I push my start button and it makes the starting nose and after a few minutes it starts and when I go to move it stalls out and then won't start again or starts and stalls again. But the next day drives fine. And it has been happening now for months even after we fixed the high rich codes it was giving out but now there's no codes appearing.

Car has always performed a good cold start. But, after running a while, the following has happened, and is happening more frequently: run the car, park, and then restarting after several minutes, I have put it in gear and the engine sputters and stalls. Then has to turn over several times to restart. This has also happened after running for a while and then stopping at a long red-light, engine sputtered and stalled. Also happens when engine is warmed up and sitting still, just idling. Sputtered and stalls. With always the same result on restart, has to turn over, and over, several times. These incidences are identical to the problems described in Safety Recall Notice 16S31, which includes various other ford's and lincolns(mks, mkt) of years 2013-2015, but leaves out the mkz.

VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES, BOTH ON CITY STREETS AND ON THE HIGHWAY. THE DATE CHOSEN FOR WHEN THIS HAPPENED WAS THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED. THE BATTERY WILL NOT KEEP A CHARGE AND A CERTIFIED MECHANIC HAS HAD THE CAR FOR 2 WEEKS AND CAN NOT LOCATE THE REASON THE BATTERY DRAINS COMPLETELY WITHIN 8 HOURS.

UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE ORDER DRIVE IN LOW SPEED OR GETTING INTO GEAR THE CAR SPUTTERS. IT STALLS AND POWERS OFF, CREATING A HAZARD. IT IS BEGINNING TO HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY. IT WILL ACT AS IF IT IS NOT RECEIVING FUEL AND IT MAKES ME RESTART IT. MOST OCCURS IN PARKING LOTS OR DRIVEWAYS.

VEHICLE SUDDENLY DIES WHEN DRIVING WITHOUT WARNING. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ONE MONTH AGO. BROUGT IT TO THE DEALER FOR THE BOLT RECALL AND STALLED WHILE DEALER WAS TRYING TO PULL IT INTO THE BAY. AFTER THAT POINT, THE VEHICLE DIED WHILE DRIVNG ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. WENT TO THE MECHANIC ONE TWO OCCASIONS AND NO CODES PULLED. CALLED DEALER AND THEY SAID I NEEDED TO GO TO A FORD DEALER. WENT TO FORD DEALER ONE CODE PULLED (FUEL INJECTOR) WAS REPLACED RECOMMENDED I CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND REPLACE BATTERY WHICH I AGREED TO. FORTY MINUTES AFTER LEAVING DEALER AS I WAS OULLING OUT OF A PARKIGN LOT THE CAR SUDDENLY DIED AGAIN ALMOST CAUSING ME TO BE HIT BY A BOX TRUCK BEHIND ME. THE CAR IS BACK AT THE DEALER AND ONCE AGAIN NO CODES ARE COMING UP AND THEY SAID THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. WENT ONTO MKZ FORUMS AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM NOT ADDRESSED WHICH IS CAUSING A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY CONCERN FOR BOTH MYSELF AND OTHERS SINCE THERE ARE NO ANSWERS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING.

MY MPG EXPERIENCE TO DATE HAS BEEN IN THE 14-17 MPG RANGE. COPIES OF THREE TANK REFILL GAS RECEIPTS SHOWING ODOMETER MPG READINGS ARE ATTACHED. I AM 81 YEARS OLD AND A CONSERVATIVE DRIVER THAT NEITHER DRIVES AT HIGH SPEEDS NOR RUSHES FORWARD OUT OF STOPS. LINCOLN AND DEALER ADVERTISE 21 MPG IN CITY DRIVING. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY CERTIFIED PERFORMANCE IN THE 15 MPG AREA. ( COPY ATTACHED) . I HAVE ALSO CORRESPONDED WITH LINCOLN. COPY THEIR LAST LETTER STATING THAT THEY WOULD REPLY TO STATING THAT THEY "WERE NOT ABLE TO BE OF FURTHER ASSISTANCE " - IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO HELP? ABOVE IS FIRST TIME NOTED. CAR WILL GO INTO GEAR ON ITS OWN (WHEN THE GREEN BLINKING, OR ACCESSORY LIGHT IS ON CAR'S ENGINE IS NOT ON & NO BRAKE PEDAL PUSHED). THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH ME OUT OF CAR, OTHER PASSENGERS IN CAR, VALET MOVING CAR FOR ME),,,,,,THIS IS "DRIVING MISS DAISEY" WITHOUT A MORGAN FREEMAN (CHAUFER). CAR WILL ROLL ON ITS OWN. INTO DEALER 3 TIMES BUT NOT FIXED. DANGEROUS CAR. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS IN "PARK" OR ACCESSORY MODE (BLINKING GREEN LIGHT" & NO FOOT ON BRAKE AND NO ATTEMPT TO START CAR....JUST USING ACCESSORY (I.E. TO ROLL DOWN WINDOW). IT HAPPENS WITHOUT THE SOLID GREEN ICON LIGHT ON (OR READY TO DRIVE) AND WIT NO FOOT ON BRAKE PEDAL. *TR

CAR ROLLS ON ITS OWN WITHOUT DEPRESSING BRAKE OR ENGAGING ANY GEAR. VEHICLE HAS DONE THIS ABOUT 5 TIMES IN PAST 6 MONTHS AND TWICE IN THE LAST 6 WEEKS. CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS AT "ANY SPEED" SINCE IT "RUNS" ON ITS OWN. FORD SHOULD RENAME THIS MKZ HYBRID VEHICLE EITHER: DMD FOR "DRIVING MISS DAISY" OR UAS FOR "UNSAFE AT ZERO" PUF FOR "PURE UNADULTERATED FICTION" FORD HAS LIED ABOUT CAR PERFORMANCE (ADVERTISED 45 MPG CITY + HIGHWAY FOR BOTH 2013 & 2014 HYBRID MODELS) WHEN I ONLY GET ABOUT 60% OF THAT - 28 MPG (DOCUMENTED) IN ORDER TO GAIN MARKET SHARE (HYBRIDS ESP. LEXUS). FORD BLAMES ITS OWN WIND TUNNEL TESTS FOR OVERSTATED MPG (MAYBE TESTED WITH HURRICANE SANDY AT THEIR BACK). NOW, THIS CAR DRIVES ITSELF, A NICE SAFETY FEATURE HUH ? AND, FORD NEVER ISSUED ME ANY RECALL ON ITS UNIQUE "INVISIBLE CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN" VEHICLE. *TR

INCIDENT 1: WHILE FILLING GAS TANK I LEFT THE HOSE UNATTENDED WHILE I WAITED INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE PRESSURE IN THE TANK FROM FILLING THE VEHICLE WAS ENOUGH TO PUSH THE GAS SPOUT OUT OF THE TANK. AS A RESULT ABOUT 3 GALLONS OF FUEL SPILLED ON THE FLOOR. INCIDENT2: WHILE FILLING GAS TANK I WAS STANDING OVER THE HOSE, NOT HOLDING THE HANDLE. I WAS WAITING TO FILL UP THE VEHICLE. I WITNESSED THE SPOUT POP OUT OF THE GAS TANK AND GASOLINE SPILLED ON MY SHIRT, PANTS AND SHOES. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE WITH ANY VEHICLE. IT SEEMS IT NEEDS SOME SORT OR PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE SO THAT IT DOESN'T EJECT THE GASOLINE HOSE AND SPOUT SO VIOLENTLY. THE IN INDENTS HAPPENED TWO WEEKS APART. *TR
