The exact failed component is unknown to me at this time, but the issue appears related to the vehicle’s electrical system. Prior to the incident, I received a charging error notification while the vehicle was plugged in. I unplugged the charger from the wall outlet, waited briefly, and plugged it back in. Later that same day, the vehicle entered a no-start condition and would not start despite repeated attempts over approximately two hours. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle left me stranded at night for approximately two hours without warning. Because the vehicle would not start, I was unable to reliably move or operate the vehicle. Depending on location, weather conditions, surrounding traffic, and other circumstances or emergency situations, this type of failure could place occupants and other drivers at risk. Additionally, I previously reported a separate safety-related incident involving this same vehicle in February 2026 in which the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly accelerated in my daughter’s daycare parking lot. This has not been reproduced. The vehicle unexpectedly started and operated again at approximately the same time the tow truck arrived, after remaining inoperable for roughly two hours. Because the issue resolved itself without repair, it’s not clear what the root cause is. The vehicle has not yet been inspected. The vehicle has remained garaged following the incident pending further evaluation and communication with Ford. There were some warnings. Prior to operating the vehicle that evening, I received a charging error notification while the vehicle was plugged in. After unplugging and reconnecting the charger, the vehicle later experienced the no-start condition. During the incident, the vehicle provided no clear indication through the vehicle interface or mobile app explaining why it would not start, only “Stop safely now.”

Since before September 2025, the driver’s side rear TPMS sensor has been intermittently showing a TPMS fault while the vehicle is already in motion. The vehicle is still under the bumper to bumper warranty. This fault is not always on, but it does comes on while driving. The vehicle always shows the fault in the rear driver’s TPMS sensor. I brought the vehicle to a Ford dealer on September 23, 2025 and they said the tire pressure was low, but upon leaving the dealership the issue came back. The car was brought to a Ford dealer again for the issue on May 2, 2026 and they said the issue couldn’t be replicated and suggested the issue may be a wired baby monitor (due to radio frequency interference) however the wired baby monitor does not emit any radio frequency. We alerted Ford’s corporate customer care and they set up a second opinion at another dealer for May 9, 2026 but when we brought the car that dealer turned us away claiming to not have a record of the appointment. This is an issue of safety as the sensor fault consistently shows at highway speeds (70 mph+). The sensors cannot be trusted which can potentially lead to an accident due to a blow out at high speeds. At this time, Ford has not been helpful in getting this safety issues resolved. If you google the issue, there are plenty of forums talking about the same issue with their Mustang Mach E.

The Mustang Mach-E Select has three driving modes. From least to most aggressive in terms of acceleration, they are Whisper, Engage, and Unbridle. When driving in 1-pedal mode where removing your foot from the accelerator causes the car to brake, the strongest application of brakes is in Whisper mode as well. It’s not aggressive, but it will bring the car to a stop over a shorter distance. There is a known and reported problem among drivers, shared often in driver forums like Reddit, where vehicles will change to Engage mode from either Whisper or Unbridle. Over a year ago, I first noticed my car doing this on a downhill exit from a highway to a stoplight. I engaged the brake when I realized I was approaching the stopped car in front of me faster than I should. Over the past 16 months, I’ve experienced this at least twice a month, with no way I’ve been able to discern of predicting when it will happen. I drive the car in the most energy-using and highest energy-recovering mode. I am well aware that the braking might change at any time, but am concerned my wife, who drives the car less than I do, or some other Mustang Mach-E driver will rear-end another vehicle by realizing too late the car is not slowing as expected. I’ve told my dealer, I called Ford, now I’m notifying you in the hopes you can get Ford to issue a software fix. This was something I just noticed again pulling in to my garage solely because I was showing my wife something, and I realized I had the time to report it. On January 15 I took my car to Tasca Ford for the "10,000 check up and NYS Inspection. I was given paperwork confirming that the car was functioning properly . On January 17, 2026 my parked, unoccupied 2024 Ford mach E crashed into my parents garage door. I brought the car back to Tasca on January 19 and again was told nothing was wrong with my brakes. I then took the car to an independent mechanic who confirmed the brakes were faulty. I also received a notice in the Ford App that there was a recall for my car. I called Ford to tell them about my accident and that I needed a loaner car. They first denied the recall then told they had "No remedy" at this time I had to contact the dealership. Tasca was still denying a recall and would not give me a loaner. On February 13, 2026 the car rolled out of park and hit an unoccupied car. I now have a rental car through Geico but only for 30 days.

