While driving, there is a loss of fuel pressure at random. It has happened when stopped at traffic light and while driving on the freeway, the vehicle does not respond to the gas pedal being pressed. This is unsafe for myself and my passengers, as I cannot confidently change lanes as I never know when it will happen. The problem has been reported to the dealership, but no confirmation on their ability to reproduce this. It was announced as a recall issue 07/2025 but still not resolution. There are never any warning lights before this happens, so its always a surprise when it happens.

The contact owns a 2022 Lincoln Aviator. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 26V123000 (Back Over Prevention) and 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the parts for the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the remedy to be available. The contact stated that the back over camera and alarm system would fail intermittently, and the park aid stopped message would display on the vehicle. The dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the remedy for 26V123000 (Back Over Prevention) would not be available till Q2 OF 2026, and they were unsure of when the remedy for 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) would be available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced any failure was approximately 57,000.

THIS REQUIRES A RECALL ASAP. Dealers are well aware of this problem as is Lincoln CHQ but Lincoln refuses to address it. Rear camera cannot differentiate between steady rain & an object which then causes car to engage the collision avoidance system which then prevents ability to drive in reverse gear. There have been many rearview camera recalls on this car & each has made things worse. The ONLY way I can drive car in reverse (in rain) is to TURN OFF collision avoidance system (insane). Having to turn off this safety feature when it’s needed the most (in rain) is VERY dangerous. I tapped a person backing out of a parking spot. He was walking in blind spot, couldn’t see him on rearview camera, parking sensor alerts failed, collision avoidance was off because I can’t drive in reverse in rain. Thank God he wasn’t injured. BEGGING NHTSA TO FORCE A RECALL BEFORE A HUMAN GETS RUN OVER.

REF C PILLAR RECALL & NHTSA Complaint # 11713372 by another owner on 11/18/25. NHTSA NEEDS TO ISSUE RECALL FOR A PILLARS. Have had wind noise issue on front passenger side since I bought car. Dealer looked at numerous times in 3 yrs & always stated ‘unable to recreate condition’ (likely due to not testing on Hwy at 65mph which is when this noise can be heard). Took car in for C Pillar recall fall 2025. Dealer said they weren’t loose so didn’t replace them. Left w/car 12/22/25 & immed heard wind noise on Hwy. Returned to service & this time, DEALER INSPECTED A PILLARS & FOUND RIGHT SIDE WAS LOOSE so replaced both. Tried to charge me (was 2 wks out of warranty) but given multiple attempted repairs during warranty & my open case w/CHQ they split repair cost. Thankfully A pillars didn’t break loose & injure human or another driver in past 3 yrs. Dealer told me Ford had A pillar recall but Lincoln’s weren’t included in it. There appears to be a pervasive issue with failure of the adhesive used for many parts by the assembly plant.

REF RECALL 26V117 (Wiper Motor failure) & MY (2) PRIOR NHTSA COMPLAINTS; 11681607 & 11688314 (Autosense wiper operation failure). Autosense wiping does not clear wIndshield enough for visibility & therefore can’t be relied upon for safe driving. The only way to get MANUAL INTERMITTENT wiper operation is to go to SYNC settings & turn off auto wiper while driving in rain on Hwy at 65+ mph. Seriously?! THIS IS DISTRACTED DRIVING AT ITS WORST. Took dealer 2+ yrs to discover the shipping protective film used on wiper sensor was NOT removed by Chicago assembly plant prior to installing the sensor. Apr 2025, dealer replaced my sensor however it failed again by Aug 2025. Dealer had car 10/28/25-12/22/25 to fix multiple issues incl Autosense wiping. No codes appear & they can’t ID root cause of problem. Took car back for service 12/29/25-2/13/26 (multiple issues incl this) & they still can’t ID root cause. Given there’s now also a recall for wiper motor failure I requested a loaner from Lincoln CHQ but they have refused. I’M REQUESTING NHTSA REQUIRE LINCOLN TO PROVIDE LOANERS UNTIL THEY FIX ALL WIPER OPERATION FAILURES.

Lincoln Way App team bricked (some) users by deploying an App update early Feb 2026 that was not backwards compatible for use of basic features/function. I last used App Jan 2026 while car was at dealer but when I picked up car 2/13/26 I was BRICKED with no ability to use App since. Checked Lincoln website & compatibility reqmt stated IOS 16.0 is min req’d, updates are optional & not required to continue use for basic features like lock/unlock, remote start, chk tire pressure, etc. (see screenshot attached). Opened case w/Lincoln Way App team 2/17/26. Ops mgr confirmed my iphone was compatible & iOS 16.0 was still min. reqmt. Said he’d escalate. Suddenly, wks later Lincoln updated website & changed compatibility requirements with NO NOTICE TO USERS (before or since) they’ve changed compatibility reqmts (they have users names, email, addr & phone #s since they’re req’d upon setup). In addition, NONE of the App version release notes shown in App Store indicate any change to Min compatibility reqmts. Development team is negligent & Lincoln needs to fix.

