I have been having trouble with my car for a while where it, most of the time, won’t start on the first try. I’ve been to my dealership multiple times and it just seems as if my car is declining after each session. I can’t even remote start my vehicle anymore. There will be times where I am stopped for a period of time and my car will stall and/or glitch out. The Stability Control and Electric Park Brake Trouble Indicators will come on as well as the Anti-lock Brake System Fault and Electric Power Steering Fault Indicators…All at the same time. I will be looking around for Auto Shops that I trust but later down the line, if there is no breakthrough, I will buy another vehicle.

I WAS DRIVING TOWARDS AN INTERSECTION TO MERGE RIGHT ONTO THE MAIN HIGHWAY WHEN I WAS IN MOTION STILL MY CAR SHUT OFF AND SAID 'SHIFT TO P' WHEN I DID SO IT WOULDN'T RESTART. THE STEERING LOCKED UP AND I COULDN'T MOVE. IT DID NOT GIVE ME ANY WARNING OR SIGN IT WAS GOING TO DO SO. I HAD ALMOST PULLED OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY TOO. THE RADIO AND EVERYTHING WORKED JUST FINE. THIS HAPPENED ONCE LAST YEAR ON A CURVY TWO LANE HIGHWAY AND I GOT LUCKY THAT I HAD A TURN OFF WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY APPARENTLY RESET THE SYSTEM AND IT HAS BEEN GOOD SINCE. IT'S NOT THE ALTERNATOR AND IT IS NOT THE BATTERY. WE RULED THAT OUT THEN. JUMPING IT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2017 Chrysler 200 verdict →
