This is the SECOND time the vehicle has lost power and either had the engine die or stopped producing enough power to drive safely. The first time, the engine lost power to the put of not being able to maintain speed on a very busy highway during rush hour, forcing me to pull to the nearest side (left side of road) that had a narrow shoulder next to fastest vehicles. The most recent event (3/25/2025) took place in a parking lot. Engine was VERY rough at idle and when placed in reverse, it died. Could not restart for ~10 minutes, after which time the problem persisted. In both instances a tow truck had to take vehicle to dealership. In both cases the dealer indicated it was the fuel injectors causing the issues. No check engines lights or other dashboard light came on except for an indication to start the vehicle in Neutral. I used the companies app for the vehicle and no error codes came up. This issue resulted in no damage to persons or property, but could have if I wasn't next to shoulder in the first incident.

I was driving straight when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction made a left turn without yielding, crossing into my lane. As a result, my vehicle collided with the other car at full speed. However, the airbag in my steering wheel did not deploy upon impact, as it should have. My injuries have been significantly more severe than they would have been had the airbag functioned properly. I reported this issue to the vehicle manufacturer, and they opened a case and conducted an inspection. During their inspection, they found that the airbag had since deployed. However, my vehicle was transported off a steep hill and moved to multiple lots before the inspection, any of which could have triggered a delayed deployment. Despite this, the manufacturer has refused to accept liability. Because the airbag failed to deploy at the time of impact, there was no buffer between me and the steering wheel. This resulted in excessive force against my chest from the seatbelt and direct impact with the steering wheel, leading to more severe injuries. There were no warning lights on in the vehicle before the crash, nor were there any recalls related to this issue at the time of the incident.

I am on my 3rd fuel injector repair in less than 2 years. asked if they could replace them all and was told they can only replace what is broken. My car was purchased brand new and still under warranty . each time the car was towed to 3 different dealers, i have not received a loaner or a rental car voucher. I have been without my car for upwards of over a week. So what exactly is the warranty good for? I have a friend who has a 2106 acura ilx and to this day when it needs to be repaired, he gets a loaner and they pick the car up from his home. This is so disappointing to have purchased a 2023 car in Dec of 2022 with 13 miles on it and have had it in the shop 3 times as of Feb 2025

My vehicle has been in for service 4 times for the front brake rotors warping. The dealer/manufacturer is not able to fix nor diagnose the root cause of the issue. They have replaced the rotors twice and turned/resurfaced the rotors twice - all in 26000 miles. The dealer has all but given up on the issue - and has referred me to Hyundai Customer Care (Corporate) where I have logged a case. In my discussions with the dealer service manager - he stated there are "half a dozen" other cars he is aware of with similar issues. In online Hyundai owners forums this is also a "known" issue that apparently Hyundai either chooses not to fix or cannot determine how to fix.

(1) [XXX] (14,568 mi): The vehicle had been running normally. My wife was about to switch lanes at an intersection when the vehicle started to shake and vibrate. The entire dashboard lit up and the vehicle quickly died. She tried restarting it and the engine wouldn’t turn over. Anytime there was an attempt to restart, there was a potent odor of gasoline. The car died in the middle of the road. It would sort of start but then it wouldn't move and would just shake and smell of gas. After many minutes of trying to start the vehicle, barely got power but was able to pull to side of road around other cars. Hyundai app reported codes: P030300 and P217800. Had car towed to local dealer. Picked the car up and next day spoke to the service manager who indicated there was a 20%-25% chance this would reoccur. He said there was nothing he could do as Hyundai would only cover the cost for the existing issue. The paperwork from the dealer shows it was a P0303 for cylinder 3 misfire and system too rich caused by leaking fuel injector for cylinder 3 (low pressure). [XXX] (14,702 mi) I was driving the car, in middle of an intersection and the vehicle started to vibrate and all lights on dash lit up (check engine, battery, etc.) and smell of gasoline. Car hesitated and wouldn't move. Died in intersection. Had to have 2 people help push me as I was dead in middle of road with people beeping and passing me. Got to side of road and couldn't get vehicle to start. No error codes on app this time, but all symptoms were exactly the same. Called for tow, different dealership due to location. Dealership indicated they would return it to us safe, but because of Hyundai policies, they can only work on the affected items. This is well documented by Hyundai owners of this problem and going by what the service manager of the first location told me, this is common to spread to other injectors. THIS IS UNSAFE! I was driving on a highway at 75 mph, on a clear day, with perfect visibility and driving conditions and my automatic emergency braking engaged. I was on cruise control with no one in front of me for approximately half a mile. There were cars behind me, so I had to swerve into another lane to avoid being rear ended. There was a sequence of beeps. If there were warning lights or messages, I was too busy dodging to see them. There may have been a squiggly line that came up, but I am unsure.

