No warning light. Rpm’s surge high, low then engine shuts off while driving or idle. I could be in the middle of an intersection and my engine will shut itself off. Major safety issue and this car needs to be recalled. Happens even after taking it to the dealer “fixing” the “problem.” I’m not sure they even know the issue. They just try replacing things for a short term fix yet still having issues long term.

The car would stop after the warning of over heating so the car would just shut down go into what is called limp mode was told that is to protect the engine so we was told that in order for them to check we first had to purchase ford parts to get it started which we did but about 30days later same problem took it back they charged me another fee to put on the diagnostic machine which we did. That still didn't take care of the problem this went on from April 2021 well in May received a recall for the coolant system on this car make and model made appt took it in well they failed at fixing this with the car having to be left there weeks at a time it is still there they couldn't repair it they now are saying it is the engine do we want it repaired I don't no how when they can't even fix what it was there for now all of a sudden it's on me and the agent that called first said the transmission they have no clue they are just trying not to be responsible for this car even towing company knows where to take the car I have been put down all over town. This has been a nightmare I am afraid of the car and no trust with the people that's fixing the recall because they don't know how.

Lug nuts on wheels are swollen and cannot be removed with the wrench provided with the vehicle. This prevented me from being able to remove my flat tire and install the spare. I was forced to drive the car with the deflated tire to a mechanic in order to get it forcefully removed. This represented a dangerous situation

2013 Ford Fusion 1.6 car system started to read low coolant level while driving parked. Checked level it was filled just fine. Cut car back on same thing then over temp. Code came up as well, turned car off checked under the hood fluids all over the front end. My car was fixed in 2019 for recall 17s09 for engine coolant problems that caused this before as well as 5 other recalls

My car doesn't start after getting gas, it stalls while driving (which is very scary), feels like it's not getting enough gas at times and then will jump forward like it got too much gas at times. I took it to get it tested and was told it's the purge valve. This has been recalled in older models of the Fusion, as well as the Ford Focus. I have the same issue, but the 2013 isn't included in the recall. It needs to be covered under the recall because I'm sure my vehicle is not the only one. It's a huge issue, as it's not safe to drive.

Car consistently tries to pop the trunk while driving while also unlocking and locking doors. The seat always goes back to a default position. Does it so much I had to unplug the trunk actuator because it wouldn’t even let me drive off without opening the trunk. Lights flicker all weird when it does it. It does this idling and driving all the time. I can’t use photos to describe but I do have a video but your platform won’t let me upload videos.

While driving on the interstate, the power steering on the car suddenly stopped working and has not come on since. This was a major issue as I was driving 80 mph on the interstate and had trouble steering after it gave out. After taking this to the Ford Dealership I was told that it would be a $3,100 fix. There were not any warning signs before this event and the car had been in perfect condition.

Had been shopping all day, with no indication of a problem. Stopped to gas up vehicle and put the gear shifter in park, then removed the key (No warning or indicator there was a problem). Before exiting the vehicle, when releasing the brake pedal, the car started to roll forward. Brake pedal was immediately pressed again, before possibly colliding with another vehicle parked in front of my vehicle. I put the key back into the ignition to attempt to start the vehicle and it would not start. I looked at the gear indicator and it stated the car was in reverse, but the shifter was in park. Gear shifter override did not change the indicator on the dash either. Vehicle was able to roll forward and backward with gravity or pushing. I kept on the emergency brake and upon inspection of the engine compartment by the mechanic with the tow company, it was discovered that the gear shift cable had disconnected. Reconnection was attempted, but it would not stay connected. There is a current recall for this exact problem, but my VIN number was not included in the recall.

Vehicle suddenly lost power steering and warning messages appeared about "steering assist fault" and "service AdvanceTrac". Dealer diagnosed the issue as a failed electric power steering rack but claimed the issue was not covered by recalls. I was driving my car and my power steering assist fault came on and the steering wheel locked up. If I would have been turning at the time I would have wrecked. The vehicle had to be towed to the Ford dealership. Since I have on the car the light has came on a couple times but immediately turns off. It is at the dealership where they are telling me it is $2400 to fix.

While on vacation in NW Ohio my power assist failure light came on and I lost my power steering. It was terribly hard to turn and scared me. My sister looked up to see if there were recalls on my 2013 Ford Fusion SE for this problem as we were together and found 17 recalls and over 1500 complaints for this same car year and problem but my VIN was not listed. My VIN needs to be included and I should be reimbursed. This malfunction happened on Sat afternoon July 17, 2021. I got my car into Taylor Kia dealership on Monday on July 19, 2021. My friend is the Sales Mgr. there and got my car in and gave me a loaner to use. they checked for recalls too but none found. It had to be fixed so I told the service dept to go ahead. While the car was there when I had to return home I had them put my back brakes and rotors on and 2 filters I needed. The first assembly parts were damaged and had to reorder. That came in Monday July 26 and repairs were made and finished July 27. I wasn't able to get back up until Friday to exchange the loaner for my car. I had them bag up the bad rack and pinion and brought it home in case you or Ford need it to validate this power steering failure for recall.

Vehicle sporadically (more so on cool/cold mornings) receives an error light on the dash indicating problem with power steering/traction control and hill assist. When this occurs, vehicle loses power steering. Very dangerous if unexpected and traveling at higher speeds. Ford is aware of this problem and has issued TSBs. Does there have to be fatalities and law suits before something is done? Consumer should not have to pay $2200+ to repair a problem occurring across multiple vehicle years and models.

Defective Ford engine and engine cooling recalls have been issued for select models (i.e., recalls 12S41; 17S09;) for cars with 1.6 liter engines due to issues associated with low coolant levels in which a recall was issued in 2017 requiring Ford to install new coolant level sensors and the associated hardware and software in order to prevent engine overheating and catastrophic failure. While the recall was not issued for the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium Hybrid 2.0 liter engines, the problems identified with the 1.6 liter engines also characterize many of the 2.0 liter engines, including the one that I drive. My Ford has had 18 recalls, and during 2020 the engine light came on 4 different times between February and October of 2020 in which I brought the vehicle to Serramonte Ford service center to determine the reason. Ford did routine inspections and recall work in each visit, but it was not until the final time that the engine light came on that the tech looked inside the engine to discover leaking oil that Ford's service staff informed me I would require a new engine. Ford suggests replacing the defective engine with a rebuilt engine rather than breaking down and diagnosing the cause of the oil in the engine block, according to Ford due to the relatively cheaper cost to me (Ford did not make the diagnosis until after the car was out of warranty) of installing a rebuilt engine rather than tearing down the existing engine to diagnose and repair. I suspect that the 2.0 liter engine has the exact same issues as the 1.6 and should have been included in the 2017 recall, when I could have had the coolant level sensor installed while the car remained under the manufacturer's warranty. The car is at risk of a catastrophic fire now if I drive it off of the service center's lot, where it has been since November 2020. 12S41 and 17S09 recalls should be offered to the 2.0 liter engine models as well, before more people die.

Last night when I got in my car to come home from work. When I turned on my car I got this message "Steering Locked Pull Over Safely". My Mother researched what would cause that to come up. One of the problems that she found was low tire pressure. She went around and checked all the tires and they where inflated to the right PSI. She even made sure that there was no screws or nails that would cause then to go flat. She also hooked up the ODB-2 Scanner to the car to make sure that it wasn't what was causing the issue. There wasn't any codes that popped up. We unhooked the battery and left it unhooked about 30 minutes that didn't correct the issue either. When she called the Ford dealer by our house they told me it would cost me around $2000.00 To fix the issue. What should i do about this issue since i don't have that kind of money to fix this problem?
