Purchased the car new. On day two of having the vehicle and on a cold start in the morning, I noticed that the brake was very difficult to press in order to get the car started. Additionally, when applying the brake during driving it seemed to take a bit longer to slow down. I took the car into the dealer's service department and they confirmed that it was a bad brake booster. I am now waiting for the part to come in from Germany, which is backordered.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2024 Mini Cooper verdict →