This vehicle has been taken in on four separate occasions now to have know faulty fuel injectors replaced. All dealer service people acknowledge this is a know defect, all tow truck drivers have also confirmed the same, as well as thousands of people online. Huandai has not issued a recall. When the injectors go out, the car dies and will not accelerate and then leaves me stranded on the side of the road. This happens with little to no warning so is extremely dangerous. Do people have to die to make this a safety recall?

I purchased the car in December of 2022 and within the first few months, it would shut down on the interstate. After a few minutes, it would crank back up and be fine. I immediately took it to the dealership (authorized Hyundai dealer) and they could not find an issue. A couple months later, it did it again. Again, I took it to the dealer, they didn't find anything, and I took it home. After a year, it stopped and would not start back up for a long time. I was stranded at a gas station for over an hour. I finally got it to crank, took it in, and they said they fixed a faulty fuel injector. Now it's October 2024 and it is back at the dealer because last week it left me stranded on the side of the interstate at night for a few hours. Again, they are replacing 2 fuel injectors.

Attempted to make right turn onto busy road. Tried to accelerate to move with the traffic, when the car would not go any faster then 20MPH. Could hear cars braking behind me. Pulled over to the side. Message appeared on speedometer, " Limit 20MPH" with green Speedometer. Shut the car off tried to find problem in the manual. Didnt find anything. Turned car back on, it ran normal. Took it to Hyundai, Fort Myers, Appointment, on 08/28/24. They diagnosed it as : "driver assist speed setting was turned on inside settings. Turned off setting, performed a DTC code scanning with no dtcs in any system. Attached stui photos, performed a 2 mile test drive with no further issues". I can only hope that the problem is solved. I do not recall turning on anything like, and wouldn't know how to, but I guess it is possible. Wanted to notify the NHTSA, in case there are other owners experiencing the same issue. On [XXX] around [XXX] PM two Barnes County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Reckless Driving Complaint. The Reckless Driving Complaint started on [XXX] and later crashed around [XXX] near [XXX]. Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said the reporting person, a [XXX] female, was also the driver of the reckless vehicle, a 2023 white Hyundai Tucson. of Fargo contacted the Barnes County Dispatch Center and reported her gas pedal was stuck and the vehicle she was driving was traveling at speeds of over 90 miles per hour. made multiple attempts to shut the vehicle off, place it in neutral/park and brake however, those attempts failed. One Barnes County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to position his patrol vehicle in front of vehicle while the other Barnes County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to position her patrol vehicle behind Both Deputies communicated with through a Barnes County Dispatcher while they attempted to disable vehicle. At one-point was able to slow her vehicle enough that she decided she could enter the median and use the cable barriers to stop the runaway vehicle before it struck a slow-moving vehicle ahead of the lead Deputy. entered the median and struck the cable barrier with the side of her vehicle. The vehicle became disabled. was uninjured and was taken to Mercy Hospital by Sheriff’s Deputies. The North Dakota Highway Patrol will be investigating the crash. Sheriff McClaflin said kept as calm as can be expected and due to her quick thinking, she was able to avoid causing any injuries to others on the roadway. 2023 Tuscon Limited Gas - Multiple instances on Vehicle Forward collision warning system activating with alarms noted but no activation of emergency braking while sitting at stop light with cars in front and back that are not moving. Radio system going to show surround view and in some cases only front view even though at stop light. Biggest issue this weekend while taking a curve while merging onto another freeway the emergency braking system activated for no reason. First time occurrence. No one beside me or in front of me for some distance but did have someone behind me. It was a quick activation of the brakes and then release, I would say 1-2 second engagement. If had been longer and brought me to stop would of been an accident. I am taking the car to Westlake Hyundai to investigate this week and will report. Also having dealer investigate premature driver seat excessive wear. Car has 15.5K miles on it. I am concerned as this car is exhibiting same issues that my wife's 2018 Tuscon had that ended-up being successfully lemon lawed. I am also seeing way to many similar complaints and Hyundai needs to figure out what is going on with their emergency front collision sensing system and issue a fix or recall.

The rear turn signals on the 2023 Hyundai Tucson are on the rear bumper. They are never seen by any car or truck sitting behind you or next to you in your blindspot. I believe the 2022 & the 2024 also have this issue, and there are numerous complaints about it online, especially on Reddit and auto forums. They are dangerous. Failure to accelerate. While entering Route 95 from on ramp traveling at about 40 miles the car failed to accelerate. Gas pedal revved engine but failed to accelerate and slowed. Safety of myself and others in grave risk as I was trying to merge into traffic that was traveling at 65 miles per hour. I contacted dealer and was told appointment was not available for weeks and they never heard of the problem. I will bring auto into dealership and leave it with them as it is clearly unsafe to drive. No warning light on dash or engine light problem was present.

