What 6 owners told NHTSA about the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage G4

The contact owns a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage G4. The contact stated that the brake pads had to be replaced approximately every 2 to 3 months. The contact believed that there was an abnormal fault with the braking system. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the brake pads were replaced; however, the failure recurred, and the brake pads made abnormal grinding and screeching sounds. The vehicle was inspected by several independent mechanics on several occasions; however, the failure persisted after repeated repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the sway bar, resulting in a negative caster. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to confirm the diagnosis but informed the contact that an alignment was completed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 10,000.
