While driving, the panoramic sunroof suddenly exploded outward without any impact from road debris or another object. The glass shattered unexpectedly, creating a safety hazard from falling glass and the sudden loud noise. I believe the failure may have been caused by pressure inside the cabin or a defect in the sunroof glass or its installation. There were no visible signs that the vehicle struck anything before the glass shattered.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2026 Mazda Cx-70 Phev verdict →
