The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 74 MPH with the cruise control feature activated, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently up to 135 MPH. The brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to slow down for 12-miles. The vehicle was towed to a dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,400.
