The contact owns a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while the contact's daughter was reversing, the rear-view camera seized. The contact's vehicle crashed into a vehicle that was parked behind the contact's vehicle. No injuries. In addition, the contact stated that the rear-view camera displayed a frozen image. The contact stated that the failure was not identified until after the crash. The image was still displayed on the rear-view camera display after the crash. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. No Police report was filed. The contact received a recall notification, NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V124000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the parts were unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
