with the engine, again, was oil droplets on my driveway. There was no indication of the faulty driver's side engine valve cover until the Ford mechanic brought it to my attention just this week. It is unknown how long the valve cover has been leaky oil on the top of the engine. 4) My vehicle is currently at the Ford dealership as the necessary repairs at great expense are being conducted.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while exiting the garage, the vehicle hesitated and bucked. While driving, the vehicle shifted into first, second, third, and fourth gears and started to hesitate; then downshifted to first gear. There was an abnormal winding noise detected. The vehicle was skipping gears. Upon accelerating, the vehicle was stuck in sixth gear. Additionally, while driving, the vehicle lost motive power. There were no warning lights illuminated. The message “See Your Manual” was displayed. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact called an independent mechanic and was informed about a diagnostic test. The transmission was drained, and a transmission flush was performed. There was a transmission code displayed: P2702-00 transmission friction element; see time range performance, not currant DCT. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000. The VIN was not available.

I own a 2018 ford f150 vin# [XXX] with 44000 miles the vehicle have a problem with the 10 speed transmission it has a hard upshift from 4th to 5th gear. And sometimes when it downshifts. The truck currently has 75xxx miles on it. I've had it in at the dealership before for transmission issues. The repairs/fix they did lasted for a while before the same problems came back. It started as rough shifting/jerking. Recently the truck will, when accelerating, jump out of gear completely while indicating on the dash that it is in gear, and the engine will rev up on its own (up to 3500 rpm) for several seconds before violently jerking into gear. I worry that the engine may try to rev up while actually in gear and cause rapid acceleration and possibly an accident if it's unable to be stopped in time.

Vehicle transmission is shifting hard and often time slipping. Causing us to lose power until it finally gets into gear. It's nearly caused us accidents due to the sudden loss of power. It is available for inspection. We live in an area with high traffic tourist volume and has caused us multiple near accidents. It has been checked by a mechanic. The code thrown every time was P0732. The code was thrown the first time it did it 2 weeks ago.