The contact owned a 2023 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while his mother was driving at an undisclosed speed, she heard an abnormal sound emanating from an unknown location of the vehicle, after which the vehicle began to accelerate on its own. The driver attempted to stop the vehicle, but the brake pedal pulsated and failed to slow the vehicle, resulting in the driver briefly losing control of the vehicle and only coming to a complete stop after colliding with a utility pole. Both the driver and passenger side air bags deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The driver and passenger were both transported to an area hospital by EMT and treated for injuries to the chest sustained from the air bags. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.

The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH approaching a RED traffic light and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to stop as needed. The contact steered the vehicle on a patch of grass nearby and shifted into neutral(N) to stop the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The battery was detached and reconnected to reset the vehicle. The contact was able to drive the vehicle at low speeds. The dealer was contacted and informed of the failure. The dealer stated that without warning lights being illuminated they would not be able to diagnose the vehicle to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,600.

Upon closing the driver’s side door, the panoramic sunroof exploded. The car is currently at the dealership where it was purchased. It is available for inspection. Safety……Any occupants within the vehicle would have been exposed to the shards of glass if the sunshade was open! The dealer stated that Hyundai has approved the replacement of the exploded sunroof glass and the cleaning of the glass remnants inside the car. The was no warning or symptoms prior to this incident. We requested a loaner vehicle but as of today we have not received one. Completion date stated 1 week..order and installation. The rounded upwards photo of the sunroof glass, the stress fractures at the front and rear of the glass as well as the inward bending of the front sunroof corners gives every indication of an upward movement of the glass from within the car. It was not damaged by any objects external to the vehicle. There are many similar incidents cited on the internet

The gear was not shifted and the controls still displayed “D” both on the dashboard and the gear selector. This happened twice 5 days apart from each other. This car has an automatic transmission and the automatic engine shut off was on.

While driving 35mph on a 3-lane street in the far left lane, a driver of a Ford F-150 was in the center lane about two car lengths ahead, decided to make a right turn onto a residential street (as if he were driving a semi). As I got closer, the forward collision warning suddenly alerted and immediately initiated emergency braking system causing all 3 passengers to be thrown forward. I hit the steering wheel before seat belt caught me. I was not even within distance and he was turning in opposite direction of my lane. There also seems to be sensitivity issues with lane keeping feature as in Phoenix, there are never ending freeway construction with make-shift lanes not always marked well. On several occasions the steering wheel was jerked out of my hands because it couldn’t detect the lanes any longer. It has caused me to avoid freeways all together and has made me miss the exit off the freeway twice now. I thought this feature only activated during active cruise control, but apparently it does it regardless. Now I’m beginning to have problems with display going out at the worst times. I will be taking my Tucson to a dealer to have them deactivate both systems & advise of display. I shouldn’t have to pay for this. I’ll take over the driving, thank you very much!

The car suddenly and unintentionally accelerated. To avoid going through the back of my garage, I turned slightly and hit the frame of the garage. It continued to accelerate for a few seconds until I managed to stop it. I then backed up. Again, the car suddenly unintentionally accelerated. I managed to stop it. I slowly drove it into the garage. I left it in the garage until having it towed to Planet Hyundai. I did not want to drive it in case it accelerated on the drive to Planet Hyundai. I was driving about 5 mph when I hit the frame of the garage. The car continued to accelerate. Automatic Emergency breaking and Forward collision warning. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer. The inspector or the dealer could not reproduce the problem. The vehicle can be inspected. The vehicle has been parked at Planet Hyundai from 1/29/2024 to 4/15/2024 I reported the incident to Hyundai USA.I have not received any inspection reports.

The trim on the driver's side rear door flew off while traveling at approximately 65 miles per hour. Luckly no one was behind me. I was able to retrieve the trim piece from the highway and it was determined to have been placed improperly on the car. The trim was not able to be replaced due to damage when it was run over by several vehicles. The warranty says it's covered but the trim has been on back order for a month.

When pulling out of my driveway onto street, I lost acceleration. My vehicle would not go oer 35 mph and the RPMs were revving up too 5000 without speed moving. I tried changing the drive mode to fix it, that did not help. I pulled over,s topped the car and restarted and all seemed normal. This has happened 2 other times since I bought the car. The other 2 times was while i was on the interstate the engine stopped engaging and i could not accelerate. Both times the issue corrected itself by the time I could get safely out of traffic. This is a major accident concern as there is no warning before this happens.
