My rear passenger sliding door doesn't lock. My rear driver sliding door won't open. This is a safety problem if I was ever in a wreck and couldn't get my Grandaughter out the door due to her being in a car seat. This is a serious safety issue. If the car caught fire you would put someone in grave danger if they were in the back seats and the door wouldn't open. This is a huge problem with these vehicles and I don't think we should have to pay for it, Chrysler should.

Chrysler is aware that they have a faulty engine oil filter adapter in many of their automobiles but are refusing to do a recall to address the issue. Mine finally began leaking just a couple drops on the cement no warning light. Brought it into the shop and was confirmed that the adapter was leaking ALOT whole engine was covered. This could have led to my car seizing up on the highway without a warning light at all!

Oil leakage. I’ve read numerous reports online with the same year make and model about oil leakage we bought this car used without doing and research first just because we needed a car. And when I notice the oil leak I’ve been doing research and a lot of people have had the same problem causing people to spend ALOT of money to fix it which could have been prevented.

On 9/29/23 while traveling on Rt. 17 West in the Town of Goshen, NY my vehicle experienced an unexpected loss of motive power. The vehicle was towed to the Chrysler dealership I purchased it from in Newburgh, NY and diagnosed with multiple trans failures requiring a new transmission. My husband contacted Chrysler Customer Service 800-992-1997. There is a recall S44 on 2015/2016 Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country vehicles with 3.6L engine - code ERB and an automatic transaxle - code DG2 built from July 31, 2015 thru April 18, 2016. Chrysler Customer Service said there is no recall on my vehicle and recalls are based on the VIN. Recall S44 - The transaxle oil pump may experience a loss of hydraulic oil pressure due to an improperly manufactured transaxle oil pump. A loss of transaxle hydraulic oil pressure while driving will result in a loss of motive power and could cause a crash without warning. This is what I experienced when my failure occurred. I spoke to one of the service managers at the dealership's repair shop and he gave me the following information on my vehicle: Build Date: 2/19/2016 In Service Date: 3/1/2016 Engine Code: ERB Transaxle Code: DG2 The complaint I filed with Chrysler is closed - Case# [XXX]. They were not going to do anything to help us. I have owned a Dodge Grand Caravan, and 2 Town and Countries over the span of 20 years while raising my 3 children and I still drive one to this day. The build date, engine code, and transaxle code all fall within the guidelines of the recall, but Chrysler told us it does not qualify for recall repair. I have incurred the following expenses due to this failure: Towing to dealership - $281 Car Rental, 7 days - $526 New Transmission - $6841 Total expenses - $7648 Please investigate this for Recall S44. Attached please find the recall, and receipts for repair and related expenses totaling $7648. Thank you for your consideration to this matter. Defective door-latching system; in particular: the driver side, (left side), passengers sliding door; which resulted in occupant being trapped in vehicle until we were able to extricate through other door. There is a pending class action lawsuit regarding this defect: UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF MICHIGAN Case 2:21-cv-11696-JEL-DRG; failure occurred with no warning and does not allow for manual operation of the door system. This defect poses an extreme safety hazard, as it is possible that both passenger doors could be affected, essentially trapping the occupants in the mid and rear seating compartments.

Entered the highway and attempted to accelerate and bring car up to speed to match other cars. Car reached 55 mph but could not go faster and did not shift into higher gear. Noticed a high pitch noised coming from engine compartment. Over the course of a few hours the car would lag when shifting into reverse and would lurch forward when it did kick in. The car was taken to NAPA for a diagnostic where they diagnosed a problem with the transmission and that the car had transferred into "limp" mode. We were informed by Jet Automotive the transmission requires an overhaul.

While driving today the vehicle stopped shifting and the check engine light turned on. When I pressed the gas pedal the RPM gauge would go to 4 or 5 but the vehicle wouldn’t move initially. It jolted forward after a few seconds of pressing the gas. Because I had my children in the vehicle, I slowly drove to the garage I see regularly. They checked the code and with that revealed it was something to do with the transmission fluid pressure and the power steering pump.

While driving my vehicle my driver's side headrest exploded without being in an accident. I received no warning from Chrysler about the headrests being faulty. They left driving that unsafe vehicle with the exploded headrest for over 7 months this before replacing it and refuse to replace the passenger one as well stating, "we will only replace that if it explodes during the extended warranty period for it and yours is almost up." They currently still have my vehicle at the dealership. They clearly want to see a car accident occur knowing that headrest could go off at any moment and was made and installed the sane time as the drivers side.

Both Passenger rear doors will not open. It is available for inspection. My passengers had to crawl over the rear seat to exit the vehicle. If for instance there had been a fire or an accident they may or may not be able to get out safely. Yes I have taken it to two dealers who wanted $ 3,000.00 to repair them. No warning lamps. No messages. They actually began closing on my passengers while trying to enter the car. The back hatch door is also presenting issues as it opens randomly mostly after a rain storm. It will also begin to close on us while we are putting our groceries into the back.
