Everyone is having problems with fuel pump relay. Mine is constantly running and draining battery. I have been pulling the fuse everytime I get out of vehicle. There are multiple vehicle jeeps and others that have this same relay and some have been recalled. There has been recalls on plastic part on back lift gates that might come off and hit people. This is fuel.

In two separate incidents on 5/4/23 and 5/5/23, while DRIVING, the vehicle has stalled without warning. The engine completely shut off. Power steering and breaks stopped functioning properly making it VERY difficult to pullover and stop. Once pulled over, had to place the vehicle in park, completely turn off the electrical and restart the vehicle. No warning lamps or messages appeared before or after the incident. The vehicle has been displaying some issues starting recently, especially when using the push button. However, we have always been able to get it to start by inserting the key. This is an incredibly dangerous situation for the driver and any occupants as it has happened without warning while driving on highways which could very easily result in an accident if unable to pullover safely or stop if the breaks are not working. The vehicle has not yet been inspected, but we plan to get it inspected as soon as possible.

The van has repeatedly (5 seperate times) stalled in the middle of driving. The electronics will remain on, but the power steering goes out and the van decelerates to a complete stop. When I try to start the van immediately after, the ignition turns over, but the engine does not start. After a period of 10-30 minutes the van will start up fine. We’ve had the van to our mechanic and there are no codes. The first time it stalled in the middle of a 2 lane road, on a blind curve, with no shoulder to pull off on. The second time was on interstate 75. I now know when it happens to start searching for a safe place to pull off the road, however once it happens I am limited on the distance the van will travel before it stops. Depending on the seed I’m traveling it’s usually only a couple hundred feet.

My back driver side sliding door stopped working and I had to remove my grandchild from the window because the car was loaded and packed for a trip. Then about 5 months after the door stopped my passenger and driverside windows would roll down and immediately back up and then down and not close. This caused extreme cold for passengers in the vehicle since we were driving in bad weather and could not stop to try to get them rolled up. Having only 1 back door that works makes it completely impossible to load and unload my family and it bothers me if there were an emergency and had to exit vehicle I wouldn't be able to get all my grandkids out in a timely manner. When I pull up to a construction zone and have to stop I have to open my door to hear to talk to them which caused them to tell me to stay in vehicle and they get scared for my safety with my door open. I cannot communicate with drive up tellers and it is impossible to order from a drive thru when I have to open door or if I get pulled over by a cop and he tells me to roll window down I have to open door and he takes secure measures thinking I am going to do something bad when I have to talk to him with door open cause windows don't work. Then about 3 months ago the same noise and situation started happening with the back 2nd row windows and therefore I have not been able to use any windows in my van because I am scared they will remain open and my vehicle will be a target for theft or vandalism

I got my 2013 chrysler town and country of a local used car dealership. I’ve had it almost 2 years. The transmission is now going out. I’ve been told it’s probably a design flaw inside the transmission as so many other people are having the same problems with the 62te transmissions. It has 102,000 miles. I got it it when it had 90,000. There is no warranty.

The van will randomly shut off while driving. it may happen out of the blue while on the highway, hitting a bump, or even driving at slow speeds. The instrument panel remains on, I can put the van in neutral while still moving and restart the van. Sometimes it happens multiple times a week, sometimes it happens only a few months. There are no check engine light on or anything else.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH he noticed that the "check engine" warning was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the oil pressure sensor and the oil housing needed to be replaced. The contact was advised by the mechanic that the oil sensor failure was a common failure for his year, make, and model. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

This issue has to do with the ignition switch. While driving, the car would randomly shut completely off causing a loss of power to the electrical systems, power steering, effective braking, etc. This has occurred several times. Once while driving at night, the vehicle completely shut off while driving at approximately 60mph, causing the headlights to shut off and the power to completely cut off. This can be extremely dangerous and even deadly. My safety was put at risk as I loss my vision(without headlights) and losing power(steering, engine, etc.) caused me to veer into the incoming traffic lane. A head-on collision could have occurred due to a loss of control. The issue is intermittently and cannot be intentionally replicated. However, it has occurred numerous times. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer. There is no warning indicators when the problem occurs. It usually occurs suddenly without hindsight. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Horn, and door locks activate randomly. Now vehicle will crank but not turn over. Research and troubleshooting confirms a bad TIPM which was recalled in other Dodge and Jeep vehicles, but not the Chrysler Town and Country.

I just bought the van while dropping off the kids 10-year-old and a nine-year-old at the schools drop off lane from the driver side rear sliding door while they were coming out of the door. The door closed on them. I had to stick my hand from the back of the drvers seat to stop and it was pushing against my hand .it this has happened three times, it appears that the door is not locking open when it’s commanded to open .