I am concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the nature of the brake defect and the uncertainty surrounding when it will be fixed. This situation is creating a serious hardship for my household. My husband is a disabled veteran with multiple medical conditions and frequent medical appointments. I am responsible for transporting him, and we rely on having a safe and dependable vehicle. The unresolved brake defect makes me uncomfortable driving the vehicle, yet I have no alternative transportation. Ford Credit has declined to assist with a buyback, and the dealership cannot offer a repair because no remedy exists. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in ensuring Ford provides a timely remedy or appropriate support (such as a loaner vehicle or buyback) so that my family is not placed at risk due to an unresolved safety defect.

There is an issue with the Mach E where while in a parking lot at low speeds the user may accidentally press the cruise control setting which will initiate the car jolting up to 15 mph (minimum speed for adaptive cruise control system) instantly. This happens when you are going 5 mph or less in a parking lot. Although this is more of a design issue where some users may not deal with this issue, it should be noted that forums have been posted about this same exact issue and it can cause a danger in terms of hitting pedestrians or other vehicles in parking lots or other slow moving traffic. There have been several instances where this has happened to me.

While picking up my daughter from school this week, I entered a school parking lot and began a low-speed right turn to pull into a parking space. During this maneuver, the car unexpectedly and abruptly accelerated forward. I reacted immediately and applied the brakes, but the car traveled approximately two car lengths beyond the intended parking spot. I came to a stop across two parking spaces. This occurred in an active school pickup area with parents and children nearby. There were no cars or pedestrians directly in front of me at that moment. I still fear what the outcome might have been if anyone had been present. Immediately after stopping, I observed that the adaptive cruise control speed indicator on the instrument cluster was set to 15 and was crossed out, indicating it had recently been active and disengaged. However, I did not engage adaptive cruise control during that trip. Based on the car’s behavior and the display state, my best assessment is that adaptive cruise control was unintentionally engaged during the parking maneuver causing the car to attempt to accelerate toward a previously set cruise speed despite being in a low-speed, turning scenario. Again, I did not use ACC on this trip. A sudden acceleration in a school parking lot presents an extreme hazard. The only reason this incident did not result in injury or death was immediate braking and luck. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the incident. The car has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer. I am aware of multiple publicly shared videos from other Mach-E owners documenting similar incidents, some resulting in crashes. This appears to be a systemic adaptive cruise control design or software issue that warrants immediate investigation and correction to avoid serious injury or death.

Everyday I drive the vehicle There are 2 error messages 1. Front Camera fault, service required 2. Pre-collision Assist not available I have 32 Pre-collision warning messages in the last month, one for every day I drive. I had to drive 4 hours with no cruise control causing my leg to cramp at the 2 hour mark. There needs to be a recall for this issue. Many many other owners of the Mach-e have mentioned the same.

I was proceeding to drive home from an appointment with a friend, the car suddenly lost power and I had no control over anything. I was able to keep the steering wheel in the locked position trying to get to the side of the road. Thankfully the speed was only 25mph, as someone had just switched lanes and came in front of me. I was in the process of turning to enter the highway. I've been having a problem with this car since I purchased. I told Ford after this incident, that I fear to drive the vehicle with my family, because that's how scared I was when I had no control. I requested multiple times for someone from Ford Corporate to contact me, and still have not heard from anyone. On 11/26 I received a recall for the 12v battery, which is pretty much what keeps the car on and off, and I still have not heard from anyone in Ford corporate.

