The contact called for a friend who owns a 2025 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the back over prevention camera did not function as intended. The contact stated that the control system features were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to several dealers where it was diagnosed with a software failure. The contact was informed that there was no remedy available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to three dealers for diagnostic testing and then submit the information. The failure mileage was approximately 349.