Regarding safety recall notice 25S66/NHTSA recall 25V407 - we took our car to the local Lincoln dealer in Lubbock (Gene Messer Ford/Lincoln) in late November for the repair of the recall "C-Pillar Applique Delamination." There was considerable wind/rattle noise coming from the passenger side, which is a component of the recall. After completing the recall we noticed the wind/rattle noise is still there and even slightly worse. We have contacted the service representative at Gene Messer Ford/Lincoln regarding this and have yet to receive a reply. We are reaching out to you for a solution to the noise problem. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks for your time, [XXX] and [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On July 25, 2025 my 2022 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid Grand Touring Edition stalled while driving on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs. I lost partial control of the vehicle but was able to guide it onto the shoulder and allow it to coast to a stop. I had this vehicle towed to the dealership (where it was purchased new): Phil Long Lincoln, Motor City in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It has been there ever since (almost 5 months) and has not been repaired. The service department suspects that the current safety recall issued July 8, 2025 (NHTSA Recall number: 25V455) was the root cause. They claim they could find nothing in the logs but they cannot rule out this as a problem. This is a life threatening issue with this vehicle and I have also been without my car for almost 5 months with repair available or capable by the dealer or Lincoln. This a very unreasonable amount of time and has been an undue burden upon me. I have sought to get a vehicle buy back under both the Lemon Law and the duration of this safety recall and they have refused (Lincoln corporate and the dealership). Please help.

Rear door trim came loose and fell off while driving. Had the service department at the local dealership look at the missing trim on the rear of the car and they noticed multiple of the plastic clips holding the trim on the rear were broken and remained in the area where the trim was attached.

1- ABS/Braking Issue The ABS system appears to be malfunctioning. On multiple occasions, typically once or twice a week, when I apply the brakes, the tires lock up and cause the vehicle to skid. This happens most often when descending hills or backing up on a sloped driveway. The wheels lock and slide until I release the brake pedal, posing a serious safety concern. 2- Severe Water Leak Interior Roof Area There is a significant water leak from the interior roof, specifically from the top center area near the rearview mirror, every time it rains. I’ve taken the vehicle to the dealer multiple times. They confirmed that all drain tubes are clear, all seals are functioning properly, and no water appears to be entering from the sliding moonroof. However, the issue persists. Water pours down like a waterfall through the vent (as shown in the attached photo), soaking the center console and creating an unsafe driving condition. I have also recorded videos showing the water intrusion. Living in Guam, where it rains frequently, this has become a major problem. 3- Malfunctioning Interior Ceiling Light The ceiling light on the driver's side (center dome light) turns on randomly and often remains on until manually switched off. The dealer has inspected this issue but reported no faults found. Despite this, the problem continues to occur intermittently. 4- Rear Camera Display Issue When shifting into reverse, the monitor occasionally turns completely blue, and the backup camera does not function. The blue screen remains until the vehicle is turned off and restarted. This happens sporadically and disrupts safe maneuvering.

Emergency escape issue Like many modern cars the aviator was designed with electric opening doors. Of the four doors, only the front driver side door has a manual override in case of emergency. That means if a major accident was to occur on that ONE door and disable the vehicle the other 3 doors do not have a way to exit. Why would the nhtsa allow a vehicle on a road that at a minimum doesn't have a override for left side and right side or more than one door?

My Aviator was parked with trunk open to load groceries from shopping cart. Must have stepped under bumper such that it triggered the kick sensor to close the tailgate. The problem is, it did NOT detect spouse’s body, did NOT stop the tailgate from closing & as a result, hit him on the head. He jolted out of the way & the tailgate continued to close all the way. This is serious safety issue!

Reference my NHTSA complaint # 11681607 dtd 8/19/25 regarding the problem with Autosense wipers that I’ve had since I bought my Aviator 2.5 yrs ago. As I previously reported, problem was finally resolved in April when dealer replaced the Autosense sensor. I have come to learn that the plastic covering dealer found on the sensor (see attached pic) is actually a protective film for part shipment & should have been removed by the assembly plant prior to installing the sensor but was NOT. There are other owners that have this same ‘wipers gone wild’ condition with Autosense wiping in which the windshield does not clear enough for safe driving & you need to switch to manual wiper operation to clear the windshield. This plant assembly error should trigger a recall with all manufacturers that use this part, not just Lincoln.

Despite multiple backup camera recalls & fixes, the backup camera blurs visibility & engages the backup collision avoidance system when there’s a steady rain thereby preventing me from backing car up my DW & parking in garage. The vehicle repeatedly stops & engages the rear collision avoidance system so much so that I had to turn it off in settings to back my car in. Cleaning the backup camera lense did not improve this condition. It appears the system cannot differentiate between rain & an object.

Aug 19, 2025Visibility & wipers

The AUTOSENSE wiper function has been erratic & not working properly since my Aviator was a yr old (2022). None of the Autosense wiper stalk positions worked correctly to clear the windshield enough for safe visability. I had dealer check this problem 3 times in 2023 & 2024 & they indicated no problem was found & no codes appeared. After experiencing dangerous visability issues on a 4 hr trip in which I needed to keep the regular wiper on to see (because Autosense didn’t clear windshield enough to see on Hwy), I left vehicle at dealer & refused to pick it up until problem was corrected once & for all. Since car is under warranty they decided to replace the sensor & found it to be defective (yellowed). Since replacing the sensor Autosense now works. This leads me to believe these sensors are failing prematurely. I’m posting this in case others are experiencing a similar problem with Autosense wipe.

Lincoln Aviators 2020-2024 using the Sync 3 Radio screen. Have a issue not switching to dimmed/night mode during night time driving. This is a major safety issue because when driving a night you have a super bright display inches from your eyes creating a blinding issue at night. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The 2nd row seats have an electrical switch to slide and slightly fold the seat for entry to the 3rd row. This switch seems to get stuck and will randomly slide and tilt the seat forward while driving as well as while stationary. while driving, the seat can hit the back of the driver seat very hard and cause disorientation. The vehicle has not yet been reproduced or inspected by a dealer or other service center. the vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance rep, or any other organization. There were no warnings or messages prior to failure, this car I purchased used and the symptom was presenter as soon as I drove off the lot.
