I was Getting on I-95 N from Benson, NC with speed limit of 70mph. While I was still accelerating and just merged in traffic, going about 65-70mph, my 2014 F250 started doing the death wobble. The section of highway I was on has no shoulder or anywhere to pull off because they are doing construction on the shoulder and have concrete blocks maybe 6inches past the line. So I had no choice but to put on my brakes hard and slow down until the shaking stopped, which was bout 15-20mph. I’m very lucky I wasn’t rear ended or in an accident because of the death wobble. My 12 week old baby girl was also with me in the truck at the time

RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR, ACCORDING TO FORD DEALER THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH ALL THE TRUCKS IF THE OWNER'S DO NOT USE THE DOORS ALL THE TIME. IT IS A $300.00 PART PLUS LABOR, IF FORD KNOWS ABOUT IT THEN THEY SHOULD RECALL AND FIX THE ISSUE. I OPENED THE RIGHT REAR DOOR TO PUT GROCERIES IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE TRUCK AND THE LIGHT ON THE DASH CAME ON, WHEN IT IS ON THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON FOR 12 MINUTES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF AND THE RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON THE DASHBOARD.

DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT. LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF, INTERIOR LIGHTS AS WELL AS HEADLIGHTS CAME ON SPORADICALLY WHEN MOTOR WAS NOT RUNNING. HEADLIGHTS CAME ON WHEN THE TRUCK WAS NOT RUNNING OR OCCUPIED AND THIS CAUSED ALL POWER TO DRAIN FROM THE BATTERY. DEALER CHARGED OVER $300. TO REPAIR DOOR LATCH / SWITCH ASSEMBLY ON DRIVER SIDE. THIS OCCURRED OCTOBER 1, 2016. OUR LOCAL PAPER HAD AN ARTICLE OCTOBER 4 INDICATING A COMING RECALL ON FORD EDGE SUV'S 2011 TO 2013 AND THE FORD FUSION FROM 2010. I FEEL THESE PROBLEMS ARE RELATED.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2014 Ford F-250 Supercab verdict →