What started as an intermittent crank / no start issue quickly progressed to complete failure of fuel pump relay that is part of TIPM. During the first crank no start issue on the day in question I was able to use remote start and the vehicle started normally. (Probably do to slightly higher system voltage as some accessories are turned off during remote start vs pushbutton start). Later the same day is when the complete failure occurred. This could be a major inconvenience for many, but in the harsh Minnesota winters it's more than just inconvenient when you have a wife and young kids in a vehicle away from home that will not start when air temps are in the single digits and wind chill is far below zero. Fortunately / sadly, this is such a common problem that I was able to diagnose it rather quickly with Google, but not before getting a frostbitten finger. I was able to bypass this fuel pump relay by forcing a paper clip into fuse holder M37 and getting keyed power from an alternative source, fuse M25. I don't, however, recommend this fix. What I do recommend is that Chrysler Corporation expand the recall of affected vehicles with this TIPM to include ALL vehicles that this was installed in. In hindsight, a totally unexplained, drained battery overnight while hundreds of miles from home was probably my first sign of this failing relay as it most likely stuck on forcing fuel pump to stay running with ignition off. This occurred 26 days prior to my crank / no start issue. After jump starting and fully charging, battery was tested and passed. Battery resting voltage tested day after crank / no start issue is 12.8V. If I remove relay jumper, crank no start persists.

Vehicle has stalled numerous times while operating at high rates of speed 60+ mph in most cases. No prior warning or indication of stalling until vehicle no longer accelerates and then seconds later loses power steering. Usually I can get to the side of the road and pull out of traffic. However last night was not the case. I stalled in a construction zone, with concrete barriers on both sides. I pulled over as far as I could and was nearly hit multiple times by semis and other vehicles. I had my 4 children in the car with me and they are traumatized now. They were bawling because they thought they were going to get hit. We had a sheriff call for a tow truck which was not free. We were left stranded in the dark, in the cold, for an hour just this incident. It once was an issue that only happened occasionally. It happened 6 times this past week while I was out of state for holidays. This is my only means of transportation and having a newborn I have to be able to get around safely. I will state again NO warning prior, and no engine light after to diagnose the issue. Myself and my 4 children could have lost our lives last night. The officers who stopped could have lost their lives the passerby could have lost their lives. This vehicle is a death trap. They need to recall all of them to locate the real problem before tragedy strikes. I wouldn’t even give this vehicle away that’s how unsafe it is.

Right headlight stopped working, tried replacing bulb, but still did not work. One year before Bettenhausen Chrysler had replaced bulb in April 2021. July 20, 2022, I took the car in to Bettenhausen and they fixed the light, but wanted to charge almost $2,000. I had a Mopar 10% off coupon, which brought the cost to nearly $1,700 that I had to pay. Having working headlights is a legal & safety requirement after dawn and during rain, otherwise a driver can be ticketed. Headlights have been on cars for over 100 years, have not had this kind of problem and expense. Chrysler designed the headlight operation so technically complicated and epensive that defies logic. My vehicle only has about 70,000 miles on it. This is a failure of Chrysler, and I should get a full reimbursement. I have been loyal to this brand since 1981, having bought at least 13 new top of the line vehicles, they need to be loyal to me. I have contacted their customer complaint department, but have not heard from them yet. I sent them the dealer work order and a copy of my paid receipt. Headlights not working are a real safety concern, and I had no choice but to get the repair. My case number is 83729232 with Chrysler. Even the dealer service workers thought the cost is rediculous, and I think it outrageous! I need an advocate to get a full reimbursement!

I had bought 2 graco nautilus snuglock 3-in-1 harness booster and I have used only one and had one in another car for my parents and the one I was using I had bought in Feb of this year and I went to take it out of the car to clean it and when I took the headrest off the Styrofoam also came off. I have contacted graco and they said it's ok to use but for me I feel it's unsafe as my child has autism and she has cancer. I do have pictures if you want to see them

The front passenger headrest deployed . There was no collision, did it for no reason. The plastic catches broke causing it to deploy. If this had impacted my wife’s head it could have injured her, if this happens to the drivers side while someone is driving and impacts the driver it could cause them to lose control of the vehicle.

Consistent failure of the "Total Integrated Power Module" which controls so many items in the car such as windshield wipers, windshield defroster fan, exterior lighting systems, heater fan, the ability for the car to start, the horn may or may not sound and many other accessory related items. It is a very WELL KNOWN failure of these modules and they are basically un available blamed on the supply chain problems. As a result of these problems in this very well known module failure cars have become basically un-able to drive safely or not at all and sit in dealers service areas waiting for these modules to be replaced at the owners cost in most cases in excess of $1,000.00 for a part that is a known failure in design by Chrysler Corporation and their various owners (Mercedes Benz, Fiat, Stellantis) and others unknown at this time. This is against the Consumer Product Safety Commission as well as the National Highway Transportation Safety Commission to have so many defective modules that create unsafe conditions for the vehicle owners where they are concerned about their own safety as well as the safety of those they share the roads and highways with. I am along with many others asking you to look into this situation and find some kind of remedy to correct this ongoing problem for consumers and the safe operation of the vehicles that they operate on the roads of America as well as foreign countries.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH uphill, the vehicle independently stopped. The vehicle was shifted into reverse(R) and the vehicle inadvertently drove forward. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic with the check engine warning light illuminated. The mechanic replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, and alternator. The mechanic stated there might also be a failure with the TIPM. The vehicle was also towed to another independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined there was a failure with the fuel line connector and an abnormal clicking noise. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
