This car, along with millions of others, are under a recall since Sept 2023. The car could catch on fire even when parked. They have not come up with a fix. I feel that this is an extreme danger to not only myself and my property, but to others living around me. They are taking way too long for a fix to be determined and the work to be done.

Hyundai is saying I can’t park or drive without concern of a fire hazard. Hyundai was called and they said a remedy would be available by the end of the month. That was said in November and now it is the middle of January. I need a vehicle for everyday life and this is getting costly for me. Usually a remedy is to be resolved within a reasonable time, two weeks on average, contractually speaking. Please resolve this problem immediately.

the abs light stays on no matter what ive tried resetting it and everything and it wont work, the electrical system in the car sometimes doesnt work properly this regarding the headlights and interior buttons, the transmission on the car since i have bought it has a really dangerous kick back on it in the transmission jolts the car really hard to the point its dangerous to drive on dry and rainy days because the tires will lose traction and i will have to get the traction back under control due to the kick back in this transmsion problem it has caused the engine to give out also.

My car was robbed. It was robbed because the door lock was broken into, and the ignition was started with a USB cord (the "Kia Boys" tiktok challenge). When my car was recovered the engine was also damaged, necessitating deep engine repairs that I could not afford. My insurance hasn't agreed to cover it despite Comprehensive coverage.

DRIVING LESS THAN 3000 MILES SINCE PURCHASED (74,000) - THE VEHICLE HAS POWERED DOWN/ENGINE SHUT 4 TIMES WHILE STOPPED AT A LIGHT ATTEMPTING TO TURN LEFT AND 1 TIME WHILE ACCELERATING UP A HILL. ALL 5 TIMES HAVE BEEN IN TOWN ROADS GOING UNDER 40 MILES PER HOUR OR AT A STOP. THE KEY HAS BEEN PLACED IN THE KEY INSERT EVERY TIME SO THERE WAS NO WAY FOR US TO BUMP IT WHILE DRIVING. IN ORDER TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO PLACE IT IN PARK AND POWER IT UP AGAIN. MOST RECENT HAPPENED TODAY SO WE ARE NOW FILING A COMPLAINT.

DRIVING THE VEHICLE DOWN A CITY STREET, IT SUDDENTLY BECAME NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. PULLED CAR OVER, AND IT FELT AS THOUGH THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. WE WERE WITHIN A MILE OF OUR HOUSE SO WE TOOK IT HOME AND PARKED IT. THE NEXT DAY WE CALLED A WRECKER TO TOW IT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT, THE PROBLEM WAS GONE, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULDN'T "REPLICATE" THE PROBLEM SO NOTHING WAS DONE TO STOP IT FROM OCCURING AGAIN. I'M NOT CERTAIN OF THE EXACT DATE BUT IT WAS THE END OF 2015 I BELIEVE. WE HAVE THE SERVICE RECORD.

AS LEAVING THE STORE, THE VEHICLE(A STANDARD) WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO ANY GEAR BESIDES REVERSE. THE LIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON. THE CAR WAS INITIALLY IN 1ST GEAR AND ROLLED BACKWARD WITH FOOT ON GAS AND CLUTCH. THE SEATBELT LIGHT KEPT DINGING AND FLASHING EVEN THOUGH THE SEATBELT WAS HOOKED IN. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED. THIS TIME IT OCCURRED AS WE WERE PULLING ONTO A HIGHWAY FROM A STORE. THE CAR HAD TO BE SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IF THERE WAS A CAR COMING, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT.

THREE ISSUES. ALL HAVE OCCURRED ONLY TWICE OR THREE TIMES IN TWO YEARS. LAST TIME I TOOK THE CAR TO DEALER BUT THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING SINCE NO "CODES" WERE STORED IN THE SYSTEM! 1. THE INFOTAINMENT DISPLAY PANEL GOES COMPLETELY DARK. RADIO STOPS AND ALL OTHER ACTIVITY AND CONTROL KNOBS BECOME NON-OPERATIONAL. JUST STOPPING AND RESTARTING THE CAR DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. BUT, BOTH TIMES, WHEN I HAVE RESTARTED THE CAR AFTER 30-45 MINUTES (E.G., AFTER SHOPPING, OR RETURNING FROM AIRPORT), EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL. 2. SOMETIMES (AGAIN INFREQUENT) WHEN USING THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM, ALL COLORS GO AWAY, SCREEN BECOMES DARKER, AND EVERYTHING DISPLAYS IN GRAY. BUT, WHEN I CHANGE THE DISPLAY SETTINGS FROM AUTO TO DAY, THE COLOR RETURNS. ALL OCCURRENCES WERE DURING DAYTIME DRIVING. 3. AGAIN, SOMETIMES, WHEN LISTENING TO RADIO, THE BRIGHTNESS ON THE DISPLAY CHANGES FROM EVENLY LIT DISPLAY OF THE DIAL, THE TWO ENDS BECOME DARKER - LIKE GETS DARK AND CLOUDY! *TR

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe verdict →
