- Automatic Emergency breaking system unavailable - service required alert -Blind spot unavailable - service required alert - car was sold with these lights coming on. Dealership told us it was just tightening up some wires. They ended up replacing two modules. After 5 trips to the dealership the service fixed it for approximately 3 days before it came back.

My Jeep has been a consistent problem. The vehicle gives many warning and "service powertrain" warnings in the dashboard. Additionally, at the same time as the warnings, the vehicle will lurch - slowing down significantly and making passengers in the vehicle panic. I have gone to the dealer to already fix not 1 but 5, yes FIVE, recalls related to the powertrain system. This last visit (today) I was told that Stellantis acknowledges the issue, but does not have a fix. This vehicle was clearly not ready for production and Stellantis needs to be held accountable to it's customers.

Starting at around 12k miles, my odometer started flashing and backup cameras completely stopped working, unable to see while backing up, at the same time the active lane management and auto emergency braking went out as well, took my car into the dealership and was told pam module was not good and covered under manufacturer warranty, even after pam module was replaced, the active lane management and auto emergency braking is still not working

Jeep Cares case [XXX] While driving with Lane Keeping Assistance/cruise control enabled, on a dry clear road (XXX) Between Exit [XXX] and Exit [XXX] - both directions. It has happened elsewhere, but these are our major commuting route. The jeep would all the sudden veer to the right or left out of the lane, and we would have to fight the lane tracking to keep it centered in lane. Our Jeep Wrangler has been in the repair shop for at least 4 occurrences of the issue. 1st was initial diagnosis at about 6,000 miles. Was told that the sensors needed realignment and to bring back so they could keep for the day and it was long process. At that appointment we were told that the alignment was out and needed to be adjusted. During the adjustment, a part was damaged and needed to be replaced, the replacement part was damaged requiring a 3rd part. Time in shop was almost 30 days. 2nd attempt was about 24,000 miles. This time the alignment of sensors was performed, but on test drives, it still ended up pulling to the right and repair shop consulted with Jeep engineers about the situation and determined that at least one part needed to be replaced. Time in shop was another 30 days. After this repair, it pulls even harder and requires additional force to maintain center lane, including more occurrences pulling to the left into oncoming traffic. At 35,000 miles, opened case with Jeep Cares as warrantee is due to expire at 36,000 miles. Jeep currently at repair and after multiple test drives... they are not able to find the trouble. This is a safety issue as it unexpectedly pulls the vehicle into oncoming traffic. Massive alerts, on and off every few miles, then power steering locked out when pulling into an intersection. Almost was hit. Luckily, I was able to put the car in reverse and back into the side street. This needs immediate attention. Had the vehicle towed to dealer.

I have owned this car for almost 1 year. from day one this "radio" area 10" screen with a computer behind it has been over heating and glitching out. The effects of this are several and random. Freezing and restarting randomly. Calls dropping from car to phone and back again intermittantly. While using gps maps will freeze so i miss turns and i am not where the maps says i am. After reversing the backup picture on screen from camera will sometime freeze on screen even 5 min after I am moving forward and it is a frozen picture. Most recently a disturbing saftey issue is that i was backing into my driveway and the screen froze and not backing up warning sound or visual was real time and i almost hit my fence, as my screen showed green lines and that i was plenty far away when in fact i was inches from the fencing. The dealership has replaced the glass screen but NOT the modual or computer behind it. They have sent me softare updates over the air. I have heard from them and from others this is a major issues with this model and year with these panasonic computers in them. I am very sad and frustrated about this!

Since purchase, I have had problems with the U Connect system, which at times renders all communication and some luxury items to be inoperable 1 week ago, car completely had both batteries drain spontaneously . Dealer replaced both batteries with no further explanation. On 5/21, on highway trip, warning lights came on, lane assist, blind spot, ABS stopped working. A/c was blowing hard, but could not adjust. Windows would not open. Hatch would not open, back doors would not open , door lock/ unlock did not work. Could only use handle on inside to open car. Could not adjust side mirrors. Promptly rerouted my day trip back home via side roads and not expressway due to uncertainty of safety. Drove it right to dealer and left the car running while checking in. Car starting flashing lights while service writer was checking car in. Then all lights- headlights and tail lights went dark without touching car. Engine still running. Car is not safe or reliable to drive. Had 12,400 miles and have owned it 18 months. Mostly highway driven by retired couple. 5 th service of electrical issues since purchase. It has been kept multiple days each time.

I am reaching out to discuss a serious and concerning issue I recently experienced with my Jeep Grand Cherokee L. While driving, the vehicle suddenly lost power steering completely, making it incredibly difficult to control. This was not only unexpected but also quite frightening, given the potential for accidents in such situations. To add to the concern, about six warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Notably, messages like "Blind Spot Monitoring System Unavailable", "Lane Assistance", and, most critically, a warning about the power steering were displayed. I noticed the check engine light come up as well and the detectors on my mirrors were lit up as if the entire system was malfunctioning. Having looked into potential causes, I came across a recall notice for the 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L models regarding a steering assembly issue. I am deeply concerned that my vehicle might be affected by this recall and, considering the risks associated with such failures, I believe this matter needs urgent attention. Additionally, I had my little one in the car and am deeply concerned that we could have potentially been involved in an accident related to the malfunction. I’m reading that others have experienced the same issues

I accidently backed into a tree when my parking warning system and blind spot warning system didn't work. Damage to my vehicle was to the right rear quarter panel, bumper, tailgate and tail light. It was only after the accident occurred, that I found out that Jeep had a recall for the rearview camera visibility system. I feel that Jeep should be responsible for the repairs. My insurance company advised me to file a complaint with you and also with Jeep before they become involved. Please advise me as to what steps I should take. We have a recently purchased Jeep L with 5200 miles on it. Never off road, just a family commuter. Today my wife was driving the car for the second time and the power steering went out completely and it was very hard to turn the wheel. A bunch of other likes came on like the adaptive cruise and active lane management and front collision icons. The dash was lit up with warning including a large steering wheel icon in red. We shut the car down and restarted multiple times and the issue was still there. After 15 minutes of being on the phone to get it towed to the dealer, the issue went away on the next start with just a check engine light remaining.

While driving the vehicle on two different occasions. One was out of town and the screens and dash board going black. I tried turning off the vehicle and back on to reset it. It did not work! Then on another occasion the screen went black would not power off. The dash screen read ALM and cruise control unavailable needs service. I drove straight to the dealership and showed them. They scheduled service the next day. Got a call one of the service technicians was aware of the situation and stated Chrysler needed to provide a recall on the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee or create an update for the software system. Vehicle is still not fixed. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle.

Crunk up the vehicle to leave work and power steering immediately went out, messages and warning lights saying lane departure and blind spot warning were unavailable. No issues prior to this. I drive it to work with no issues or warning lights. I had it towed to dealership because it was unable to be driven. Thank God I was just in a parking lot and not driving down the highway when this happened. It can cause a wreck, killing myself and or another person in the vehicle with me as well as other people involved in the crash. Dealership gave me the run around and I was not able to speak with just one person. Nobody there was communicating with each other causing more chaos and frustration. This Jeep only has 3,315 miles on it so it should not be doing this.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk verdict →
