A little over a month after purchasing my brand new Hummer EV 2X I was driving and then I lost all power, brakes, steering, and had to coas t to a stop. My rear motor blew and snapped my trans axle. I had only 2,000 miles on the odo. This vehicle is riddled with issues that limit its ability to use safely.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV verdict →
