I took my Nissan rouge in September 2021 to a mechanic to check my car. I explained I was driving to From Tampa to Orlando in the i-4 and I could. Or accelerate, the car speed stayed at 40 mph speed , and not going more than that. I had to pull over because my car was almost wanting to shut off. Very scary situation. After my mechanic checked my vehicle, he advised me that my transmission was faulty and that I should not drive it far distance as I did. The worst part is that my Nissan never gave me any warning of the issue. My mechanic gave me a price of over $3000,which I could not afford. Now I have a car that has a bad transmission and no money to fix it.

Vehicle while on expressway would loose power on and off. This cause for serious accident conditions. Transmission yellow warning light appeared on next day. Had vehicle towed to dealership and they confirmed there was an issue found extreme hesitstion entering gear or changing gear. From multiple codes P0841 fluided press sen/sw A. P17F0 CVT Judder. Also, found front sway bar link loose and replaced. And, Tie rods had to be replaced also because of being loose. Previously I also had to have the control arms replace twice. This is unacceptable. Beside that my vehicle was in shop from 8/9/2021 thru 8/26/202. without even to have rental car provided. except for 2 days.

Vehicle will not accelerate or shift even though the gas pedal is pushed all the way to the floor . Almost been hit multiple times because of this issue. Comes with no warning the car will drive fine and then randomly the rpms go all the way up and will not accelerate or shift. Tried taking it to multiple mechanics and the problem can’t be fixed except by replacing the transmission.

CVT Transmission. Started jerking going down the highway and the all of a sudden won’t move. No gears work. Car will not move at all. I know the 2014-2016 Rogues have had a big issue.

the car loses power going uphill, or trying to accelerate. Just the other day it RMP just went to 15 miles per hour and had to pull over. I'm told it could be my transmission. I am not sure

I HAVE A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE SELECT WITH 72,000 MILES. IT SHUDDERS/JERKS INTERMITTENTLY DURING IDLE AT DRIVE MODE EVEN WHEN AC AND FAN ARE OFF. I DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY HOW FAR I AM FROM TRANSMISSION FAILURE. EARLIER THE CAR HAD A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE AT 38000 MILES AND IT WAS REPLACED UNDER THE NISSAN WARRANTY. TODAY I WENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND THEY FOUND THAT THE CV AXLE OF THE RIGHT FRONT IS DAMAGED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE RPM WENT UP TO 4,000 AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. AT SLOWER SPEEDS, THERE IS A SHUDDER OR VIBRATION AND A LACK OF POWER/ACCELERATION. AN INSPECTION BY A TRANSMISSION SHOP INDICATED CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURE. RESEARCH INDICATES A LONG HISTORY OF NISSAN CVT PROBLEMS. THE COST TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION IS $4,000.

BOUGHT USED CAR ON MARCH 14, 2021. SELLER DROVE CAR TO MY HOME. AFTER A TEST DRIVE THE SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND SPEED WAS LOW. I DROVE THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC REPAIR AND WAS TOLD THAT IT NEEDS A COMPLETE TRANSMISSION TO BE REPLACED. SELLER DON'T WANT TO REFUND OUR MONEY.

DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER 2014 ROGUE WITH 64,000 MILES ON IT TO COLLEGE OVER 800 MILES AWAY WHEN IT KEPT JOLTING AND CAUSING A RISE IN THE RPMS. CAR WOULD DECELERATE FROM 65 MPH TO 40 MPH WHILE GOING UP AND DOWN HILLS OR TRYING TO PASS SEMIS ON THE HIGHWAY. FINALLY HAD TO DRIVE 40 MPH TO THE NEAREST TOWN WITH A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND LEAVE VEHICLE THERE AND GET A RENTAL CAR TO DRIVE THE REST OF THE WAY TO COLLEGE. NISSAN SERVICE DEPARTMENT CALLED AND SAID SHE NEEDS AN ENTIRELY NEW TRANSMISSION AT ONLY 64K MILES. THIS IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS, AND NOT JUST ON THE SENTRA AND VERSA. NISSAN SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM ACROSS THE BOARD YET HAVE FAILED TO RECALL AND/OR EXTEND THE WARRANTY ON ALL MODELS WITH THE SAME CVT TRANSMISSION ISSUES. MY DAUGHTER COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. NOW WE ARE FORCED TO PAY $4200 TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION OR LEAVE HER STRANDED AT COLLEGE WITHOUT A VEHICLE.