My name is [XXX] , and I am formally reporting an unacceptable and irresponsible delay regarding my Ford Mustang Mach-E (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at Group 1 Ford of Southwest Houston (formerly Sterling McCall Ford). My vehicle is only 1.5 years old, yet the clear-coat paint has already deteriorated, and the vehicle is also subject to an official Ford recall. I reported both issues to the dealer more than two months ago. Despite multiple calls and follow-ups, the service department continues giving me the same unacceptable excuse: “We cannot take your vehicle because we do not have a loaner car available.” This is completely unreasonable. This is a recall, and refusal to accept my car due to a lack of loaner vehicles is not my responsibility — it is a failure of Ford and the dealer to provide required support. As a result: •My recall remains unresolved •The paint defect continues to worsen •I have no scheduled service date •I have been told to “wait indefinitely” with no solution This level of customer support is unprofessional, unacceptable, and harmful to the Ford brand. Driving to work as usual and the road is clear just damp from a slight rain. When all the sudden the car just started swerving signaling that the road is wet. But even if wet it shouldn’t swerve like crazy on its own. Causing me to almost crash. It was the most scariest thing that happened to me. I’m taking it to ford dealership tomorrow but not sure how this will be fixed. Now I’m scared to drive on rainy days. I have drove before in rainy days and never had this happen. Today weather when driving wasn’t bad just slight damp on the road and it just started swerving like crazy and I wasn’t driving fast just on a normal street. I was scared to hop on the freeway to work. I skipped work because I was scared to drive.

There is an issue with Cruise Control while moving out of a parking space. I am concerned for my wife who knows nothing about technology. If she were to MISTAKENLY press the Cruise Control button while parked and a car is in front of her, the car's Cruise Control will ACTIVATE AND LUNG FORWARD at a speed of 15MPH. This can be frightening and in a panic a person can crash. This has happened to me on SEVERAL occasions but I am able to handle the situation. If it happens to my WIFE, there surely will be a HUGE problem. I can reproduce the problem very easily. If you are parked behind a car Cruise Control can be activated. If you are STOPPED and there are no cars in front of you, you CANNOT activate Cruise Control. Therefore, when you need Adaptive Cruise Control (for traffic jams) a double click of the button seems feasible. Single click when you are over 30mph. This should be an easy software update.

I lease a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E. On [XXX] the vehicle suddenly displayed a High-Voltage Battery Fault, Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power warning. The dealer replaced the High-Voltage Junction Box (HVJB), however I am unsure whether the actual root cause was ever identified. This failure shows a major defect in the high-voltage electrical system. Separately, my vehicle is also subject to Recall 25S65 / NHTSA 25V404, where a discharged 12-volt battery can prevent the electronic door latches from opening, risking passenger entrapment. Ford has no remedy available and has only projected a future software update. My car is still at the dealership. These two issues are connected: the HV system (through the HVJB) powers the DC-DC converter that keeps the 12-volt battery charged. A failure on the HV side can starve the 12-volt system, which directly creates the entrapment risk described in the recall. I live in Florida, where extreme heat makes this risk especially dangerous for children, pets, and elderly passengers. What is my emergency plan...carry a hammer to break the windows on every trip? This is an unreasonable and unsafe expectation for consumers. Ford has not provided any fix or assurance of safety. I have specifically asked Ford whether my car is safe to drive — they have not provided any assurances, merely repeating that Ford has not issued a stop-driving order on the vehicle. This unresolved defect substantially impairs the use, value, and safety of my vehicle, and Ford has failed to provide an adequate repair. I am reporting a serious safety defect involving the electronic front door latches on my 2024 Ford Mustang Mach E. During a 12V battery discharge, the electric latches can fail, preventing the doors from opening in the outside. This means the driver or passengers could become trapped in the vehicle, or the driver can be locked out in an emergency, even if both key fob and key are present. This defect poses a critical safety risk in situations requiring a rapid exit - such as accident or extreme heat and increases the risk of injury or death. As an active duty service member, I work in a secure federal government facility and have to leave my phone in my vehicle during working hours. This heightens the danger, because if the latch fails, I would have no secondary means to gain entry or exit, potentially delaying emergency responses. Ford has acknowledged the defect in the recall (25S65/25V404) in early June. They said to expect an update by the end of Q3, which is nearing and I haven’t heard anything yet. I believe this defect warrants urgent attention, and consideration of a manufacturer buyback due to severe safety implications.

I own a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E affected by recall 25S65 / 25V404. Ford has placed a stop-sale on all 2024 and older Mach-Es for this issue but is allowing current owners to drive the vehicles. The defect can trap occupants or pets inside if the 12V battery discharges, posing a serious safety risk in hot weather (currently 100°F in my area). I contacted Kendall Ford of Meridian, ID, on 8/14/25 to schedule the repair. They confirmed the remedy is a software update not yet available for my model year and estimated it will not be released until Q4 2025. This is more than 60 days after the recall was issued, and I have no safe remedy available. I believe Ford should provide an immediate fix, replacement vehicle, or buyback due to the safety risk.

I lease a brand-new 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E with approximately 5,000 miles. The vehicle is subject to NHTSA Campaign Number 25V404 (Ford Recall 25S65) for defective exterior electronic door latches that may fail to open if the 12-volt battery discharges. Ford has confirmed there is no repair available and no timeline for a fix. This defect has been acknowledged by my Ford dealer and Ford corporate. While Ford states that the interior manual handles still function, this ignores a serious real-world safety hazard. I frequently transport dogs and other passengers who cannot operate the manual handles. If I step outside the vehicle — even briefly — and the exterior handles fail, these occupants could be trapped inside. In an emergency such as extreme heat, cold, or fire, this could result in injury or death, and rescue would require breaking the glass, creating additional risk of harm. Ford’s own recall language acknowledges this is a “safety defect,” yet the current stance is that the vehicle is “safe to drive.” This does not address the entrapment risk for vulnerable occupants. The defect has not yet resulted in entrapment or injury, but it is an active and unresolved hazard that could occur without warning. This complaint is being filed to document the risk before harm occurs and to ensure a timely, safe remedy is provided.

[XXX] @ [XXX] The door locks are not opening from the outside. The battery will not charge. I cannot get my items out. I have a [XXX] work & personal electronics, along with personal items for myself & my family, inside that I cannot access. It's early Sunday morning, I am over 3 hours away from home, in Corpus Christi, with my brother & [XXX] nephew, along with both of my Dogs. The ford dealerships in this city will not be open until Monday. The plan was to stay for a night & drive back home, as both myself & brother have to work on Monday. I am a therapist (Psychotherapist) with critical clients, & this is problematic. This is NOT the 1st or 2ND time I had an issue like this. This is actually the 3RD time, but the last time I dealt with this, the dealership had no recollection or documentation of a bad battery or battery issues; however, that IS what I was told the first time, but when I picked it up, I was told they just FIXED something, with the battery. The 2nd time, the doors locked up, the battery would not charge & I had it towed to the same dealership, that it was purchased from, from my home of Giddings, TX to College Station, TX, & I was told, I needed a whole new Battery replacement. The car was purchased brand new with approximately 11 miles in October/November of 2024, & it currently has between 7000-8000 (I do not remember the total amount, but it has over 7,000, but less than 8,000). Fast forward to roadside giving me a hard time for having to bring a device to charge the battery to open it, leaving, & cutting my wrist, while grabbing things out of the vehicle, between the seat & center console, as my hand got stuck, & I forgot the seat could not move without any electric charge (there is a JAGGED edge in between that it's dangerous for ANYONE, & it's hidden by a cloth flap). I also had to pay for a rental vehicle despite having this service, when the dealership opened, for 2 days).