THIS HAPPENED ON 3 OCCASIONS BEFORE I TOOK THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. WHILE DRIVING (TWICE ON THE FREEWAY AND ONCE ON SURFACE STREETS) THE THE CAR BEGAN TO ABRUPTLY LOOSE/DECREASE SPEED DESPITE MY ATTEMPT AT MAINTAINING SPEED BY ACCELERATING, THE CAR'S RPM METER BEGAN ACTING ERRATICALLY, AND THE ENGINE BEGAN MAKING A SOUND AS IF STRUGGLING. IN ALL CASES I HAD TO PUT ON MY HAZARDS, MOVE OVER/PULL OVER AND I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF IN HOPES THAT IT WOULD "RESET." WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THE NISSAN DEALER I WAS TOLD MY TRANSMISSION WAS OVERHEATING REPEATEDLY AND FAILING INTO A SAFE MODE. THEY SAID THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE NISSAN CVT (ROGUES) AND REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM UNLESS A TRANSMISSION COOLER SYSTEM WAS ADDED TO FIX THE ISSUE. I WAS TOLD A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN EXISTED AS IT WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM BUT WE WERE NEVER MADE AWARE OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE. INSTEAD OF NISSAN PROACTIVELY LETTING CUSTOMERS KNOW THIS SO THAT WE COULD FIX IT OR ISSUE A RECALL TO PREVENT UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS THEY JUST IGNORED IT. I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHICH I DID AND SPOKE WITH A WOMAN NAMED "LAURA" WHO AGREED TO PAY FOR A PORTION OF THE REPAIR (70%) BUT WOULD NOT SEND ANYTHING IN WRITING, GIVE ME HER LAST NAME OR DOCUMENT THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND SAFETY HAZARD. SHE STATED THAT THEY WERE AT NO OBLIGATION TO EITHER BE PROACTIVE OR COVER THE FULL COST OF THE ADDITIONAL COOLING SYSTEM AS THERE WAS NO RECALL IN PLACE.

CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE AFTER STOPPING AND TRYING TO YIELD TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR TURN AT A STOP SIGN. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN DECIDE TO GO AND THE RPM GOES UP REALLY HIGH.

CAR DROVE FINE THEN IN THE MIDDLE OF GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CHECK CODE IT WAS P1778 FOR STEPPER MOTOR. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 87000 MILES ON IT. BROUGHT TO A TRANSMISSION STOP TO REPLACE THE VALVE BODY TO HAVE A NEW STEPPER MOTOR. HAD THE PART PUT IN TO FIND OUT THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION FAILED. WE COULD'VE BEEN KILLED IN THE BUSY INTERSECTION WITH THIS HAPPENING WITHOUT WARNING.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN 2018 AND WITHIN A FEW WEEKS HAD ISSUES OF THE ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON, I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT THEY WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE, I BROUGHT IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THEY REPLACED A SENSOR BUT DID NOT BELIEVE IT WAS THE ISSUE, THE LIGHT WENT OFF AND ON A FEW TIMES, THE FORMAN OF THE SHOP WAS ON VACATION AND WAS GOING TO CHECK THE VEHICLE OUT WHEN BACK, THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT AND REMAINED OUT SO HE NEVER LOOKED AT IT. ON OCTOBER 29TH MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY VEHICLE HAS QUICKLY BEGAN TO BUCK AND FEEL LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM THE ENTIRE SEAL OF MY WINDSHIELD COMING OFF AND HAVING TO HAVE THE ENTIRE WINSHIELD REPLACED ONLY TO HAVE THE SEAL AROUND IT BEGIN TO COME OFF AGAIN WITHIN 2 MONTHS, MY TAILGATE HAS COMPLETELY DIED AND WILL NOT WORK ON MANUAL OR POWER, WATER LEAKS IN AND THE CARPETS GET WET. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT ONGOING ISSUES SINCE I PURCHASED IT.

THE POWER OF THE CAR DECREASES WHEN DRIVEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME OR WHEN DRIVING UPHILL CLIMBS DURING TRAVELING DISTANCES. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CAR REDUCES SPEED TO APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH. WHEN A DESTINATION IS REACHED AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF DRIVING IE;STOPLIGHT AT FREEWAY EXIT, CAR HAS NO POWER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIME OVER THE PAST YEAR. LAST TIMES WERE 7/19 & 26/2020.

WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE, MY 2014 NISSAN ROGUE WOULD REV AND THE RPM'S WOULD SURGE UNEXPECTEDLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. WHILE DRIVING IT WOULD RANDOMLY JERK, SHUDDER, AND HESITATE. WE EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN LOSS OF ACCELERATION LEADING PREMATURE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DID NOT COME ON UNTIL THE CAR LOST THE ACCELERATION CAPABILITY. THIS PUT US IN GREAT DANGER BEING THAT WE BARELY MADE IT ONTO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. MY CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO NISSAN AND SINCE I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED.
